I just 1v2ed a DEVS thief and a ranger. I thought they were CAL-i stealth players?

Make it transfer a condition from the mesmer to an enemy on offensive bounce, and make it transfer a boon from an enemy to the targeted player on a friendly bounce; double the current damage; reduce cooldown to 25s base; change recast time to 6 seconds.

I would really like to see more guilds branch out in their group comp. 90% of what people run is the exact same and it’s getting kind of old. [DERP] pretty much refuses to follow the standard meta and the more we deviate from it the better our results are starting to get.

yo [Zero] guild, good job jumping me while i was contesting wk. it’s pretty sad that you ran 1v3 prior after your mesmer kept going down to me. you may want to consider uninstalling if it takes 5 people to kill a mesmer.

If WP upgrades were removed and replaced with fortified doors this game would be a lot better. Omnizerging may not actually be the dominant strategy for once whoa wow.

By the way, if the orbs have to be placed in a keep like they used to be there are still routes to bypass walls to west keep and east keep lord. So lol if you think it’s not going to be exploit city all over again!!

Mesmer’s decoy skill can be used to stealth while revealed. It can also be traited to be used at 25% health which provides two possible stealths while revealed.

Hope this clears up your confusion in the midst of these stupid speculative posts.

Are the orbs coming back? No. Are we bringing back the buff? Yes, although the way you get it and hold it is going to be drastically different. Are you going to see a major map change in concert with this? Yes. Is it coming soon? Most definitely.

If this orb replacement gives a stat bonus to the zergiest server, I feel like a lot of guilds will quit.

Here’s the thing to remember, it may buff the better servers for a time, but if it is relatively easy to take from a better server, it isn’t going to cause nearly the same problems that the original buff did. I will say that when this goes back into the game, we’ll continue to monitor the effects and make changes as necessary.

I feel like a lot of guilds and players will quit either way. There are way too many players that enjoy 1v1 to 5v5s and GvGs, and having to deal with the fact that one side will have a 5-15% stat discrepancy over the other is pretty intolerable. It’ll be impossible to schedule fights because we won’t know the status of the buffs before hand.

Please just take a kittening page from DAoC and put something like Darkness Falls in for the server that has the most PPT. That was the best solution; it was figured out a while ago; there’s no reason to keep trying to do something different.

Fighting TC would be the best thing ever. We got tons of open field fights and GvGs from them. Much better than the tower hugging and sad forum posturing we’re getting from JQ.

TC is the new T1. JQ needs to accept this and get ready for it when their SEA decides to pull a Kaineng.

It saddens me to read all of the Maguuma posts indicating an inability to demonstrate the superior pvp skill possessed by all members of the server. This is due to the pesky JQ blobs running around taking over towers and keeps and steamrolling the poor individual player simply trying to gank a player attempting to return to the blob. Here at JQ we know we have a problem with always trying to win, and admitting it is the first step.
But fear not Maguuma players, I have stumbled across some information that will allow you and all of the players currently stuck in WvW and hampered by an inablilty to properly pvp (due to those blobs) to finally showcase your talents. Apparently it is called…..are you ready for this….sPVP. Yes that’s right!!! Finally a place where all of you will be able to go and demonstrate to the GW2 community what true pvp skill is without those annoying blobs getting in the way.
You will be able to 1v1 to your hearts content and even garner titles….WOW, could this get any better you say? Why yes Timmy, for a small shipping and handling fee we will also include tPVP at no extra charge.
So I hope this information will help your server finally obtain the respect it truly deserves in the area of pvp, while the rest of us “WIN BY ALL MEANS” addicts try to cope with our little problem of blob performance in trying to win WVW. Hopefully someday we’ll get that monkey off our backs and realize that WvW is not about taking over keeps, towers or camps , but looking for that 1v1 match and the influence it will have towards the final result.

Which is probably true, as I’ve left my roaming build behind and work on a more 5v5 oriented build. I no longer do as well against people who are only built to fight players one on one. Because I know what game mode I’m playing in, and I am not playing in the “Run around and duel people” game mode.

