Signet of Why-do-people-think-they-know-how-everyone-should-play.
thank you sir.
Why does it bother you, OP? Let people play the way they want to play.
My favorite of the light cultural armor for the norn has to be the first one. It’s a perfect balance and looks great on my necro in black and purple and red (male). The other two…I hate the fact that the leg armor reminds me of a more…garish version of a low-class Victorian skirt with an opening in the middle. It’s just gaudy…
I forgot where it was mentioned but Anet did say that there is a full expansion staff that is separate from the living story one — so we will be seeing an expansion eventually. The game has been out for what, a year and a half?
WoW take a good almost 2 years on each of their expansions but man, waiting for new content every 3 or whatever-so months was a pain. And there was no incentive to stay in the game except for the fact that “I better get my gear for the next patch”.
Isn’t the representative of the Priory for the Pact a Norn — and Priory members are researchers and historians and other “brainy” people? And Warmaster Effut, an Asura — who for some reason has a hard time understanding scientific stuff — I forget the instances but she’s like "You take care of your thingymajig and we will provide the muscle?
You have crafty and sneaky Tybalt. Although there are stereotypes, there are also those who stand out. Taimi is one that people have mentioned. Look at Roxy. Instead of being ruthless like most Charr are, she is motherly — caring, doting on Braham, especially after he was injured.
There are a good amount of non-stereotypical characters out there.
I would like to see a different way to acquire precursors instead of gambling your money, or gambling your time. Some sort of lengthy, challenging, story-line or questing or whatever. Even if I have to draw quaggans, I just want some other way to get a precursor!!!
I would like to have spears…One handed, or two handed.
I like the spears underwater with the auto-attack as a semi-ranged throwing (I would prefer non-throwing spears) and 2 and 3 being a rapid attack and a blinding attack. Bring that to land and it will fit fine, imo.
Bring that to land!!!! :/
I cannot agree with bows though — they just don’t fit the Guardian paradigm. And we already have scepters and staffs for decent ranged damage.
Off-hand sword would be good too. Somewhat like Mesmers or Warrior off-hand swords.
Arus Ironveil of the Veil Warband, Iron Legion Alchemic…Engineer? (I like to RP that his expertise is more on the alchemic aspects of engineering rather than the steel-iron-metal grit of most Iron Legion engineers) my one and only — yet most beloved — Charr.
7/10. I like the last name a lot. Only gave a 7 because Sylvari tend not to have last names…
Mine’s Sephareal…tried to go with something Celtic or Welsh sounding since apparently Sylvari have usually these types of names.
I really hope we get to meet the other Pale Tree. Malyck, the sylvari who is not of the Pale Tree of the Grove — the one we all know of — comments at the end of the player’s encounters with him (assuming you picked that path) that he wants to head back west, to Magus Falls, where his people live, and ask them to aid Tyria in fighting the elder dragons.
I feel like they will make an appearance seeing as that is were Mordremoth is chilling — in the area and Malyck now knows of the struggle Tyria has against the Elder Dragons.
I know that our personal story has lot of ties to our race, but WoW’s (sorry for comparing it to WoW) race changes allowed for having direct equivalents of certain things such as mounts and what not, and even allowed for transfer of those into say, the opposing faction and equivalents thereof. Achievements that were say, Horde specific, were transferred to equivalent ones in the Alliance.
I bring this up because I really want to change the race of my human guardian, my main. I do not want to have to start from scratch again just to get say, a sylvari guardian. I picked human by default because I was just playing around and ended up playing the game to the point that he’s 80 (I started playing in December).
Are there any future possibility, through the gemstore of course, to change races? I would pay for a service like that.
I’m pretty content with the changes…i just have one gripe.
May we please use the name of the skin rather than the original item? It’s annoying to see Berserker’s Draconic armor when it’s actually Phalanx or whatever else. It’s just bothersome….
As an Asian myself, I was sad when I noticed there was no Canthan-related face that actually looked good.
I would SO USE REAL MONEY to buy faces like those. Pleasseeeee
