If you devs don’t like us spamming AOE in dungeons then why you set so many situations need AOE….Seriously what do you expect us to do when facing crowd of mobs, fast-mob-spamming burrows or the other things….
From the search results, this seems to be a bug which only occured on beserker/rampage Draconic coat….But this bug exists for months….
Pretty sure it’s a crafted one since i just made it with the same character…
The problem is when i put the Exotic coat into the Mystic Forge, the coins/wine/crystal all became grey… But when i put a rare coat (also made by myself) in the Forge it seems all fine…
According to wiki, it says 20 Crystal Shards – 5 Bottles of Elonian Wine – 50 Mystic Coins – 1 Beserker’s Exalted Coat (Exotic) can create the Armor Box Recipe.
I replaced the Beserker’s Exalted Coat (Exotic) with Beserker’s Draconic Coat (Exotic), but it didn’t work. Anyone knows how much crystal/wine/coins i need to create that recipe?
I’m using Yojack’s build now. Actually I found the most attractive part of this build is its flexibility. You can simply change some major traits to meet difference situation or play style. I didn’t play sPvP, but I use this build in solo, DE, WvW and Dungeons.
Most time i’m carrying sword/axe/warhorn in my backpack for my offhand. Using sword can easily stack 20+ bleeding and on enemy when i was alone. Axe can provide a good AOE to face crowd during the DE. Warhorn is mainly for dungeons and WvW imo. When you are not using Warhorn just change IX to VIII in tactics.
Also I’m considering to collect a set of Zerk gear, change some major traits and use axe for main hand, then this build can also be a direct damage based build.

Actually i’m only for the Guild Bank…..
in my opinion…if Waypoint cost is remove then people would want to help each other more…and promote people to come back and check out mid or low lvl area [because it doesnt cost them anything]
ive yet to find a guild with people that would want to help anyone because Waypoint cost too much and the reward is not worth it
asking people in map chat to help you fight Champion/Groupevent… youll pretty much get no reply….if you do get people to help you…you’ll have to wait 5 mins or so for someone to walk to you…but then 2 people isnt enough to fight Group Event…is very discouraging to waste your time helping people knowing that most likely the event will failed cuz not enough people show up
i hope it make sense
Agreed, and I must add: Anet is already forcing people run, everyone knows if there is a event on, the way point will become contest thus not usable.
So I think set the fee to zero for within the same zone should be reasonable.
GW2 offers a lot of solo-able content. Even Cursed Shore can be done “solo”. The quotes are there because you will probably run into a few players that do the same skill quest or event, making you play together. I have seen someone doing Cursed Shore solo. That person is now my “guide” when it comes to Orr areas.
What changes since the last update was that there was one group activity (fractals) more than before. That doesn’t make any of the soloable content less soloable.
As for Arah story. You go slay an Elder Dragon. Recall ypu last encounters with dragons… There was one on Claw Island where you and an ENTIRE ARMY of NPCs fougth. Not sure if you did the Champs that spawn all 3 hours. But there is always an ENTIRE ARMY of players there. The Dragons are like the ultimate enemy. Beeing able to slay Zhaitan solo would just not fit. Especially not in a world that’s filled to the brimm with heroes.
If you can do the story solo and explore the map solo and do dungeons solo and do everything else solo, why bother even adding a party feature? heck, why bother making it an MMO?
For personal story, i must say i fight through the whole line with the NPCs and the pact army, i really enjoy it. I’m not against the group content, group with NPCs is still group for me. I just don’t want do my Personal Story Line with other Person. Especially the others may argued the whole way to the elder dragon, they may accuse each other doing wrong all the time, they may try a couple of times and failed and someone got angry then leave the others. I really don’t want these in my personal story.
For the other part I think Mordecai has explained everything pretty well.
This is why I asked instead, what ANet considers typical gameplay is that avoids DR.
Same wondering here. And to be honest, do Anet really believe players won’t go farming for their need of mats which Anet itself put in the game(Legendary and Ascended)?
