So I’m trying to make Howler and part of my collection achievement includes getting into this Oola lab. Except, it’s ALWAYS locked and I need an energy crystal to open it. According to the wiki, energy crystals are soulbound items and they drop randomly from any mob in Metrica province. I’ve killed countless mobs and still no crystal. It really feels like a waste of time… Anyone know if the crystal drop rate is bugged or something?

I waited 3 years and when I actually heard there will be role for healers and tanks in the raids I lost some tears of joy, that I can use my Guardian for the role it is designed for.

Can Guardian be DPS, sure but it was never the best DPS, it was not designed to be one.

It was designed for support, healing and tanking, now look where are we now. In a discussion of tanking/healing for raids, nobody even mentions the name of a guardian and forget about DPS at all, we need Revenants, we need Tempest, we need Chronomancers, we need Druids, we need PS Warriors….

Still nobody needs Guardians, men….

Guardian works incredibly well on vale guard and sabetha. Could run it on Gorseval too but probably nor your best option. As for ventari, I’ve had really good results. The heals are plenty enough and with sword/shield you gets some serious dps and an extra heal. That being said, Druid dmg buffs are too good to ignore.

Howler III: Kneeling in front of bear statue in Dredgehaunt isn’t spawning the bear. I tried the bear shrine in Lornar’s as well. Nothing.

EDIT: Also, eating a strawberry ghost does nothing…

Geyser is not 240 radius atm. It’s like 180 or something. Pls fix thanx.

Warrior’s sprint doesn’t work with Bull’s charge even tho “remove immobile” appears on the tooltip.

When I trait for spiteful talisman, the damage tooltip for extra boons disappears from spinal shivers. All that remains is the “no boons” damage. Is it just a tooltip issue or is it affecting spinal shivers’ damage?

Were those meteors all from the same person? I’m assuming those were mag’s eles, they don’t all run the same build especially since some are just pugs copying the ones from the actual guild groups. Some of them fight and live in full glass, others melt while wearing ptv.

(also 4k on squish thief probably wasn’t a tornado :P)

Exactly my point. 4k on the thief seems way too low when you look at the other numbers on tankier players. It could be Eles with different gear, but then why haven’t I noticed MS like that before the patch last week? I have fought a LOT of servers and guilds that used MS on me several times over including Mag. Never seen this much inconsistency. Idk, could just be the new radius improvement. I’m just askin questions.

It’s only good because of what it fixes. Fresh Air would be unnecessary if attunement recharge was set to that of regular weapon swapping.

That would be so broken. Classes with “regular weapon swapping” don’t have access to 4 weapon sets.

Is Meteor Shower working as intended?

Here’s why I’m asking this: It seems that the damage it deals is inconsistent with the enemies’ armor. Last night while in WvW with my guild, we were all sharing the damage we were taking from MS.

I took 3.5-4.5k dmg from each meteor at 2.8k armor.
Thief with 2k armor took about 3.5-4k consistently.
Guardian with 3.3k armor consistently 4k+, even got hit by a 5.2k.

Shouldn’t that thief be getting hit for 7k+ if the 4k+ on a full tank guardian is working as intended? It almost seems like MS is armor-ignoring now or something.

No vulnerability stacks involved btw.

Yes, I’m aware of the Tornado combo. My point still stands. I highly doubt every single meteor we got hit by was combo’d with Tornado. (Cheesiest combo in the game award goes right here btw)

When we can tank 3 superior arrow carts and get melted by 1 meteor shower, you know something’s wrong. Plus with the new improved radius for each meteor it’s quite possible to get hit by 2-3 in a row. So that would be 15k on a 3k+ armor Guardian.

This isn’t an “OMG NERF MS” post. I could be wrong and MS is working fine. If it’s working as intended I’ll just man up and deal with it. But it’s not only that the damage is high. I understand that it’s a channeling skill that doesn’t allow you to move and it’s supposed to be devastating. All I’m saying is that the damage seems odd and inconsistent. I hope Anet can shed some light on this.

Although unofficially we do know the top three NA guilds and currently they are Agg NS and most likely TW (despite being in hibernation).

Keep an eye out for [qT]. Those guys are beast. New to the GvG scene, but tons of roaming w/o tag experience. They’re the toughest crew I’ve ever faced personally with the exception of NS. Also, [RISE] is starting to pile up their victims.

I was one of the grunts in the GH group in Bay. We really enjoyed the open-field fighting. You guys are good at what you do, and ran us ragged a bit before we got our stuff together and started getting some of you down. We used to gripe all the time about no one bringing the fights and you guys do. Props for bringing the fights instead of PvD (when you easily could have done it).

It hurts, but it’s more fun then doing cartwheels on a tower wall!

Glad to have opponents who speak our language! We left T1 looking for people like you. Sadly, PvD, 100v100 fights, and siege, is all you see up there.

I’m actually very impressed with SoS. They’re doing so well against two beast servers that they’re actually gaining tons of rating. TC and FA are actually losing rating, which means SoS wasn’t expected to do this well at all.

1) badges are kitten easy to get on high tiers, this is so you can buy lots of siege.
2) waaaay too many people are stuffed senseless with badges and are too selfish too buy lots of siege and want rewards for themselves, aka ascended items.

Hi. Kinda new to necro. I have some questions about DS and how life force works.

1)How much hp do I have while in DS? In other words, how much dmg can DS absorb?

2) I’ve heard life force pool increases with vitality? Any truth to that?

3) Is toughness factored when taking dmg in DS?

kudos to OP. I like this idea. But maybe keep the commander tag for pugs as suggested above, and use warband for organized smaller groups.

If you play WvW with an sPvP mindset / playstyle, you’re going to die. A lot. This ain’t the place for your precious rotations.

If you play WvW without a guild, you have no idea what you’re talking about in terms of “No skill required”. When 20 people wipe 80, they’re doing something right.

The game is called Guildwars. Hint hint.
