Guild Wars 2

Hello,

This is actually in regards to GW1. I play both games, and I linked my accounts. I had only logged in once to GW1 after GW2 was released., however I am now having a problem logging back into GW1.

My old account was on another laptop and the password was saved so I never had to type it in. I am unable to remember the password, I sent an email without a response from support. I wanted to post this on the GW1 forum, but it asked me for my account password to log in, obviously I don’t have this.

Can support please forward this email to GW1 support? I would like to at least have a response.

Hey all.

Been trying to run GW2 with Linux Ubuntu. I know the limitations and that it is experimental, I also know about the PlayonLinux options and such. I was able to get the game working about a month ago and it ran fairly well considering it only utilizes one processor in Linux.

Now for my problem. I had to uninstall Linux on that partition due to a problem unrelated to GW2. I reinstalled everything and have it all downloaded. For some reason, when I run GW2, I get the crisp sounds, but absolutely no video. So basically I am logged into the welcome screen as I can hear the intro music, but there is no visual to allow me to choose my character. My sense is that this has to do with some video component not updated (i.e dx9, flash, etc). My vid card is fine, has run it without a problem before as I stated, even at high quality. I have used all different wine versions with the same outcome.

Anyone have any ideas or input? All are welcome, none are silly. Would be great to see if I can fix this problem. As a bonus, I will offer 5 gold to the person who successfully provides the solution

Im finding this event particularly enjoyable and well “balanced” between the leg work required to complete and the accessibility of the event.

Anyone else agree or disagree? I hope future content takes some of this blueprint.

I agree with you general consensus, I absolutely enjoy this content. It has the most teamwork and “rah rah” invoking strategy yet. People rooting for other groups (for team success obviously), it is winnable in overflow, and, there is thought to the event which itself is battle based.

Furthermore, I enjoy that it does not require a great deal wping out (outside of the prerequisite activities to gain access to the secret lair). This is very important GW2 devs so please take note….players don’t mind a bit of exercise in an event, but too much running around and division of players within the LS is not enjoyable. This is just right. Some legwork to access the chests but the event itself is in one location. The five minute countdown is a proper touch too.

The LS content is slowly growing on many of us. Aanet might have something here, and we just need to give it some time. These types of events keep my interest. It will be interesting to see what the next content is to challenge this one. I haven’t eagerly anticipated future LS content since this one in all honesty. Not that any of it has been unenjoyable, but this one grabbed my attention due to the proper balance within the entire process.

I’ve been buying gems constantly for a year, it has never been this flatline for this period of time.

Imagine the price of an stock index flatting like this? I have to think there is some manipulation going on, or, sell and buy orders aren’t affecting prices anymore…

That gems haven’t move in 2 weeks time?

I always buy in 2’s, so 2 gold equals 28 gems at the moment, it has been the exact same price for 2 weeks, possible even longer.

With the number of players and activity in the TP with new items and such there has to be buying and selling of gems in a manner that would affect their price.

How is it that there has been zero movement?

Sold a few times, sometimes there is a delay of an hour or two but I sold a few golds worth last night. Anyone else have this problem?

I try to log in and the GW2 log in screen just freezes. I would delete the .dat file but it is 16gigs and i am assuming it is the local data that the game needs to load (textures, maps etc.).

Anyone else basically unable to log in?

Happened to me too and many others it seems. Got stuck in L.A overflow, stayed for 45 minutes (right until now), say some fireworks; no achievement, no message, no love.

It’s a long story about the multiple tags . We have settled on “The Unnamed Guild”, which is sort of fitting for us.

Laid back, no stress, 495+ in guild at all times on the Jade Quarry server. We offer constant buffs, looking for members who can represent guild as we have lost that of late. We have members online, but we aren’t getting the repping we once got due to the nature of the guild, which is not demanding per se, it is a balance I am trying to strike. We have all guild missions unlocked except JP (have influence to unlock it) and we activate multiple guild missions all at least once a week for guild activity, commendations, merits etc.

I started playing Guild Wars since the first month of release 8 years ago, I started in GW2 with prepurchase as I am loyal to the brand. I started this guild as I had been in many guilds in the past, some of the most well known, and I knew what I DIDN’T want. Therefore, the guild is easy going and we welcome players of all skill levels, experience and time spent in game. I consider myself the “manager” , I research and activate the buffs, work to plan weekend guild events etc. To me and the guild it’s a game not a job…you can play as often as I do (over 2300 hours), or once a week, your choice.

I don’t need gold contributions, all have ability to invite other like minded members, and all have access to the Guild Bank. So even if you are a casual player, that’s no problem, my only rule is you aren’t offensive to members, otherwise, it is all about buffs, sharing playing experiences and ideas (and hopefully repping).
