The Mantle was sacrifing tens of Thousands of People for quite a while and they were sacrificing People back in GW1. While Saul did save Kryta, he got killed by the Mursaat after seeing that they are no Gods. If Saul would still live he would even aid the Shining Blade to destroy the Mantle.

Is there any one selling raid spots, I figure it would give me a chance at ascended drops and give me an opportunity to learn the fight; what’s the going rate?

you shouldn’t have to pay for help in learning or getting to finish a raid,that is ridiculous. to me that say that raids are messed up..when someone has to pay to get a group or learn..why not just make them easier…and in the future maybe slowly increase the hardness after everyone learns..or pull a gws 1 move normal mode and hardmode..you finish normal mode and you unlock hardmode ..then you can pick which you want normal or hard

like i was saying on another post ..i was waiting around for a group for 2+ hours..couldn’t find or get in a raid group..they want exp..special builds..with special armors..and all these other requirements..i wish it was like pvp..hit a button and then it puts you in a group.

i hate that..exp only..i was sitting in the raid area for like 2 hours..couldn’t find a group..used the LFG thing and after a few mins it kicks you off the list..i wish it was like pvp ..press a button and it sticks you in a random group. because sitting around for hours ..isn’t fun.

In PvP: Bunkering in PvP is not fun. It doesnt bring healthy gameplay. Therefore we dont have nomads

i like that you can respect my nomad in pve..thanks for that..but in pvp i love to bunker it’s fun to me and i love it. just like i see zerker play as boring and no fun..you may see being a bunker that way..and i can respect that. but thats what makes MMO’s great we all see the game from a different point of view..and we all find our own style..just as zerkers can use their stats in pvp..i just want the same thing for nomad players aka bunkers or tanks..

I can also sometimes enjoy Bunkering in PvP. However problem is that with nomads, bunkering becomes incredibly easy. Therefore you would find many games with 3+ bunkers. These games will be: Cant get killed, cant kill others. It will become very lame games for most of us.

Anyway, try playing around with clerics. It might surprise you what you can do with it

It is the same as expect something for 2020 nad ended being badly implemented in game.

he put l2p which means learn to play..which is a form of bullying like calling people trolls is also one..but either way only think i’m asking for it my normal stats, the same as any other build.. and Aeolus i’m cool with you dude..you have been respectful in your posting..but the whole point is other builds get their full stats we get 1/2..i don’t see them cutting the zerkers attack by 1/2 and crit and that rest of their stats..no limit on the condition damage by 1/2…but bunkers and tanks sorry they lose their stats.. thats not cool and super unbalanced.

Let me try to be very clear. In the current state of the game bunkers are NOT at a disadvantage. Bunkers are still extremely powerful. Support elementalist is arguable the most essential build of the game currently, used by every single pro league team (if I remember well). And this is despite their very low HP making it susceptible to burst. Druid is also a very popular build.

With highly defensive amulets like minstrel or nomad, the advantage of those builds just go through the roof, and you would have 2 or 3 full damage players absolutely unable to take down one bunker within a reasonable amount of time. The games would be like in season 1: put one bunker on each node and wait. We had many games with 0 – 0 (yes strict 0 points) for 7 or 8 minutes. This is insanely boring to play and watch.

The problem is that defensive builds do have an advantage in conquest AND the sustain traits and skills have been blown up to insane levels. All of this gives and UNFAIR ADVANTAGE TO DEFENSIVE BUILDS. So the amulet choice is meant to reduce this advantage and get a more even play field between offense and defense.

Finally I would like to add: which class are you trying to play as nomad? Because you can be efficient bunkers in PvP, and if you do not manage to survive and support efficiently, it is probably because you are “carried” by your stats in other game modes and you simply have to improve. But do not expect to survive 3v1 indefinitely, this can already sort of happen, and this is very unhealthy for the game.

