The granddaughter was trying to make a character and the names she came up with were always taken. Anyway she got the shirts and just typed in Name Invalid and it accepted…lol.

I always use in-character names myself, but I can laugh at the creativity of others. Besides, if you’re really roleplaying, you won’t know someone else’s names

It’s dumb, but I’m somewhat proud of having claimed “Mister Cuddles” for my Charr warrior.

I also have a Sylvari necro named “Ege Bamyasi,” having won the coinflip between deciding on that or Tago Mago. He’s so green, sure, but I also gave him a mushroom head anyways. Because 70s psychedelic rock references.

I know I have seen some wonderful names on the server but it is late and I am tired and I have a terrible memory that is sadly not augmented with screenshots, but I will remember this thread for future encounters.

The most memorable name I have seen was an Asura – Moist **eef

…I am honestly on a quest for mine. Unfortunately, my bias to a name I saw to a Warrior/Ranger back in GW1 makes it so hard. “Signet of Free Beer” with a Moa named “Free Chicken.”

I named my mesmer: I’m the real clone.

Best name I’ve seen was a male mesmer named Pink Loyd.

I once saw charrkattak, and an italian friend name his asura TOM BOLA…tombola he says is the italian word for “bingo”…

I’m surprised I haven’t seen more parodies of Star Wars names on Charr, since they have a Charr Death Star in Black Citadel.

Made an Asura thief not too long ago, at the prompting of some folks here that said I should give thieves another shot. Named him Amazo the Amazing.

A guy I sometimes do dungeons with has a human female thief called Hot Human Pixels.

I named my Hyena Twix, after barely beating some guy in pvp and the only thing that saved me was That i had 2 pets one hyena to attack him and one to rez me while we were both downed.

In beta I saw a guy named “No Shirt No Problem” who, had no shirt on.

Maid Mesmerian was another one I saw and liked.

Personally, I prefer rp style names for my characters, but I have no problem with names that others come up with unless they’re truly offensive.

Here’s a few that have stood out in my head.
A guildie said pre-launch that he was planning a Sylvari Warrior named “Four Leaf Cleaver”. Not sure if he created him or not.

Also from gw1, “Woodsy the Owl”. I saw Woodsy once in DOA advertising for a full run DOA group. “Give a Hoot! Join our Group!” Sounds like a pug I would have had fun with. I’ve also seen Woodsy around in GW2, but not since beta. He probably joined a diff server.