As a most solo player, I also don’t like the last personal story force you to group. But I think the other group-need contents are fine.
For group event and WvW you can just join people but no need to directly team with them.
For dungeons i just ignore them for now.
For Lost Shores I think this map is incomplete, so just give Anet more time to finish it.
Re-spawn time is a problem. After you develop or find a combat tactic suit yourself and some good gear, you will be fine.
But still, I really miss GW1, i can get a full team of my own to enjoy the game.

Actually I wish we can buy kits with 250 use by karma…
Dr is stupid. Oh you need bloods for crafting well you have spent to much time killing the mobs that drop them why don’t you go and grind for something you don’t want for an hour or so then you can cone back and try foe the bloods again.
They created a system to artificially extend a grind in a game with “no grinding” (lol) worst idea ever.
Same concern here. The most key point is we have no idea about HOW Anet define “normal player”.
Some people may like to play around, do sth here do sth there. But there are also players focus on one task at one moment. For example if I need 50 blood for crafting, I surely will find a place and farm several hours in a row until i get enough blood. I’d like to say it’s 100% normal player behavior but all the information tell me this will trigger DR system or worse, i got banned as bot.
I think the most attracted part in GW2 is everyone can play in his own way. We don’t label some stupid “role” to players and no need to force them to do the “right thing”. Unless the dungeon is totally impossible for 5 MF-gear players, I think wearing MF gear to a dungeon should be OK.
I remember when this game was designed for everyone evenly, these days i don’t feel that way at all.
Everything feels like a grind in game now, even a simple thing as leveling up feels harder now than it did.
My latest Alt is always 2 levels behind when completing a map, a few months ago i was exactly at the req level, have they lowered the exp amounts? i do many many events in game and still i’m behind the req level, so much grind..If its not exp its gold or mats or whatever else Anet wants to limit us with, yes i play many hours but i still consider myself a casual player.
I don’t ever think i’ll get a Legendary weapon and even if i did i’d just sell it for the 350 gold it makes me, as i can buy so much more needed items than 1 silly weapon to boost my ego..
Totally agree with this. The more i played, the more need of grind i found. Some people say you casual player should achieve things longer then the others.True and agree. But the fact is, i can’t see i’m close to my aim, it’s even more far away from me than before. It’s like i can never achieve anything. What’s the point to play.
Well written, OP. I’m totally agree with you. But sadly vertical progression is a simple, cheap solution to make players keep playing a MMO.
For me, I’m not totally against vertical progression but I really wish Anet can handle it much better in the future. If the new Ascended gear can be achieved from many different ways(karma vendor, carfting, world drop or chest after a DE chain) not just grind to one dungeon, i think there will be much less complains now.
As a casual player I don’t mind if i need much more days to get high-end gears. But I really wish Anet could expand the methods to get gears. I’m talking about some stats combination can only be achieved from one sepecific way(i.e. dungeons) now. If Anet can make these prefix craftable or from world loot that will be great.
Won’t be good. Bot can bring more materials but they will bring even more gold into market, eventually everything’s price will go up.
Agree with th OP. I can understand why a stack limit was set for condi damage. Which i don’t understand is why burning/posion working different from bleeding. As a sword/sword bleeding warrior, i can easily build 20 stacks of bleeding only by myself. It’s fine when i solo but it’s really limit the damage output for a team with two or more bleed build classes.
The most fun part of GW1&2 for me is i can play my style for most situation. I wish Anet put some thoughts for us bleeding build players
Feel the same after the Nov. patch. The drop rate decreased a lot so i need to farm more time to get stuff i need (most are crafting Materials) and this makes me feel boring. Sometimes i just log on the game kill a dragon then log off.
In my personal opinion, maybe the devs want us to just buy the gem card, trade them into gold and shop anything you need from TP.
Normally high level players will go there for dungeons. After the new dungeon and new area came out… well, even dragons got no people to visit…