From a person who likes to play support.

i use nomad on my necro….so not a lot of support their.. my point how is it a fair match when i start with 1/2 life and 1/2 of my normal def..while other players get to keep their normal stats.. how is losing 1/2 your life , healing, and def an unfair advantage for bunker players..

problem not solved, why should i accept anything less then nomad in pvp..zerkers get their stats, condition players get there stats..why should bunker players accept less then their stats..they have earned not paid for with gold from the tp or gold they got from buy gems and converting to gold…you can’t buy nomad or ventari stats..like you can the others..so why should we settle..because attack players don’t like it..because of people like you bullying others into stopping their post on the forum..dude you can keep at me all you want..but remember i’m a bunker player..i’m in it for the long fight. your burst bullying won’t stop me.

i have at least one of every profession and most are bunker builds..but necro is my favorite ..and having earned the nomad gear by farming mats, crafting..spending what it feels like 40 years walking around the desert at dry top hunting for chest to get recipes and earning geodes to get ventari gear and supplies..working for the day i could use it..and after all that hard work..nothing when you get to pvp.. no nomad..no ventari..but soldiers and zerkers..stuff that you can just buy at the TP… they get their stats but those of us that worked hard to get bunker stats gets nothing….thats not cool..

Viirus c´mon it is not hard to understand, they cant simple add an item to the game, because classes are to broken with those items….

Anet dont balance classes, they change one meta to a more flavourable meta to avoid staleness on the game play, to add sturdy spec they would have to balance most of the classes using those stats and that is one thing that Anet avoids to.

Dont get me wrong i do play bunker, but on this game it is to much broken from what a bunker should be in gw2…. it becames to strong or to weak deppending on the class.

Actually it is pretty easy to understand. Remember in S2 when it was just necro, necro, necro, necro, someotherclass on teams? It’s because if something is made to be so much stronger than everything else (mercenary + boon corrupt + chill damage) it will be all you see just like when all we saw was mesmer, mesmer, mesmer, revenant, scrapper in S1. It won’t be diverse unless you fix the stat availability to allow for diversity. Minstrel was the nomad of spvp and it did nothing to help make the game play fun. I mean why play anything but a druid with all the heals and tankiness while your bristleback does all the damage for you? If there was a nomad amulet or minstrel still remained it would be druid or bust and you’d be qqing about how pets are too OP in pvp. In other words kids, sit down and listen to the grown ups who have lived through a few metas and know what they are talking about.

i use to love fighting the druid when it was a bunker..when and if i killed it i felt like i had done a good job playing in the match..to me pvp isn’t always about winning the match ..most the time it’s about the fight..i can have a good fight and lose the battle and still have fun..and people are always complaining things are to op..they did in gws 1 and they do in all games…

The dude is a joker, the fact he’s using Nomad’s in PVE should have been enough to close this thread already, probably never learned how to play the game in PVE as well, if you need anything else other than zerk/viper in order to survive in PVE you seriously need to l2p.

No one respects how you play because it lead to a few weeks of /sit on point when Minstrels was allowed. Your playstyle is allowed, clerics and menders are over there in the build menu. Deal with it. The health of the game mode is more important than your desire for full bunker stats.

so you are proving me right..attack build players like the game stacked in their favor..and attack my post because they fear losing that one-sided advantage. what you call health of the game mode is " zerkers and condition spikers holding an unfair advantage over other builds"..because they can’t handle a long battle.

You keep acting like there’s this divide between bunkers and everyone else. There isn’t. Your amulets are right there. Clerics and menders. They allow you to support, heal, moderately attack and reasonably bunker. What they don’t allow you to do is ruin PvP for everyone else by /sitting on a point and causing games to end by hitting the timer with final scores of 80 to 40.

having the timer run out is a good match..that means it was an even battle and people had to work for victory.. and there is a divide when attack and condition players get to keep their stats the same and def player lose 1/2 + their life, 1/2+ their def, 1/2 + healing..and lose power..that is a divide..in most games that’s called a handicap.

you seem to misunderstand me..you think i don’t understand..i understand that, just refuse to accept that attack players should hold a 2x advantage over def players..attack players got on the forum here and complained that they couldn’t kill bunker players so anet took the bunker players amulets away mostly leaving a one sided advantage for attack players ..and any time a def player stands up and says we want our bunker amulets back..the attack players get on the forum and try to make fun of us and knock us down, so we give up and they get to keep that one side advantage. by calling us trolls and saying it was to op and wasn’t fun.. just asked for an amulet already programmed into the game to be returned and a horde of attack players jump me..out of fear we may get it back.

