the gvg area is pretty awesome for duels for mostly lack of npcs and rare chance of getting additions to the duel due it being far south of the south camp.

Again, I admitted I was generalizing too much, based on putting little tidbits of things I’ve observed together. My bad. Regarding your private forums, status updates show up right on the open main site page forums page (in a box on the right side). I have no interest in anyone’s private stuff, but I like to browse around my opponents sites and see what they’re saying about the match sometimes. It adds some fun to my boring days at work. I’m totally not a stalker.

Yeah sorry, I was probably generalizing too much when I said that. It came from non-specific observations and comments I’ve seen around such as “SF staying up late trying to get our late night ppt up!” and “Slight PPT lead at 3:15 AM. Nice work tonight folks.. and yeah i am still up..” Still, none of that necessarily defines a marathon, and doesn’t discount the obvious likelihood that many BG players are playing beyond their norms.

People, in T1 we like to get in contact with the other server, the guild, or some sort of rep to sort out any exploit claims. This is the most direct approach and resolves the issue faster than any other method. People that come to the public forums to make exploit claims(with or without proof) are usually not very involved with the communities on any sever. they do it for attention and drama on these forums. I don’t care if it is a real exploit claim or not, sent it in tells. Truth is every server has someone that is going to exploit, you cannot stop them, anet won’t stop them, the best we can do is try to police ourselves.
Here is an example post that you can copy and paste to use for future reference:
“Hi, can a (insert server name) rep pm me that was on (insert wvw map name) at around (approximate time of instance)? Thanks "
^ I’ve used this many times and sent via pm’s evidence of exploits, cheating, etc.. straight to another gm or commander directly. This is the best way to deal with exploits. The other servers commanders/reps I have worked with in have been very grateful for giving them evidence and leaving drama or slander off the forums.
oh and shout out to the Choo staff mesmer with purple hair on BG BL soloing 2 BG around the wurm at north bay, which turned into you solo-ing 10 BG. You held out well against 10 BG! 3 of us watched you(at a distance) in that 5 min fight. Kudos!

I ask again, what the kitten does “Trusted Member of the community” mean? Is there some kind of forum I don’t know about where we get to vote on whom within the community we trust. Or as I suggested earlier, is this like those chests full of medals tin pot dictators award themselves. Personally, I don’t trust those guys. Or people who award themselves meaningless titles.

From what I’ve seen of the guilds we have on JQ I’d be honestly surprised if people jumped ship simply because of being knocked down. Cats, it happened before and we help together nicely and came back stronger than ever. (Avoided the “kitten” filter!)

we were having a blast tonight on SoS Bl. The highlight of the evening was portal bombing SoS in north camp all as dolyaks/moose/bulls. LOL. Our Stampede made an appearance in garrison but then mean ole’ TW wiped us. We weren’t going to touch anything, just a little stampede, nothing to see here….
I call myself a pug if I am following another guild around. even if I am on TS. Even if the guild I’m following is only 5 people running havoc. I am a pug in their group. Not a negative name lol.
Holiday or not, if a 40k+ lead by monday doesn’t deflate your mood to go into WvWvW then maybe that endless green zerg will.
Pretty sure the forum taunting from select members of SoR guilds made JQ want to prove a point this weekend. Two weeks ago it was “JQ doesn’t show up on weekends” last week it was “JQ gets rolled in NA primetime look we have your garrison”. And then there is this weekend where JQ shut up the forum warriors of the last two weeks.
I think we’ve proven our point, can’t we all just be friends now?

I would like to thank the nameless Jade Quarry or Sea of Sorrows invader that dropped Zap for me this afternoon in the Eternal Battlegrounds. Was pretty surprised to find it when I went to clear my bags at the merchant.
Someone on JQ (from SF, I believe) got a Zap from SoR last week, lol. I’m jealous… I just get spikes
Two SF got zap on the same day last week, and we got one about 2 months ago. That’s 3 zaps from wvw!
Granted he is my own server, I don’t really like people down talking other servers, specially when the claims are bad. We’ve fought tons of open field fights vs JQ guilds like PRX and SF and they always put up a great fight and hold crazy good defenses when we try to siege them.
It’d be nice if people didn’t trash talk, but meh.
I hate it when people do that too, or disrespect guilds. I mean guilds have good days and bad days on the map. But in the end it’s the fun fights, the hard fights that people should remember.
SF had some great clashes with Choo tonight on SoR Bl. Your team is really fun to fight against. Props! Also dat garrison siege o.0