If he wants to run around thinking he’s the king kitten because he can cheese 1v1 victories out of people, he’s more than welcome to go around doing that.

If I meet him on the field I will fight him gladly, but I’m not being part of some stupid spectacle 20g challenge match.

I’ll take any T2 server over Dragonbrand next week. At least FA and TC aren’t complete garbage and have a roaming population that’s larger than 0 people. The only saving grace DB has is [NS]. Other than that it’s a bunch of terrible zerglings that run when the fight is 5v10 and chase 50v5 for 10 minutes straight.

Why didn’t I ever make mesmer buddies before that had the exact same asura model. Watching [ALS] die to us and hard rez repeatedly while 2v8 was completely gold. Which mesmer is the real one ?? ? You may never know ! ! ! !!!!!

Can we please go to a system of 1 week 0 variance 1 week random matchups on a 2 week rotating schedule? I can handle stupid matches but I can’t handle and endless stream of them. Also, it’s kind of ridiculous how badly I want our predicted matchup (SoS / Ebay / Mag) rather than the crap we’ve been getting.

I want to give some props to [vH] for xferring out of T1. I’ve lost count of how many guilds have bandwagoned up tiers ([RE], [RAM], [awe], etc…), and it’s really nice to see someone actually make a move that levels the servers out.

FA is getting good at those 3:1 open field tactics. I also learned a lot about their glorious NE tower farm tonight. Apparently you’re supposed to charge out in the field and die so you give the opponent an empty tower cap. I’ll have to remember that move it was clutch.

Pickle likes to fight instead of shouting “TRASH MESMER!!!!!!” while losing a 1v2 / making excuses not to duel <3 pickle. I may be game for some fights tonight depends on how work goes.

The sword is a better weapon than the scepter.

This is a really stupid blanket statement. Scepter definitely has a place in condition builds that sword can’t field.

I guess someone had to post this build eventually although I was hoping people wouldn’t. I’ve been running a 20/20/30/0/0 since the patch and imho it’s broken OP. There are a few things you’re doing wrong though:

1) Use duelling III trait — blocks give retaliation. You will proc lots of aegis from prismatic understanding which converts into extremely high retal uptime. You also get it from scepter 2.

2) Use boon duration runes. I’m running 2 Superior Monk 2 Superior Water 2 Superior Lyssa for 20% boon 10% cond. 20% boon duration is around the minimum to keep reliable protection and regen uptime.

3) Your sigils don’t really make sense. You need sigil of energy on staff to make it easier to get staff clones up, they are your main damage dealers outside of scepter 2. I personally use corruption on scepter, doom on torch, and energy on staff.

4) Why are you using portal instead of veil? Veil gives you 2 sets of stealth which lets you leverage PU even more. Veil is also excellent for staking: Veil -> Stomp -> Veil again. If you expect the down person to get AoEd then you can just do phase retreat + blink stomp or distortion stomp instead.

You should shatter to make sure you can get staff clones up. When you use scepter 2 or Torch 5 you put up clones / phantasms that you actually don’t want up. When you’re back on staff and ready to set up more clones you should dump the phantasm 3 for extra damage then shatter so you can get 3 staff clones up. This build is all about clone management and ensuring that you have 3 staff clones up as much as possible.

Probably shouldn’t have had so many recruitment threads these past few months.

Except FA has had no new recruits, just a bunch of fairweathers who’re logging on while Maguuma’s prematurely wallowing in self-pity, apparently.

You would think the “megazergs” running around would prompt DURP/PYRO to post about farming delicious FA bags, but I’ve yet to see either guild in force in game or in these forums.

D$RP hasn’t been out in force because there are no FA or KN guilds worth fighting. All your server does is drop walls of siege and start boring, protracted battles. Your server is still in the “roll over and die” phase of open field tactics and even TC was a much more interesting engagement. We’ll be out soon. Depending on whether we actually meet an interesting challenge we’ll decide whether to do more than one raid this week.

Comparing that to a guild who has apparently been on one server until very recently would be very strange.

The thread did not fail, we did everything we planned and Tarnished Coast was the most attractive.. end of story, Jade Quarry a close second.