virus.4370, the issue is that some classes on bunker specs do to much and Anet dont fix that, they rather remove trinkets to hide on awfull class design is careless about putting aoe spammy pve design classes into pvp field.

well then more people should join me and speak out for bunker players and tanks..why should we be the ones to suffer an injustice..people should call for Anet to fix it..and the more that speaks out for it the more weight it will carry..instead of trolls and attacked based classes laughing about it and saying play another way. they should want it fixed to prove they are truly great at pvp..instead of having the deck stacked in their favor and staying they are good. it’s easy to win when the deck is stacked in your favor..i want to make this an even battle..

These type of amulets were removed because the sustain is not healthy for the point holding game mode. It would cause more balance issues and make certain builds too strong at holding points and supporting allies. Clerics is borderline too strong, even though the only class that uses it is the tempest currently

i disagree, to me it sounds like attack players saying as long as we are winning easy..their is no problem..we like having the deck stacked in our favor..and i have used cleric..and compared to nomad..that’s some weak tea…people complain about bunkers and tanks being hard to kill..that’s the point of being a bunker…i love a good long battle..head to head trying to hold off players while they do all they can to wipe me out..that’s the fun of bunker builds. i use cleric on all kinds of professions..it’s ok..but no match for nomad. cleric is like vegetable beef soup..nomad is like steak with fries..they both share some of the same qualities(beef) ..but aren’t anywhere near each other. and the whole point of cap and hold is to cap and hold..what better way then a bunker..that’s just smart..and if you want to kill a bunker use knockdowns, interrupts, transformations..there are tons of ways condition + interrupt or spike + interrupt.. or transform them into a moa and spike them….they will die..heavy condition + another player spike them ..people just have to use their heads, instead of saying “we can’t kill them”..and if you want to talk OP dragon hunter traps with high attack..they can 1 hit kill a whole team..

There was nothing strategic about minstrel druids.

i’m guessing your a zerker or condition player..i don’t use a druid. plus i have battled them and won..you just need more then one player to kill them aka teamwork…O.O using teamwork in a team based battle..what is this heresy..lol.. and yes that is call strategic placement of troops or arms. so that is strategy.. just a zerkers in a zerg is a blitz rush.

There is no problem with nomads. The problem is that the one sPvP mode (I dont count stronghold as part of the modes) that relies on capturing and holding points. The devs don’t want players just sitting on points., thus no tanky stuff in sPvP.

i understand that, but tanks are a huge part of hack and slash games. to me it’s an injustice to all tanks and bunker players…so we are basically being penalized and punished for not being attack build players. so it is play their way or not at all and thanks for your respectful input. bunkers and tanks rely on strategy not brute force..and strategy should be a part of winning a battle, not just pure brute force..brains over brawn.

You clearly don’t play pvp enough because there are plenty of players playing bunker types of builds. By all means get the biggest power build you want and try to 1v1 with a meta Ele or Druid played by even a decent player and see for yourself. You can spend 30+ seconds trying to get one of these killed. If that is being done on a node they control you are wasting precious seconds on a fight you are basically losing because even if you do win their team got 30+ points and you got 5. Furthermore you <b>are</b> getting the same level of respect because you’re getting the same choices as every other player.

we are not getting the same respect. they removed some of our amulets..imagine if the roles was reversed and as an attack player you have to vs bunker players with half or less of your attack…what would your chances be of winning…in pve i have over 30k+ life and almost 5k def..in pvp i have around 17k life and 2k def…that’s a huge difference ..when you are use to having almost 2x the def and health….and mean while attack players get to keep their stats..they are use to..thats not respect..thats being penalized and handicapped for not playing their way.