Im not really surprised either, JQ got a lot of SBI players and they were king of exploits.
Ive seen SBI players exploit the game in all its forms.
I dont think it would be a JQ player doing this, just someone from SBI who hopped on the JQ.
lol SBI the king of exploits? I think you are thinking of another server… anyways my stance on exploiting is harsh one, but also a realistic one. We don’t hold entire guilds/gm’s or servers accountable for the actions of one or few people. We work with the other servers to weed out the exploiters. We have communicated in the past to other servers when exploits happen on their server or ours. JQ actually worked with SBI in the past trying to find a small team of exploiters on JQ. SBI had a famous exploiter “Wild Bill” if we saw him on our map we informed the other two servers to watch their towers, as he was notorious for taking towers.
Best thing to do is get a contact or two from the other servers for your playtime, or maybe even from a guild you see often. If an exploit happens, then you have a direct line to someone that can deal with it(like kick them from their guild and send a exploit email with their game tag). I have personally sent dozens of exploit emails to anet with videos, screenshots, etc…

Like I said earlier – the guilds from SBI that went to SoR and didn’t follow you are much better representations of the people who carried SBI to any fortune they had.

Well it kind of sucks that one one will ever be able to dethrone JQ until people get bored and inevitable quit. Some of those guilds that transferred to JQ should have dispersed to SoR, SoS, and BG for much more even match ups. The way this is going we will just have servers fighting for second place like SoS is doing right now. Anyway the weekend match up was awesome and I am looking forward to more of those in the future.
SBI wvw guilds dispersed to JQ, SoR, FA and Kain. And some remained on SBI
7 to JQ, 7 to SoR, 2(or 3 if you count WM) went to Kain, 2 went to FA.
I wouldn’t really be afraid of Kaineng. Warmachine is a terrible guild and anyone from SoS/JQ knows they are no real threat. They couldn’t hold SBI together (or push them over 3rd place) and they certainly aren’t going to take Kaineng past there either.
I wouldn’t talk about something you clearly know nothing about. Or talk about a guild you know nothing about. And for the record SBI got two second place finishes in the SoS/JQ/SBI matchups.
Fun night in EB, [SF] got to fight with the mighty [Choo]! Boy you guys get around fast! Probably the most fun I’ve had in EB ever as we usually stick to borderlands maps.
Literally, JQ could play 0ppt all weekend, and still win first by a wide margin. But hey, what do we know, we have only faced JQ for 11 weeks now, 9 with SBI, then the second and third place servers joined forced, recruited 40 other guilds (aside from SBI), and THEN showed up to the party.
But yea, enjoy that first place. Let me know Friday if you would like to choose from one of the wide selection of excuses on where it all went wrong. We have it all, ranging from Bugs, to Alliances, to a near miss Earth collision by a purple asteroid named Dan.

I was unaware that JQ’s recruitment hit the 50+ guilds mark…lol seems like the number gets higher everytime someone talks about it. Next week it will be at what 80 guilds JQ has recruited???

