Kazi – You obviously do seem to care for some reason as you keep posting about us. No, I do not believe you are criticizing the way we play. But, you do seem to make things up in your mind about PAXA, like how every post we make has something to do with how good we are and how bad everyone else is, for example. Awesome videos! I’m taking my Necro to 80 with WvW in mind. Can you give me some build suggestions? I do like dagger/x and staff offhand a lot, but unsure of what to go with mainhand dagger. Focus does look nice but I enjoy the blind from dagger 4 a lot. If you could direct me to a build page so I can get an idea of what you’re running I would be very happy

I also don’t like the fact that your Snow Leopard racial is more useful than any of the class elites necromancers have. But that has to do with ANet not knowing how to balance elite skills properly.

Any of the class elites would be vastly more effective. He didn’t even use the ability in the video, so at bare minimum a dead Flesh Golem would be just as good. Nevermind actually using it to knock someone down to set up burst / close / create a gap.

Not to mention if Snow Leopard did get used, it’s a full minute longer cooldown than Lich or Plague. With no stability.

Since all I fight with is small groups of 2-6 ppl i need something to pull back if we get over ran by zergs, snow lep helps me with this. I could rec this but its not that interesting

They don’t give times until they are 100% sure they are rolling it out then, often they don’t even announce what they are doing until they are close to rolling it out, as well.

Since they don’t update there customers on whats going on they will be losing ppl. Pretty sure the march update is going to see a big player drop off unless big changes are made to the game.

next time start off using rams on a tower before you try hitting garrison with a golem. Work your way up, i know you aren’t used to it and it must feel funny to hit a gate but its an improvement. Oh rams are those things you throw down near a gate, you just press 1 on them while targeting the gate. They cost 40 supply to build and they are only 6 silver from a “siege vendor”, and welcome to wvw.

I’m the necro and I agree with you a little, for that fight was better to be in ranged 90% of the fight but if u looked at my solo video its a lot different. Osif is right tho I think certain other class videos are worse. The video wasn’t really about the play of me on my necro but more so the whole keep take.

I like Runes of the Thief. Crit and Condition damage are great for any build, and the +10% damage when behind or beside your foe works well with Fears.

Not sure in a group setting why you chose not to run wells/Plague form

I use snow lep so i can stealth and use the spd to lose targets of me when I get focused, it wasn’t needed in any of those clips.

Epidemic I like better then wells cause i spread everything and its up every 15sec — even tho in that video. I don’t use it a lot cause i only been playing necro for 2 weeks still learning.

Corrupt boon is great to take down guard healers faster.

I didn’t call you boring at all but you took it personal I said ppl(We offered to put up a video you would enjoy). We record it cause its what we enjoy just like you post ur pics of u taking a map. Why do ppl use twitch because they enjoy doing it and ppl watch it.

Whats your issue? You play how you like, will play how we like. WvW isn’t about points sorry to break to ya. Its about having fun. Not having fun = no game to play. If points is fun for you great. My thing is having fun. I make videos cause i have fun doing them.

Its like you think small group stuff is new or something. Guess what it happens on every server not just ours. Small groups make a difference you just don’t notice it, we slow down zergs. We hit keeps just to get ppl to come to them, we know we cant take it fast enough with 5. Well guess what we just took 20 ppl to come check on this keep only 5 ppl are on and now there out of our zergs hair.

So..
I watched the video.

And I have to say, I sat and counted how many upleveled AR players there were in the first fight.
There were quite a few. And as all of you know, an upleveled lvl15 is truly awful. Infact any uplvl’d player is bad due to non-80 gear. So in actual fact, if you want to take the upped guys out of the equation, your 5 vs 10 was actually more like a 5 vs 6/7.
And I’d also like to point out that you were working together as a team while a few of those AR were total pug guilds that I’ve never seen before in WvW over the months we have played AR.
And even though I suspect you removed the start of the attack for this very reason. You would also have had a huge advantage when you probably surprised attacked them. And anyone who does WvW will know, when attacked from behind an enemy can have 1/3rd of your HP off before you even turn around.

Well im glad u caught that the video wasn’t the start of the fight. But guess what we have it and we took it out. And now you thinking WHY? Well let me start by saying the recording starts with the necro being updafted(yes that’s right we didnt get the jump or start the fight) and we turn then kite them to the island. It evens has dylic DIEING and the necro gets downed but gets a stomp rezz. So now its 10+ on 4 of us. (Dylic ends up running back) We slowly kite them over kill some culling kicks in fads some out. Again we do have it. We just thought it wasn’t interesting to throw in there. In the end it was long and a lil dull to have the 1st part, it was like 5 mins of kitting.

Hey if you PUG then u pug not our fault, we get steam rolled by being out numbered at times and a lot of low lvl are there. The video is up to show we dont run 10 – 15+ ppl to kill 3-5.

PAXA: a group of 10-15 people, going out of their way to stealth-portal kill groups of 3-5 people in the exact same areas where there is absolutely no challenge.

I have really tried to understand how this group of people can even have fun killing upscaled noobs and avoiding conflict with groups equal their numbers while NSP has been 3/3 since the beginning of time in BP/AR/NSP bracket.

