I thought this week’s matchup was a lot of fun. It always starts out tense, but by the end of the week we’re all yaks with kites.

To DR:
Sorry about the loss of some of your guilds. You’ll fill the void back in no time. I’m sure you have a great community of players that have stayed through all the ups and downs. You’ll move on and do even better.

To IOJ:
I thought when you learned to relax, you were a lot more fun. I hope you had fun too, even though you won by a landslide. Good luck with your new match up!

To ET:
Moving up in ranks doesn’t make a great server, the community does. ET is awesome. Keep fighting for each other!

I’d like to apologise on behalf of IoJ to both DR and ET for this thread.

IoJ has gotten a fair few transfers and we’ve been working really hard to pick the server up and after winning the last two weeks against higher rated servers than yours it isn’t fair that we are against you guys.

It makes no sense that some members of our community feel the need too kitten talk, many IoJ dislike this week as much as you because its boring for us as much as you.

To IoJ directly, we should be using this week to refine our roaming skills and practise fighting small teams rather than pretending that PPT will matter.

The continued pointless arguing is actually hurting IoJ guys, it makes our sever seem really chilidish and lame, we could have absorbed some DR this week but instead they went elsewhere so knock it off, ignore the DR haters and empathise with their situation because we’ve been there.

Thanks for adding something to this forum thread that inspires rather than discourages people to play WvW.

ET will forever wallow in the lowest ranks because you guys don’t have it together.

And while you’re attacking me, I have a few friends on ET who has concerned moving to other servers like Gom, IoJ, HoD. They see the same things we’ve pointed out here.

And just liek the last time I was against ET (as a GoM commander) you guys are going to turtle after tonight. There wont be an ET force in WvW. Your morale is already so kittenty that the few fairweathers you have will peel away.

If you REALLY care about WvW, then dump ET and go to a real server. You might personally be worth a kitten but you’re casting pearls before swine.

You don’t know our server.

Due to lack of attendance of previous Fight Clubs, I will not be hosting an event. As much as I do want to host the event, my time use throughout the event has been unintentionally wasted through the lower tier servers.

As a result, certain members including myself will be temporarily transferring to another server to replace entertainment of our own; possibly.

I will be glad for whoever hosts the Fight Club and will hope it will be more entertaining than the previous events I have hosted.

Ahhh hell no, Jade Quarry doesn’t want to face you, Jade Quarry only wants to face the best.

When Jade Quarry faces chump servers like ET and HoD all it does is drop our rating. Jade Quarry is the #1 WvW server right now but due to terrible matchups Jade Quarry cannot be the #1 even though it is the #1.

When you want WvW you come to Jade Quarry, when you want access to CoF (and other PvE related things) you come to Jade Quarry, when you want to PvP you come to Jade Quarry. Jade Quarry #1 server overall NA.

When you want to zerg pointlessly, you go to Jade Quarry. When you want to have the most boring WvW day, you go to Jade Quarry. When you’re feeling lazy and want to have absolutely no skill and just press 1 all day, you go to Jade Quarry.

I feel like I can like HOD now…

You know, to be honest, things have been a little buggy in any WvW ET touches ever since the massive 3-way battle for SM castle last week. I think we broke something.

This happened the other night at Bay in HOD (I think). I’m not sure whats happened but yeah…since that night things like this have happened more often.

I always make a joke that 80% of ET has a commander tag – but no one tags up. We’ve gotten used to it. The players know what to do and do it. The GPS that a commander tag offers is useful for some and a liability for others. My guild likes to ninja things, so we run without tags even though almost every member has one.

As for the other comments about ET improving – Thank you! We have improved! Having a server TS and some leadership has made us all better. Our server gets along with each other, we play and laugh and have a good time. You can tell who is new here because they bring attitude, but over time they mellow. PPT is important to some but you realize that if you want to keep enjoying WvW, especially at the bottom where we are, you have to focus on other things to make it fun.

I’ve enjoyed having new people to face off against and seeing what you all bring to WvW. If you see a princess doll running around with a kite, that’s probably me. I’ll fight you if you want to!

I sometimes get the impression that ET is seriously broken and has issues that are completely incurable at this point outside ANET having a “special transfer weekend” where it opens up 50 free transfers to the bottom server.

Can you expand on this thought? What part do you consider broken on ET?

I was wondering what happened to AR. I played with Ehmry Bay for a few weeks and I felt bad for you all because I heard you were a nice, skilled server but it was obvious you were outmanned by EB. The people I played with on EB had nothing but nice things to say about AR and admired the fact that you still tried. I was looking forward to this matchup because my server, ET, is in a similiar position.

All I’ve seen so far from AR is unsupported boasting, dancing on corpses and people pointing and laughing while we take your last keep. I usually post screen shots of my guild ninja capping the kitteny server’s garrison but I felt bad for AR and didn’t last night, even though we owned your entire map.

So, I’ll post this screenshot instead. It was when I had fun with AR – We were in the middle of EB while battle raged around us and managed to have some lols. Try and lighten up and enjoy yourselves here in the "dregs’ of T8.

Good luck to everyone in your new match ups. As always, it’s been fun to run into our frenemies from SF and Ferg. I hope I don’t have to see you for awhile. I say that with affection!

Hey, blue!!! I got bored on Ehmry Bay with a few other reasons, and decided to leave. Plus I’ve always wanted to start on a t8 server with my guild. So about 20-30 of us are transferring here, maybe more. But we haven’t fought yet xD We just got about 8 of our members over so far, so you might see a few VS tonight at reset, but not enough to kill any zergs with just our group. But looking forward to the reset after this one!

SF is a good server, you picked well. They have some awesome people there. They need more people to bring their levels back up to what they were. I wish you had moved to ET! But whatever, if we’re matched up, I’m so going to hunt you down and kill you. I say that with affection!

I’ve had a lot more fun this match up. I love the 1v1 fights that happen randomly and when ET can field a zerg, its nice seeing what we can do against formidable opponents in HOD and SF. Thanks for the fun times in WvW.

Hello…again..and again..

At this point, the most fun I have on ET in WvW is placing siege in surprising places and the impromptu fight nights. With more people, we can do more, but with the numbers we have, it’s just fun and a lot of laughs. Some tears, but only a little.

You all may take our camps, towers and keeps but…

Oh really…….

Last night was the first time I had gone to fight night where it was announced beforehand. I had a lot of fun. I’m the Engi that got kicked around like a hackey sack that didn’t fight back. I only wanted to watch! Next time though…..maybe =D

Personally, I’ve been having fun in WvW again.

I don’t know what the difference is, other than with some people leaving the server or not playing in WvW anymore the atmosphere has been more civil. You can lose and still have fun with your server working as a team. It’s bad when you lose and your teammates are all crying about how awful sucky you are and you might as well quit now.

We have new people trickle in from PVE and they get to learn how to WvW in a more user friendly environment. Awesome =D

Don’t feel bad for ET. We don’t need that. We need people that know what to do and are mature enough to handle defeat with grace. We need people that can take time to train the noobies and recruit some new blood.

On a side note to ET – Thank you guys for fighting the fight and sticking with WvW. I’m glad you all love it as much as I do.
