Ah I found it, it did indeed turn out to be a GW1 song. Temple of Tolerance.
Listening to the soundtrack and there are some songs (of which I do not know the name of) that aren’t on there.
I figured they could be GW1 songs, anyone got a list of GW1 songs that are also in GW2?
As for the Personal Story cutscenes, those had to be removed. It’s not appropriate for the US market due to how folks in this part of the world communicate. We Americans are dependent on body language and tone of voice to communicate our messages in American English. It’s the reason why we look a person in the face while talking to them. Thanks to the influence of religious groups like the Amish and the Quakers, our language was created with directness, simplicity, and truth in mind. It’s not designed for communicating ideas in a few simple words or characters like Japanese. IMO, the personal story cutscenes were the reason NA players couldn’t understand a complex character like Trahearne. We really needed to see him in the scene talking to our PCs and interacting with the environment.
For me, the current cutscenes communicate the necessary information that I as a player need to know about the storyline. I really like the stuff.
I must respectfully disagree with this. As an American, I’d rather you not speak on my behalf on what I prefer. It’s one thing to list your own personal preference, another to speak for a whole group of people. Not to mention America has a diverse population and people vary greatly from region to region, categorizing all of us into one is unrealistic.

Or they could FIX THIS BUG THAT’S BEEN AROUND SINCE BETA
Added to the wiki now:

Here’s what I say to Arena Net; Keep both. There is a good time and place for the 1 vs 1’s like when talking to Rylock for example. However when showing an overall over arcing cut scene spanning a larger sense of what’s going on, keep the “new” style and the flashy cut scenes as well.
I felt they were already moving towards that direction in the later chapters of the main quest. After “Forging the Pact”, there starts to be a good mix of both.

Well if this bug is known since beta i suggest you to bump this thread for another 2 year. Appearantly they dont know or dont even want to fix it so dont hold your breath.
723 more days to go!
Not sure if this is the right section, apologies in advance if it isn’t.
Sighs I heard Arenanet purposely removed the cut-scene dialogues because it was uninteractive.
It was actually one of the reasons I enjoyed GW2 so much, because it was one of the few MMO’s that gave the player character a true voice. GW2 is actually the only MMORPG I’ve played where I actually pay attention to the storyline and is actually quite immersed in it, and a big part of that were due to the cutscenes.
To me, the cutscenes made it possible for my character to truly interact and converse with the other characters, it feels like he/she is really part of the story, developing real relationships with other characters in the story.
S2 format… In the first few instances I wasn’t even sure if the NPC’s knew me or not, I felt invisible, no longer a part of the story. Just a mindless observer that’s there to make an occasional decision here or there.
I wonder if anyone else shares this feeling ;/ I hope I’m not the only one.
I hope they fix the cleansing water trait. It doesn’t work with Cantrip Regens (Soothing Disruption), Undercurrent (Trident skill) or Rune of Dwaynas.
This bug exists from Beta it also affects Undercurrent (underwater skill) and Mist Form while traited with Soothing Disruption.
THANKS for contributing!!
Gonna go test it out but I won’t be surprised if this is true.
What about all that stuff with healing power not scaling well and not really doing allies any good?
There is a thread in this forum that essentially argues that eles should not bother with healing power at all.
Healing power and healing power runes are very good. I get the feeling that most people who argue against healing power just don’t like healing people. The scaling can be bad on certain heals, but that isn’t the case for most ele heals. Healing not helping allies is just ridiculous. If we’re talking about directly adding allies in a typical support manner or even ccing enemies, healing power is the only option. There is no cc stat and boon duration armor is 1%. There is no reason you can’t cc, apply boons and spec into healing power.
I’m going to say that runes of dwayna are actually very nice. At the very least water and dwayna are equal. The condi removal on water is random; I used to use it. There were times when it would remove long immobilizes almost instantly and save me. There were times when it would activate on a single stack of vulnerability. Dwayna’s regen on hit is pretty much always going to be as useful as it could possibly be. If you have 700 healing power, you’re looking at about 3500 hp from 16 seconds of regen. The aoe heal from water is weaker than dwayna. Water has boon duration in its favor though. Out of the 3 runes, Dwayna has the best balance of reliability, personal sustain, and aoe healing.
I’d definitely use Rune of Dwayna if they fixed the bug of it not working with the Cleansing Water trait.