You think SBI players left their server (of which many of them were fiercely proud of before it was a sinking ship) and joined JQ (the new power server, also in tier 1 where SBI players wanted to be) because JQ met with them are they thought you were all such nice people? They had many weeks of meeting you before their server was knocked out of tier one. They only transferred once they knew they would be stuck where they went to and once they knew the server they chose was the favourite to dominate. They might like your guilds, but if your guilds were on Eredon Terrace in last place and they knew even if they transferred they would remain there, I seriously doubt they would have come over.
Excuse me but you are not from SBI, you are not one of the guilds that transferred from SBI to JQ, so how would you know why we transferred. You don’t.
@ picking JQ because we thought they were going to be/get stacked?. That is the reason SF didn’t go to SoR or SoS. We knew even before talking to JQ leaders that their NA lacked numbers compared to SoS because we fought against them both for so long.
SF and PRX were the first to announce moving to JQ and it happened within hours of each other and neither knew each other were even considering moving to JQ. Correct me if I’m wrong but what guilds transferred to JQ prior to those two that would have lead us to believe JQ was a powerhouse? And don’t say Red Guard, they made it clear they were going back to Euro after some NA T1 playtime. Or if you are referring to the other SBI guilds that transferred to JQ after we did. Most of those guilds are SF’s friends. Most of them we have been wvw-ing with each other since HoD days. We told them we were transferring to JQ and they discussed it with their guilds and some came with us to JQ and some went to other servers.
All of the SBI guilds that left were tired of wvw-ing on a server that didn’t want to wvw. Our 8-10ish wvw guilds could fill out 1.5 borderlands during NA primetime. Most wvw guilds could field about 5-20 people on an almost nightly basis, a couple could field 30+. Most of our forces/guilds where on SBI map, leaving one map completely empty and one map where 1-2 guilds could maybe flip and hold something if a major attack wasn’t going down on our home map. and EB was lead by a few commanders and the majority were pugs not in a voice com. We were maintaining T1 rank like this for many months even before WM left(who would be not active for weeks at a time in wvw prior to their departure from SBI).
Those are facts. Your post is a perception you have of what happened. Why you decide to post this on a public forum where guilds you are talking about read I have no idea. Think we wouldn’t notice?
you guys are aware that with a ghost tonic on you :
A) cannot use siege
B) cannot swap utility skills or elites
C) you can never really fully stealth as the top section of the ghost models hair never actually goes invisible.
also every server/player/guild/team has access to veil, just as they have access to portals.
Might just want to take a step back and think about what you are complaining about.
I don’t know why everyone thinks this was a planned “stack” on JQ. SF was just as surprised to hear that PRX was moving to JQ as I’m sure PRX was surprised at us. SF made our decision to move after a 2 day discussion and vote which ended before we became aware of PRX even scouting JQ.
SBI’s wvw community has been swirling for months now, but it became a breaking point when your entire NA wvw guilds(about 5-7 left) can only field enough players for ONE map. This and many other factors led to our guild feeling the like transfering was becoming a better option.
Why JQ? not BG? SoR? as some have stated. This is a permanent move. We were looking for a wvw community that is strong and lasts through rises and fall in tiers, but primarily plays in T1 because that is where our favorite teams to fight against reside. JQ won our votes by simple facts. JQ had a need for NA teams to join in our time slot. while SoR did not need more NA guilds, they needed Oceanic/SEA/EU. SF has also been playing against JQ guilds longer than either SoS, BG or SoR, so there is a sense of respect and familiarity with their guilds.
P.S. to the ding-dong ditching Mesmer(s) on SoR Garrison – “Git off mah lawn!” Seriously, I don’t appreciate the burning bags of kitten poo you leave on our doorsteps.

Yea Hills was sieged up and was a blast to defend all day. My favorite moment was wiping 6 golems in 5 seconds on the north hills gate.

I dont think we have deals with anyone, at least this didnt pass at all from our forum, so if it happened it was restricted to 2 guilds. Our guild policy is clear, red names must go down.
And its actually funny that you are crying for a situation like that, when right yesterday evening we were attacking a keep owned by SoS and while smashing the door a group of JQ attacked us, and same happened on a tower.
If server A is trying to take an undefended keep from server B, and server C sees that they can take out server A’s forces to take the keep, I don’t see any issue with that. That’s valid tactics. However, I do see an issue with server A setting up siege at a camp at one side and server B setting up siege at the other side and making no attempt to take the camp. The purpose is just to wait and kill any server C’s forces approaching the camp. That is not wvw.
I hope you clearly see the difference.

All the talk of SoS hacking into towers and keeps, well it needs to stop after what happened today…..
Its a great fun fight all over this week but here it is being made bad by a guild from JQ
First of all even after the AoS co-leader asked for more explanation you didn’t give it.
Example: did the player magically teleport through the door or did that player wall jump into the tower?
The NW tower door has a well known bug that can accidentally teleport you through the door when attacking it.
I’m not standing up for that player or anything, in fact I’m on SBI, I just know from experience that JQ works with the other servers when an exploit happens, and obviously do not condone it….
Yes please unban his account. He is the gm of Strike Force and a community leader on SBI. Was probably flagged for giving gold for our newest commander tag, which was taken from our guild bank, which everyone in the guild donates too…which is what guild banks are for….
Also I think making a new mini named Jedbacca is a really good idea. Mini charr with a lightsaber!
