Congratulations ANET! Too bad everyone is leaving/has left due to the spvp being so kitten frustrating!
I don’t believe there is a need for revamping anything. Simply adding a map type that isn’t conquest would address a lot of the concerns I mentioned.
It’s absolutely saddening that I love the fighting mechanics and gameplay of spvp so much but the implementation of matches is so frustrating and pointless (unless you have a team) that I never want to play again.
Why not try and make a few spvp maps or types capable of appealing to soloers who don’t have a team but prefer solo spvp play.
SoloQ is by far more frustrating that queing into team matches solo. And matches are won and lost by teams not individuals. In node holding map types, if you are one person down, then forget it.
Why not death match games or “defuse the bomb” style games where one person can be a clutch and hero of a match. What about match types or rewards that are tailored to solo players? Not everyone has time to be on a team! Or wants to be on one!
Again I say, the fighting mechanics in GW2 are awesome and by far my favorite of any mmo but the way spvp matches are setup really push me away from the game.
If you make a system that can destroy the incentive to go afk then it wont be such a problem. Aa ban from soloq for a couple hours if they get enough reports should help. The system has potential it just needs to evolve.
Can you please add a report feature for tourney pvp/soloq.
