1. Ranger – there are better ranger players than I who can explain the amalgemation of problems that exist with this class. That said, in PVP, certain builds are freakin monsters. That said, that means one build with a couple variations.
2. Necromancer – Dhuumfire needs to be moved to Curses grandmaster, and a power-relevant trait created for the spite line. Moving Dhuumfire to the curses line will open up build diversity, and cut down on the 30% increase in condition duration that compounded the initial dhuumfire problems. There are just numerous traits that are useless, underpowered, and lack synergy. In fact, even the best traits we have lack synergy. I am fine with the lack of mobility, that said, if we are the slow face tanker; however, the necromancer needs an ability to mitigate being ping ponged around (BRING BACK SHADE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS UNHOLY). Deathshroud utility lock out, coupled with the fact that we cannot heal in DS diminishes the utility of the class. Class is utterly irrelevant in PVE (not wvw)
3. Engineer – slap happy 1-2 build machine. needs help. not my fav class, but like having one around.
Honorable mention: Few tweaks and they are golden
- Mesmer – has significant bugs, but still has its place in PVE, PVP, and WVW, and thus remains a viable class in all domains of the game (in fact good Mesmers are freakin amazing to watch).
Ele – I think with minor tweaks ELE will be a dominating class. It is highly mobile, with great damage and survivability at level 80. That said, I think it could use a few more viable builds. In WVW, a good Ele is needed in large group combat, and I have seen great eles take on 4-5 people in wvw (similar to a mesmer) and get out unscathed. That said, I think some minor changes are warranted, including returning some of its original survivability and this class will regain strength.
Seriously, if you can’t make three different selections, I think your post is useless. Choose 3 classes and rank them. Putting 3 of the same class, or just one, is lazy.

~ Useless or broken secondary mechanics (pets, minions, turrets)
~ They fall short of the niches they are designed to fulfill.
~ Players can find another profession that accomplishes the same thing but better and with less headaches.
IMO this is not something to be fixed by nerfing the other classes (most easy and likely “fix”) or by buffing the weakest. The biggest problem (especially with rangers) are core profession mechanics (pets, condition damage, & kits) that just don’t work well and essentially need an overhaul or redesign to make other players find a true use for them other than novelty.
Kind of getting back to that broken combat system that everyone seems to bring up.
I know we need to keep it to three, but since I support the other professions’ issues (attunements, stealth, clones) and a lack of people saying anything about guardian, please, please,please do not nerf the guardian just to level the playing field.

I dont know why so much people say Mesmer needs changes. They have Condition dmg, they can be played with Berzerker, they can do the support role, they have good survivability, They have the time warp and portal for unique support in WvW and it is always good to have a mesmer in your dungeon party. So why should we change something? (my main character is mesmer)

it’s kinda hard to judge which profession needs fixing so i give this list based on pvp first and wvw second:
1. Ranger
-the fact that i don’t have any rangers, (was having two that in the end deleted for other toon) shows that it’s kinda useless. that needs fixing.
2. Thief
-overnerfed. it’s either you go full glass and dead seconds later, or be a clown that hides in every fight. hi-level skill is really needed to kill a just decent, or even bad warrior is kinda leaves a bad taste.
3. Elementalist
i think it’s overnerfed too, but i dunno how can i explain this? maybe because lack of weapon sets and trait selection. (while were at it PLEASE let us wield 1h sword in the future!)
the rest are fine, even OP (warrior,necro) , but i rather have some UP profession buffed than nerf the rest.

What the heck? I play a lot solo WvW, I just like it, and I don’t think it’s coincidence that like 50% of players roll with either thief or elementalist – they are just too op when roaming.

both of those have many gamebreaking bugs and needs some serious fixes and adjustments.

And I agree with the above. I’ve played a warrior since launch, about 1,000 hours into the class and I love the it, but I wish it took more effort than it already do to play it.

All of you have no idea what you are talking about! balance is sorta okay even though it needs bugfixes, all i see is people asking to nerf the classes they have problems to fight against(noobs). Only thing thats really not ok with the game atm is warrior’s signet but arena shoud be careful nerfing warrior cause of the easily evadeable weapon and utility skills he has.

- All of the nerfs since launch have further crippled a class that struggles with survivability, most especially in sPvP. The changes to the water tree need to be reverted to bolster survivability.
“Jack of all trades, master of none” should not translate to “paper tiger, easy to kill, liability to group”.
2) Necromancer
- Could be a great class if a balance between damage and utility was developed.
3) Ranger
- Other than spirit build, they aren’t very useful.

I answered the CDI didnt i? Thats just my opinion which i think is the truth, if u dont like it fine by me i dont have a prob. I just dont want to see the game in the wrong direction.
