S/D Condi Build Video – http://goo.gl/bYGs9n
Stronkhold Beta Gameplay – http://goo.gl/IMb8qb
just out of interest, why s/d over d/d or p/d? death blossom plus caltrops and geomancy seems like it would be pretty amazing. regardless, cool build dude.
Well I hate the mobility of p/d and d/d. Infiltrators strike and flanking strike are like all I need. It’s great for getting in and out, condi removal, boon stripping, and evade. So I use the weapon set more for it’s utility. Also it hits more turrets when I swing. Since you cant crit turrets this has decent power to take em out.
Yeah it totally changes the play style and is alot of fun. If you try the build please rate it on metabattle. It will get trashed if it doesn’t get at least a 3 average.
Many people have asked about my current build so I made this video and posted the build on MetaBattle if anyone is interested in checking it out.

#GW2VOIP
This sounds awesome!!!!
Here’s my jam….

If you want to get this in the radar of the devs please keep this thread alive.
I already knew this. I guess just a comment and form of recognition would be great.
Can we get some input from an ANET dev on this?
Biggest thing is the ability to automatically connect with your team in soloq etc. Any VOIP is a nice thing but making it absolutely convenient to listen to your team is key.
Some interesting points. I do want more money to flow through pvp.
I would like to hear a dev respond to the post. They have responded to most other posts with high views and comments but no this one yet. Is ANET afraid of the community being able to talk over VOIP? Like it would be more work or a nuisance to manage?
Again I will mention those claiming trolling and annoyance should realize there is a mute function with VOIP. So most negative responses are invalid.

You were favored in your first two matches, so you lost one point in both. The third match was even, but you got over 400 points so your ladder points didn’t change. This is working as intended, but it sounds like you think the match prediction should weigh premades more versus solo players.
This is another argument for VOIP ingame or plugin with a client that everyone can join and be in the proper channels with each other. Communication is huge and many premades have that. Thus increasing the odds in their favor. I know anyone can use VOIP but really a huge majority don’t. Make it convenient and available please! I made another forum post about this.
Does everyone not understand that you can mute if you want to?
Benefit outweighs the costs.
Actually raging will always happen. What it will do is allow for better communication and better matches overall. Even with raging/trolling actual strategy will come across instead of 5 newbs running around mindlessly.
Yeah it hasn’t had a real worthwhile update in months.
I’ve opened this up for discussion over on AspectGG’s forum as well
http://forums.aspect.gg/t/thoughts-on-better-ways-for-in-game-communication/144
Thanks Blu. Definitely needs more attention and maybe someone out there could connect ANET with an existing VOIP client to make a plugin or something.
Some awesome notes. And as far as I can see I really don’t see an argument against it. Most competitive games have this option. I’d like to keep this convo going until we hear a dev chime in.
We’re all guinea pigs.
A big advantage to communication is quickly learning what’s right and wrong through feedback. Right now there are many people who are locked into bad habits due to poor communication.
On top of that many people don’t see downloading an extra program as easy or convenient even if some of us do. If you do not want VOIP simply turn it off like you can simply ignore this post.
The simplest solution might just be ANET posting about a specific server that it recommends players use.
If there was a plugin which automatically put you in the same room as your team that would be fantastic. As long as there is a simple and easy way for randoms and soloq’rs to connect I believe that would be huge.
I was wondering if this would boost pvp. Many don’t have TS and those that do have a huge advantage. I believe adding ingame voice or at least if GW2 promoted some TS/Mumble/Vent plugin that it would help boost pvp players to learn good practices faster.
The players at the top of the leader-boards are going through hell to keep that top spot and just basically throwing away time grinding. Many people who made the top on last-leader board season were so worn out they didn’t even want to think about doing it again. This is no way to run a leader-board. It ends up leaving the winners sour and tired. This should definitely be adjusted to reward the talent and not the time.
I mean there is plenty of time for anet to check if a player has loaded in or not in that minute time span before game. Seems so easy to implement and something that would save 9 people time.
If someone is not back in a match for X amount of time it should be canceled. Even if I get a loss I would rather have that than wait through a worthless match.
I mean shouldn’t it be an easy thing to just stop from happening? If 1 person doesn’t show up just stop the match…
I still get a fair amount of 4v5s. Especially if the que has taken long.
50% win rate needs a nerf.
Well I agree that they should have a report feature. I thought it just might be an interesting thing to add. I like the idea that only team mates and not the opposing team would vote. Also this may help you not play with that player if you guys don’t get along.
I think if there was a simple way to upvote or downvote teammates in ranked que that would help perhaps weed our or put poor sports together.
3 – 4v5s in the past few hours. Off to a great start. :P
Not like it will matter. SPvP is at the bottom of the totem pole.
no it isnt, gvg is.
What is gvg? lol
Ever since the recent patch any time I open the score menu my fps plummets for 2 seconds or so. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yup. This sucks.
Multi Ques
Windows open during match create lag or stutter
Overall lag
Ques abandoning themselves