Just as i said..play our way or you can’t play..sorry our burst attack builds can’t handle bunkers and can’t kill bunkers fast ..so you can’t play as a bunker basically..that’s a punishment for bunker players..as i just pointed out. so i was right the other players of builds fear the bunker build players. instead of working as a team in pvp..they just want a quick easy spike vs spike match..not a true pvp.

i’m just asking for the same respect i’m giving to attack players..but in the pvp the attack players seem to like respect given to them but few want to give it back..i’m not saying remove attack build amulets..so bunker players would have more of a even battle..i’m just asking for an item that is already in the game to be put into pvp as respect to bunker players…but it seems that spike attack build and condition build players at to afraid they will lose the top spot to players of def tactics.. to me this says that the pvp community lacks respect for the bunker players and fears them. thats way they won’t let us use our playing style..it’s either play by their rule book or not at all, which is a punishment for those who don’t play their way.

i see no reason why we can’t have nomad..all i’ve heard so far is power builds lack the ability to kill them..so that the bunkers fault..that seems more like the attack builds problem..and to me the whole point of pvp it to player vs player..that doesn’t mean attack spike vs attack spike or condition vs attack spike..it’s about teamwork ..and the bunker player should be allowed in that team..and i can say for sure that a 5 vs 1 ..a bunker player would die easy..the problem isn’t the bunker player the problem is the team not working to a common goal…but, it seems easier to punish the bunker players then to work as a team in pvp team matches…it reminds me of the codex pvp in gws 1..people complaining about builds ..so everyone got stuck using the same skills and builds..pvp is about innovation in builds and when you block a whole group like bunkers…it doesn’t help the game it hurts innovation of builds and playing style…

What class you play? If you want to play bunker just pick up cleric amulet and soldier rune on ele, or if you play on ranger pick up mender amulet and dolyak rune. On guardian you can use cleric i think and on warrior cleric or mender both work fine. There are still plenty of options for different bunker builds in regards of amulets and runes.

those maybe good choices..but there is a big difference in good and great..nomad is great and those who have earned it should have it..why should the high power players be the only ones ..whos work pays off. why can’t the def player have the same choice.

i’m not saying pve stuff should..i’m just saying that in pve i use nomad..which i spent alot of time and work earning..just as much as zerkers of not more work and time as they did making my armor..and they get their stats in pvp as a amulet..why should nomad be any different..i’m just asking for a fair shake for the nomad players…where is our amulet..i have friends that use nomad..and we all love it.

since gws 1..and if it that bad pvp people should welcome it..and love it because that means easy points and kills for them..so why not add it and make more people happy..would it hurt..why should the few nomad players be punished.

He’s laughing at you because no one anywhere ever in all of the history of the world has used nomad in PvE except for a few obsolete raid builds. Nomads was created for WvW commanders. Are you suuuuuure you don’t already know that?

i use it in pve,wvw, raid, and would use it in pvp..why change when you are use to it and love it …most lack the vision to see the potential of nomad and lack the will to do the work to ascended nomad armor..

i see nothing funny. imagine if you went to pvp and 1/2+ of your life points was gone, 1/3 your def, 1/2 healing and 1/2 your power was gone..while others got to keep their stats..and Anet calls it a fair fight..that to me seems like an unfair disadvantage..and a punishment.

as a player that uses nomad stats in pve ..why in pvp must i fight with less then half my normal life points and low def..i don’t see the zerkers have to fight with half their attack, and crit.. that seems like a onesided deal..for those who use nomad gear.

i re-logged in to gws 2 and it gave them back..but still thats still messed up. penalizing players for Anets screw up…even if they did give it to players who didn’t have it..i can understand removing the title..but chest and points..should stay, it’s not the players fault… it didn’t give me a chest, gems or title.. but those it did should get to keep the items and anet should just file the added stuff and points under a misc. tag in the system.

they removed title, gems and points. that was ok. but now it is removed twice.

they shouldn’t of penalized you for their mistake. to me it’s like you buying a burger at the drive thru at burger king and you give them a credit card to pay for it..they give you the wrong meal..you pull off and later that month find out they change to price of your meal to match their screw up..for a meal you didn’t order..not cool

The White Mantle did not topple the royal family…they ran like cowards from the charr invasion. Leaving the people of Kryta to die while they saved themselves.

During the Charr invasion after King Jadon fled the throne, Saul and the White Mantle managed to turn the tide of the war against the Charr, sneaking into their camp in the dead of night and assassinating their leaders…

The White Mantle didn’t destroy kryta they saved it. Without the White Mantle there would have been no Kryta left for the Royal family to comeback to, and no one left to rule over. Its people would have been conquered and enslaved..if not all dead.
