Sorry for your 24 hour coverage. Sorry about breaking all that siege at west keep too. Y’all seem to run deep in the pocket with siege but it’s a shame you keep breaking it :P

Maguuma is a server that doesn’t retreat when we’re outnumbered. Instead of quitting or retreating to other servers because we’re getting outzerged, we cap out our home borderland as far as we can and absolutely murder anyone who tries to break our formation.

Our public mumble community is one of the best atmospheres and most coordinated groups I’ve seen. It’s incredible to watch a leader hop on and run a bunch of organized squads across the whole map in 30 minutes. Similarly, it’s incredible to get a chance to lead a group and watch coordinated groups quickly jump to your commands when needed.

We don’t want to grow by large alliances transferring to us that want to change the face of the server. We want people who want to integrate with our community and turn our WvW to the next level. We want people who don’t give up when outnumbered but instead go “Wow, now it takes them FOUR to 1 before they can take our towers.”

SoS has lost the scoreboard up until now but they haven’t been losing. I work graveyard and I was out each day last week during the SoS zerg. It was 30 SoS autoattacking a door with no ram while the two Mag that were there were manning the catapult and arrow cart left in the castle to try to delay the braindead zerg. Those people have never actually had competition and I can assure you that a lot of the pubbies are going to pick up and leave once those doors start attacking back.

I get the feeling that oceanic SoS has never actually seen competition.

We don’t find dominating with 600+ constantly to be fun either. We’re bored. This week of WvW is a necessary evil until the ELO rankings can kick in.

The guilds that transferred want competition. If we win, we want to earn it by fighting servers just as good as us or better, not winning simply because we have more people throughout the day.

Try transferring a few guilds to DB or Maguuma then if you want to have fun. You’re the ones with numbers; the ball is in your court.

I’m not sure why so many people in this thread are angry, you’ve been imploring oceanics to come to your server and shore up your coverage. Would you be abusing them and saying they were sick of losing and rubbish for swapping to your server?

I never said I cared about an ~Oceanic Presence~, and I’m not from DB. I’m also not angry; I would say I’m pretty annoyed though. Let me explain why:

Each week servers are ranked based off of the skill of the players that played in it the last week. Rankings will be more inaccurate the more players move between the servers because of this. You have chosen to take a large force and shuttle them between servers to effectively ruin the rating system.

Why do you do this? Apparently it involves lots of paragraphs and large words and other justifications that all boil down to what your actions are actually saying — for some reason or another you can’t wait out the rankings a match or two until you’re sorted into your proper tier where the matches are even and fun as hell. As a bonus, you’ve ended up facing the server that you were siphoned from as some kind of case study of how meaningless the glicko rating system is with server transfers available. Unfortunately, my server is now dragged into your mess when all we want is fun even matches that we don’t get because you are too impatient.

Seriously, take a look at the scoreboard and ask yourself why you’re playing WvW this week. Is playing a 3.5:1 spread actually even fun? If you actually wanted to have fun you’d be transferring back to DB to make the match more exciting.