I mean, how much fun can you have seeking fights with the odds in your favor, while offering nothing to your server?

I have been recently running small CoM roaming groups of 3-5 to practice our pvp skills and most of the times we have seen PAXA, it was something like 10-15 of them chasing random people around the map. And when the fight was equal in numbers they ran away like chickens. I mean, whenever i fought a PAXA 1v1, it was mostly me chasing him down back to their group. pathetic, really…

Go help your server, cap a keep or something???

1st fight u can clearly see like 15 PAXA members(if you count the clones from the 1 mesmer there 32 PAXA ppl cause his spec allows 17 clones) and only 4 red players

The last fight is just lame those PAXA guys!! There’s at least 24 PAXA guys there with 2 red’s

Lich is like putting a target on your head. As a necro I find I get targeted a lot. I don’t want to help ppl find me. Since I get targeted a lot I like snow lep for the stealth and spd to lose ppl.

I like sigil of rage cause ppl don’t see it coming also if u get a good proc u can even quickness stomp you see it in action in the group video. Focus I use 5% dmg sigil. Staff I want to use blood lust but im poor and dont have the coin atm lol.

Life transfer I try to save when I need hp, at times tho I should of used cause I was low on hp. I cant see why I would use it to do dps with full or close to full hp unless I’m chasing a target that’s almost dead.

The dude at 2:12, again the staff really doesnt help in close combat. When he turned into a dust storm or what ever it is, you could have switched to D shroud and used fear since you were already too close to start casting a mark.

That wouldn’t work because Tornado grants Stability while it is active.

Yea i wondered about that, so i checked, didnt see a stability boon, or does it look like something else in tornado form.

Stability is in tornado for sure I checked, I’m not sure if u can corrupt it, I’ll have to test it.

You say necro is weak against elementalist, I cant disagree since i havent used elementalist or agree because of the way the necro class is. Ok so I double checked the video epidemic was only in the 1st fight and I forgot to change it out(brain fart). Corrupt boon was to counter eles since there are a lot of solo ones but in the end I started changing it out as u can see in some fights. I seen better options for solo play(videos are not in any order so u may see utilities all over the place). I like wells and I don’t like them cause ppl know to get out of them most the time.

Another thing is why use a staff? Its slower, and you are always staying close to the targets even against melee. You do more damage with a sceptre, can cripple melee faster which wuld have made you avoid draining the shroud in the second fight. You can also use a focus with it then use twin daggers so you can get some blinds in.

I like staff cause of the aoe attacks a lot of times most fights are not solo and staff 3 gives me a aoe chill and poison. Staff 2 also gives a hp regen. The dmg on staff is decent but slower yes. Also Staff gives me the 2nd fear. At 2:56 of the video u will see me use it as I fear the guy off the downed thief so he didn’t start to rez which helped me get the stomp off. I did run with 2 daggers to start with but changed to focus for the 2nd chill. I do miss the dagger blind tho. Aslo the 2nd regen from focus 4 plus the vul on the target.

The fight at 1:31, that was pretty fun to watch and you had her nicely surprised, you froze which was alright since you are using staff already. The thing is you got close enough to use blood is power, switch to dagger (a second would have been nice here) , immobilize and tear her apart but you didn’t . It would have taken the target a few seconds to realize what just happened, by then it might have been too late (especially if you switched to well of vulns.

I see what you mean here but I was assuming with me getting the jump she would blow her blink if I dagger3 on her, was trying to save it didn’t work out but maybe with getting the jump I should of been a bit more aggressive.

Ya eles get stability in tornado and pretty sure u cant corrupt boon them either but not 100% on that I will try to test it with a ele buddy and see.

The elementalist was tough yea but you didnt transform :{ Im also not sure why you are using Spec walk (the move at 3:30 was pretty sweet tho)

The last fight was pure win.

In the end it looked to me that elementalist is simply easier to use in solo than necro thats why you think necro is worse.

I like spec walk and been using it more the spd is nice 33s at 33% movement and its a stun breaker.

The last fight was funny I didn’t see anyone for like 10min and I didn’t want to lose him lol.

The ele is better for solo, but now that I have more time under my belt with the necro. I think there = in group play. Thanks again man.

Yep it works on everything and if the stars align, I think I can get off 2 full chains of dagger1 or at least it looks that way in some other fights when i try to watch for it.

They feel its better to keep ppl in the dark then to say what there working on. Makes no sense, just say what ur doing for each class but nothing is 100% so at least we have a idea.

Sadly, it’s better business if they keep silent. By keeping quiet, they deceive nor disappoint anyone, and they keep gamers playing by vague carrot-on-a-stick promises of a better future.

You can still have the carrot on the stick with more info, just take wow for example they do it, even if its vague like class A is being looked at in this area it was great when GW2 said aoe dmg is being looked at. They need to do more this give us more carrot.

Just like with culling they said they had a fix they rolled it out and it didn’t turn out so they pulled it back. At least we knew it was being looked into. Now they made another change to culling try to address this.

When they mentioned ranger changes way back whenever, sure the buffs weren’t the greatest but it was nice knowing something was coming for the class.

you should get 5 sec of fury if u pop in and out of ds.