Where can I park without being forced to take out a loan? The mall charged $13 for about 2-3 hours.
Take some time and drive around there are many $5-7 all day lots.
Some great suggestions. Awesome to see/hear from other SA peeps.
Hi everyone,
I’ll be at all 3 days of PAX and since San Antonio is my hood I wanted to pass along some suggestions if you’re looking for lively restaurants or bars in the downtown area.
Also I would love to meet some GW2 locals and visitors! Feel free to PM me and we can get in contact. Also it’s been warm lately so bring your tshirts!
I am more known as “best teef na” (self titled) in the pvp realm but I do dabble in wvw and pve.
San Antonio
Check out downtown and the riverwalk but as a local I must tell you many of the restaurants just tourist traps so I have some suggestions.
Definitely go to Hot Joy which is an uber ride away or even a walk from downtown. My friends run it and it opened last year and was already on the top 10 for bonapetit. It’s just an awesome vibe for drinks or eats.

Cry about the leaderboards but I like that it’s a grind. Pros win tournaments and gems gold etc. This grinding will actually help create new experienced players and boost the overall community for the better. And at a faster pace than before I think the method is brilliant. Just be content that you know you how good you are even if a tournament title isn’t enough.
As a teef I approve of dees changes.
Although I think the tooltip or the actual skill for shadow trap needs some tweaking. It is a very weird skill that doesn’t work if you’re in the wrong place when casting.
Is anyone in the pvp community going to visit pax south?
Also my llama and how it isn’t obtained yet.
Why not make it so if there are more than 2 of 1 class…have a box pop up for the 3 people if 1 would like to switch classes with no penalty? I understand the mentality of not having buildwars…but most likely if you have 3 of anything its probably not going to benefit you in anyway.
I like this idea.
This update is a great setup to build a large base for pvp which has been lacking. I believe it will take some time to build up a new set of solid and experience players. In the meantime you need to learn the heard way by big losses. Get better. Get a team.
Yes because getting zerged/mowed down by 5 people at once that are on teamspeak most likely while you have pve heroes that can’t figure out the second exit of the base is a really fun and interesting learning experience!
You know nothing.
That and poor sportsmanship among players doesn’t interest me to get into this community.
There are a few noble souls that paint a optimistic outlook over my head, but those are few also.
GLHF as I run back to the safety of pve.
You sound like a poor sportsman but a very passive aggressive one.
Maybe you’re not that great of a thief which is fine if you want some pointers I can help. Or it could be you just had a bad luck streak with your team. It happens. But if you think there is no reason to continue playing keep it to yourself there doesn’t seem to be anything productive for the community in making this thread.
Why would you lock profession swapping?
If you screw the team into having 3 rangers and 2 thieves (which I recently had in a soloq). Why would you penalize us for changing classes? I also think allowing the freedom and persuasion for people to play other classes should be encouraged and not penalized. Of all the things I’ve seen in this last update this is one that I really disagree with. Let us fix a team build if your match making made a mistake. Buildwars or not 3 rangers and 2 thieves can’t hold a point.
I like the daily to try out new classes. Its honestly one of the first times I’ve dusted off an ele or tried out another class. Its a good thing for the most part.
League system. I think right now the pvp community needs to grow and with the new matchmaking system it will. I think growth is the focus and should remain the focus until there is a large enough community to split into leagues. The silver-lining is that less experience players will play with more experienced players and should learn from those matches even if they lose it should strengthen the community as a whole in the long term.

But still already having to keep an eye on it and not hearing a sound or anything it’s easy to not catch it. Also running towards it for 10 sec is a waste of time while someone is doing something or even decapping.
