I missed the last event entirely yay australia and getting disconnected/event end when you finally find an overflow with the event still going. Not so bad I guess since I was still leveling.

Umm, I hope you send this to all who was on. Beacuse a guildie got the mail and he was in WvW the WHOLE time, didn’t even set foot on southsun or start any event…

I received the mail in game, but I actually did manage to loot the end chest at the event.

I’m leaving it sitting in mail for now, but should we be deleting our duplicate rewards to be fair or being very thankful?

And they can know, not exactly who participated; but who was logged, where they were at, and whether or not they opened the chest.

Thanks Anet I think you have restored faith in your company from a lot of players.

I’d also like to take the time to thank you for doing this as I know it was an issue that affected a great number of players and I was also the one to instigate that massive thread (which can be seen from the lost shores archives) on this matter.

So a job well done guys – seriously, it does mean a lot to us and we thank you for stepping up to the plate and making right of a sticky situation.

I can confirm everyone gets one, I was NOT at the event and NOT logged on, I got the box in the mail.

It’s pretty obvious they CANNOT tell where people were. There are people posting that they received chests that never went to the event. No, I’m not talking about people saying they “heard” these are people admitting they didn’t go. Also, tons of posts about people getting another chest even though they got one.

Pretty sure unless every account gets a chest, it’s just going to start another kittentorm on the forums.

I was so hoping this wouldn’t happen, i’m guessing it’s easier to just send chests to all who didn’t loot it in the 1st place than it was to filter out all the people that did the chain and didn’t loot it.

Ahh well, at least people who did the chain and didn’t get to loot it got their reward, it’s just a shame some people will likely have a chance at major loot for doing nothing at all.

I’ll say thanks for fixing it for those that deserved the reward.

They’re fixing this in batches guys and they specifically mentioned it may take up to a few hours to get everyone sorted.

I have a feeling that they’re doing it by log-ins for the event which in a way is quite fair when you think about it because some people couldn’t log-in for ages and only got to do a portion of the event.

Congrats to anyone that managed to get a precursor I hope I get as lucky!

By the way, I did 6 attempts to do this event, but I got only one chest. And there are the people, who got their chest from the event and now mail one too.
I’m waiting for another 5 chests.

At least they took the time to give you ONE chest. Be thankful. They didn’t have to do this.

Actually, they did say something about more entertaining way (not a “chance”) of getting precursor than just farming. So, one can consider this as a promise.
Then they broke this promise by giving people only one chance at one particular time. I.e. – nothing changed. Just mail everyone a precursor or make an event with reasonable drop rate. I see no reason why somebody who worked his behind for this digital shiny can’t get one while someone who don’t suddenly finds himself rich with no effort whatsoever.

If this is true then i should get 2 extra as i DCed from 2 but managed to loot a chest on the 3rd, but alas i bet i won’t any (i’ve had the worst luck with things in this game)

However, i’m now wondering seeing as a few people are saying they’ve gotten a chest even though they’ve looted one already, are they simply sending everyone in the game a free chest?.

No not everyone. I didn’t get it. I was sick during the events.

Everyone is so focused on getting a precusor for the chest they receive….

Why not just be thankful you got the chest in general. You didnt have to do the event, you didnt even need to be there, or maybe you missed it.

And after all the trouble they went through to make sure you got your “Chance” the only thing you guys do is ask for more like your entitled to the precursor.

Guess what some of us had to work alot harder then you to get our precursors then to just get it for free from some easy chest.

The amount of spoiled brats on this forum is truly astonishing.

That actually a whole different matter. They said they are working a ‘scavenger hunt’ type of way to acquiring a precursors. The karka chest had nothing to do with that.

The evening of the event, I couldn’t even get past authentication it was that bad.

We’ll just have to wait & see. I’ll be awake the next couple of hours & the announcement was ~3 hours ago…so we’ll see.

I couldn’t log on at all the evening of the event, was way too jammed. I’ve hated missing out ever since just because capacity wasn’t increased for such a large event.

my friend went on vacation for a few weeks, but he attended event and didnt get anything, now hes back and he didnt get his chest?

Participated, fell through the floor during the Ancient fight, ran back from a waypoint, got kicked before I reached the chest…… Do I get one in the mail? because I still have yet to receive one.

Even if your mail is NOT full, I recommend you delete ALL previously read mail.

I bought an item from a gem store, and it was only until I started deleting old mail did I receive it, and there wasn’t a notice that my mail was full too!

Wrong, Anet confirmed back then that it wass perfectly fine to do the event again if you could get onto other servers that had it running – even if you had already finished it and had looted the chest.

It was said quite clearly it wasn’t an exploit after people asked for the exploiters to be punished.

For note: Mailbox is empty.

My situation is that I couldn’t log in at all during the evening of the event, despite trying multiple times.

Am I still meant to be expecting a chest, or…?

People are saying on reddit they are getting 2 exotics, 2 rares, the amulet and the bag……

I was at the event, all i got was 2 exotics an amulet and a bag.

How and why have you mailed out better rewards then those who were actually doing the final event?!

Got mine in mail about an hour ago. Just want to say THANKS A-Net! I thought that event went pretty bad overall (didn’t most people?) but this is a really nice gesture and more then makes up for it as far as I’m concerned
