Where do you look under in the tp? There is no back armor listing in the armor section. Was hoping to find something new for that back slot. I got the one from the personal story a while ago.

Great post, I love this game too. Thank you for posting this. I’m getting so sick and tied of the whining over little things and people not happy because they can’t get what they want. I hope to see more post like this one. I love mmo’s but it seems like most mmo players are the biggest babies on the planet.
This post is to funny. I see bots of every profession. What you going to do stop playing them as well. Report them and move on.
I kind of have to agree with the op. But i will admit that i haven’t tried pvp yet. Is all the whining about that? In pve I’m not having any problems and having alot of fun playing him. No issues with long or short bows. Probably one of the most fun classes i’ve played in any mmo. So i don’t get all QQ.
What i don’t hear is one of the reasons people buy gold. That is the greed of the player base when they post items on the TP at over 300%. This is what happened in wow. So you guys can sound self righteous all you want, when prices for items start reaching insane price’s people will turn to gold sellers just to be able to play the game. No one ever mentions the greed from players trying to make money trading on the TP. But they are always talking about banning gold buyers. When the greed of players goes up, if arenanet wants to stop the gold buying then they will have to give more gold for gems.
I reached lvl 40 also. But I’m really disappointed in all the culture armor. The only armor that really reflects Asura culture is Zojja’s. Its like someone just slapped together player culture armor without thought. And spend time with making Zojja look better than any player could ever be.
I collect dyes also. I would give a limb to find black dye. I found one on TP going for a bit to much gold for me.

I just don’t think this game is for players that like the raiding. Its a point Arenanet made a long time ago. If you can’t change your old school mmo mind set than this game is not for you. I just don’t get why people hate change so much. The game is meant to be something different and fun to play not a raiding endgame bore fest.
Its got my vote. Best new mmo in years.
Finally a post from someone that likes the game. Its getting really sickening to bother coming to the boards. I agree with you Moiraine. I’ve been playing mmo’s since 2000 and this is one of the best in a long time. And like you I’m in no rush to get to 80. I hope after tomorrow it will get better around here because panda bear comes out and hopefully take a lot of the complainers away. Everytime i login i have a good time playing and it doesn’t feel like a chore. I wish we could see more post like yours.
This is why its good to stay away from forums sometimes. This game has so much to do in it. All you people that are lvl 80 already need to look at your life. Maybe you are bored of these games in general. I got the game the second week of release and I’m only lvl 23 now. If you sit and play all day or night than yeah you will get bored. I can’t even imagine being lvl 80 in a game that hasn’t been out a month yet. You probably need a break from games. I play for an hour or two and not every day because i have other things to do. By the time i reach 80 an expansion will probably come out.
I think its better than most and when mist of Panda bear comes out it will be alot better. All the wow fans will leave to see which one of them can get to lvl 90 first.
Get rid of the constant diminishing returns throughout the game!

i am really afraid of the future of this game , it’s getting harder and harder for casuals to obtain equipment while hardcore gamers that rushed the content already have gold and gear ,
why do i have to be punished for playing Anet? why? having a crazy amount of tokens in order to buy the sets and the low rewards system isn’t enough? why do you keep punishing the players Anet?
This post kinda stood out in the mass circlejerk I see going on around here, but I just wanna chip in my two cents and point out that, via crafting, I’m getting gear just fine with practically no budget that wipes the floor with whatever I find for my next ten levels. I don’t see any kind of “punishment for playing.” Yes, they do need to keep an eye on anti-farming code in level 80 areas and dungeons and fine-tune it, but I don’t see why everyone has to feed into this circlejerk of “INJUSTICE!!” “YES IT IS INJUSTICE!!1!” “OMG ANET IS WORST GAME COMPANY BECAUSE I CAN’T SPEND HOURS AT A TIME SHOOTAN ONE SET OF BAD GUYS”
As far as exotics and legendaries having massive costs, I don’t get the outrage. Personally, when I complete a set of exotics after I’ve been playing for months, I’m gonna be saying kittenright this is a full set of Legendary Exotic Awesome McPants! I worked hard for this!" And until that point? I can EASILY get stat-equivalent gear through crafting and, y’know, playing the rest of the game. You don’t need legendary stuff to enjoy the game, and if you have to farm, set yourself up on a farming rotation and work toward an optimized route.
As far as telling you how to play, ANet does the “go farm somewhere else ya dummy” system because they are proud of the game they made and they want you to explore more of it rather than standing around shooting orr all day.
is it locked to an area that we get DR from or one type of enemy. bearing in mind that fine craftables will of course be something you’ll work towards a specific amount of and may or may not bite the bullet and decide you’ll grind out. Thus you’ll gravitate towards that specific type of enemy for that specific drop and thus trigger the DR. now I a player who doesn’t want to farm but bites the bullet to get it outta the way, have to pace myself because of a mechanic to stop bots? go farm something else til the DR is over? do some dynamic…oh no they get DR too…. or some dungeons…oh wait, they just nerfed the reward and buffered their difficulty to cheese tastic levels….
it’s not catch 22, it’s catch 22 everywhere you turn… these changes were and ARE anti fun.
ArenaNet wants you to play the whole game. They want to do everything they can to counter farms and grinds. And they do this because they want you to enjoy the whole game and work for your high-end rewards.
I thoroughly enjoy Guild Wars 2 exactly the way its drop system is now, with how I play. If all you’re going to do is sit here and circlejerk about the fact that you can’t grind and you actually have to try, then this may not be the game for you, and there are still hundreds of thousands of us who won’t be particularly sad to see you go.
I totally agree with you. In just about every mmo I’ve ever played someone starts one of these lame threads. The game is great the way it is. I hope Arenanet doesn’t start making changes to the game just to make a certain few happy.
I don’t know what happened but all my pets don’t seem to like me. When I’m standing still, they never stand next to me anymore. They move 5 to 10 yards ahead of me. This is a problem in some area’s in the wild because they get attacked by mobs. I hope you can make my pets like me again so the stand by my side please. I really do hope this gets worked on soon.

Those emails you get when you finish those heart quest have money in them. Can’t you put a black background around the money so players see it? I know people who have just deleted them without taking the money.

I have had this in my log for 6 days now. It says i have to meet my krewe in the battle plaza. I went there and nothing is there. How do you complete this quest?
Wow i thought i was the only one with problems with this. I decided to quit the personal story quest also. I like this game to much to only get really frustrated with doing these quest. I refuse to go back to them until they have the difficulty lowered. My last one was the Free Rein quest that’s lvl 16. Whoever wrote this quest has to be laughing at us trying to do it. In this quest you have a boss and his weather machine and minions. The minions respawn 2 seconds after you kill them. Whats the point in this. I died over and over and just quit the game mad as heck the whole night. What really sucks is i have a limited amount of time to play the game period. I wasted 30 or 40 minutes with the dumb quest.
I find that you die a lot if you just stand there. I was having trouble with the story bosses before i learned how to dodge and strafe. So now i do it with every fight and I’m a Ranger. Now i ever take on higher lvl mobs. With melee characters you really have to move around. When mobs get close i switch to my Sword and dagger set. That’s if they get close.
