I recently bought 18 keys and to try for the new Elemental Sword, and in the process, I got a Self-Style Hair Kit. No sword. I get RNG is a thing and it’s not guaranteed and all that, but the Self-Style Hair Kit and the Elemental Sword fit on the same tier when it comes to Common, Uncommon, and Rare. Both of them are Uncommon.

Now I have the Permanent Self-Style Hair Kit and was wondering if it’s even possible or ok, to contact Anet about exchanging the Self-Style Hair Kit I got from the chest for the Elemental Sword since they are on the same Tier in Black Lion Chests. Or am I just out of luck and should just destroy the Self-Style Hair Kit?

Either way, I was just curious if this was ever asked or attempted before.

All of this! I stood side by side a Dreamer and just cried at how big the difference was between the two. If you didn’t know what Chuka was you probably wouldn’t even notice it. And for all the work and beautiful story behind the legendary it deserves to be seen and noticed!!! please ;w;

Ok thank you! I was like not fair but this this makes sense. I was just looking at the Wiki for them all and only Chuka and Champawat had writing that said it was a one and done deal the rest didn’t have the warning so it was like wait what? But thank you <3

Was talking with a guildy of mine and another person in another guild they are in crafted two HOPEs and at first I was like that’s cool congrats to them, but then I got to thinking about it. My Legendary Chuka and Champawat can’t be crafted twice cause the precursor is locked to being able to craft only one per account. I looked into the other Legendaries and I found out that none of the other new or old Legendaries has this block. How come Chuka and Champawat can only be made twice thus blocking the Twice Told Legend achievement from being done with that particular Legendary? What makes a tiger shortbow special over the new Eureka mace, Nevermore, HOPE, Astralaria, or any of the old Legendaries? Help make sense

Looks like they did fix the footfall trail a bit with Shashoodoo. -la sigh- If only tiger claw marks would last a few seconds more now a pony and a quaggan are more noticeable then a tiger T_T

Lol true as that is, they aren’t stealthy all the time I would just like to be on par with the Dreamer. On the Dreamer you can see the horses better and the footsteps are longer than Chuka and Champawat.

It seems to be a trend with most of the HoT legendaries, I have the same issue with Chuka and Champawat. The claws are less and disappear after maybe two to three seconds. When compared to its Dreamer counterpart its… slightly upsetting. I’d love to stand on equal ground with my equine cousin.. instead of being the more subtle of the two.. I mean shouldn’t the tiger be loud and fierce over a horse?

Happening for me too I was just in Kessex Hills and was moving to Ember Bay on my mesmer but was kicked out and now can’t get back in same error popping up.

As well as the events “Rescue the villagers and defeat harpy kidnappers” and “Escort the quaggan emissary to the kodan camp” are currently bugged. Their is a villager in the top left corner that refuses to leave the nest hindering progress, and the quaggan gets stuck and stays in a rock. Can these get fixed please and thank you <3

I’d just be happy to use my endless cat tonic and be able to gather with my endless tools without the gathering item being ruined. I bought the endless tools to avoid that and held onto my laurels just to be a cat. If I could do it before as a cat with no issue why do I have the issue now? I keep gathering ruined chunks of ore, plant, and log cause I forget as a cat it ruins it but as a human it’s perfectly fine

Update on the Electric Wyvern: It’s ideal to have near completed gliding in order to get to it. I kept running out of endurance before reaching the needed ledge for the hero point let alone to get the dragon pet

My friend and I just did this ourselves. We had the same story so we just took turns going back and forth seeing either my vigil warmaster or her priory magister. I ended up finishing the level story and when she progressed it she had the same ending I do. It didn’t do this on the other stories kept our orders separate, why did it do it now?

EDIT: We figured it out. Cause the story titles are the same despite what order we had we kept our separate orders but since the ending would separate the orders again when she accepted my progress she got Vigil stories now, instead of Priory. Oh well, now we know lol

My ranger joined the vigil and I wanted to put her in the armor (via transmutation charges) and I was so happy with it till I noticed a gross clipping graphic issue on only one side of the armor. A few strands of the metal are bent in this bizarre way and clip into her leg when she runs or is in a offensive stance. When just standing there it keeps the bizarre shape and is rather unappealing to the eye.

Just a little funny, I enter in to Rata Sum to complete the map, and after finishing the top tier of it the map completion thing says Point of Interest 8/8. Now I know there are way more points of interest than 8 so I continue to do the map but each new point of interest I get says 8/8, 8/8, 8/8. I purposely miss the last poi I need to go for my last waypoint. Upon getting the last waypoint I get the map completion chest without needing that last point of interest. I went ahead and got the last point of interest afterward and here is a screen shot of the map after the map completion showing it does say 8/8 points of interest instead of the usual like 23. I’m guessing the asura just forgot how to count past 8 and this was their solution haha

That’s not accurate as some people did not get into any beta for HoT and still have a chest or two. Best not to assume things when you are not sure

Touche, though I figure it was tied to the item itself so if it landed on another player then the in-game mail would send instantly like it does with loot drops. But you got a good point there ah well could dream lol

I agree with that completely… which brings me to ask you… what does that have to do with the asked question above? Clearly the one who posted this thread HAS his portal AND an extra one. So he did put the time in to get it and so forth. The rest of these comments are on that and on the idea of players with extra portals to give them away somehow. Nothing to do with complaining about the time spent to get the portal or a whining to Anet to hand it over. So I’m a bit confused on why you would post something like that here where it isn’t warranted instead of on another thread that would better have use of it

I get that but then if they are selling it for gold then its not really a gift lol but there will always be something, at least this gives others a chance from other players without the player with multiple portals being stuck with them and feeling guilty of getting more then their friend who has been trying for it ya know?

Actually I was thinking about this very thing and selling it would be simple. It wouldn’t show up to sell and could only be gifted once. For example you get an extra portal, you know a friend that wants it. You gift it to them and instantly that portal becomes Account Bound, or frozen. If you had no friend to give it to then it acts as it does now, only sell-able to the merchant. No TP availability at all for the portal

I too miss how the Personal Story used to go, and I really miss the Fear story arc as it REALLY gave my character more to his story.

Sad to see what I loved most about the Personal Story was taken away, but as they say: “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” Enough people were complaining and in doing so, they get their wishes made. The downside to giving them what they want, is they upset the majority.

Is there any reason these are happening? I was able to play just fine earlier in the day but now my skills are all laggy or not working at all and then when i try to log in its really slow. I even got a message pop up to tell me there was an error and to check my router or could be because of a campus thing, can’t remember word for word, what’s going on?

I logged on today and found out that when I wanted to dye my Whispers armor the boxes for the dye had changed.

For example on the coat/chest piece there used to be 4 squares for dying, but now there are 3 and I am stuck with a red color I don’t want on the armor. I want it to be a purple and not a red. So my question is were the armors changed with the new aetherblade updates and armor skins or is this just a bug or something? The boots are also affected as I want the blades on the boots to be silver and not red.

Is anyone else getting this problem?