All clubbed to death, skinned and worked into backpacks. Buy yours now from the gem store.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Baby_Quaggan_Backpack_CoverDon’t listen to this tall tale. No Quaggan’s were harmed in the making of our cute Quaggan Backpacks. All synthetic materials made in The Grove.
What really happened was the Quaggan’s built temples to their god, Mellaggan. And Quaggan luck being what it is, shortly after they finished there was a massive earthquake that turned the temples to ruin. And drained the lake and raised up the land to its current state.
All the Quaggan’s relocated to Frostgorge Sound and other locales.
Cooo!! Do you have a source for this information?
They used to be in the center lake that’s now taken over by temple ruins.
Have they been removed or just placed elsewhere?
Cleansing Water: Remove a condition when granting Regeneration to yourself or an ally.
Currently does not work with:
- Undercurrent (Trident Skill)
- Mist Form (Soothing Disruption)
- Rune of Dwayna
- Healing Seed (Sylvari racial)
Some say that because some descriptions say nearby allies “Gain” regeneration rather than “Grant” them regeneration, the trait doesn’t apply.
However, Elemental Attunement in the Arcana tree also says “Gain” regeneration when attuning to water, and that regeneration removes conditions just fine (And yes, this is with the Cleansing Wave trait turned off).
Please do fix this. This has been mentioned many times already.

I use altruism for the might+fury :P Where water gives the aoe heal on your heal, altruism gives the fire traited blasted fire field (kinda)
Though my build is weird so whatevs
Altruism is great! It’s just hard to compare them with the 3 runes above that are more heal focused.
At least for dungeons it’s probably superior with all the hype on might stacking.
For Elementalists
Superior Rune of Dwayna (x6):
+30% Regeneration Duration
25% chance when struck to gain Regeneration for 10 seconds. (Cooldown: 45)
Casting a Heal Skill (eg. #6 key), you and nearby allies gain 5 seconds of regeneration.
With the innate 30%, and the 30% from Arcana, the regen becomes 8 seconds.
At 1428 Healing Power, that’s 2468 Regeneration. Healing 308.5 per second.
Regeneration from this rune does not work with the Cleansing Water Trait
Regeneration boon doesn’t scale with Aquatic Benevolence
Superior Rune of Water (x6):
+20% Boon Duration
25% chance when struck to remove a condition. (Cooldown: 30s)
Casting a heal skill heals you and nearby players 690 + (0.5 * Healing Power).
At 1428 Healing power, you heal an additional 1404 immediately to both yourself and allies upon using your Heal spell.
Compared to Dwayna, you’re losing out on 10% regeneration duration, for 20% longer duration on all other boons.
Superior Rune of Monk (x6)
+15% Boon Duration
25% chance when struck to heal for a small amount. (Cooldown: 15s)
+10% Out-going heal to your allies only.
Elementalists major healing spells are Geyser, Healing Ripple (Trait), and Cleansing Wave (Evasive Arcana).
Healing Rain doesn’t count because it’s Regeneration
At 1428 Healing Power, you’re healing 898 more after activating all 3 of these heals, and only to allies.
Passive on-struck effect only heals for 645 and does NOT scale with healing power.
Conclusion:
Superior Rune of Water is actually the best out of the three. Not only does it give longer boon duration than the two others, it adds an AoE heal to your 6 key.
Superior Rune of Monk is actually a bit overrated.
Superior Rune of Dwayna, pity this thing doesn’t work with the Cleansing Water Trait. Still gonna keep my set if they ever decide to change it.
Post your feedback below! If I messed up on some math let me know. Thanks!

Healing Rain’s AoE boarder visuals does not increase with the Blasting Staff trait, unlike other AoE skills.

This is a visual error because I still receive the regeneration.
I kind of want Arcane Brilliance as an extra blast finisher for my water fields, which will in turn heal my allies.
I’m hearing mixed reviews about Antitoxin spray. It only heals your allies if it removes those specific conditions right? Just how often does that happen?
Thanks a bunch guys. Yeah I don’t think they wear gloves, the closest boots are probably Ascalon boots.

Is this available to players or NPC only?
I searched up and someone said it was available in Timberline Falls, but that information was false (It’s Stately).
