I dont know why but it tickled me! It made me laugh even harder when I heard “WTF why is this random guy sending me butter?!” from about 10 people on map chat and him replying with “Im Mr Butter, its my job!”. Hats off to you sir!

Here’s something amazing for you- I moved to Desolation from Gandara a couple of weeks ago to join my current guild. I was chatting in guild chat when I noticed a name that I thought familiar, a guy called Master of Butter and I asked him if he used to be on another server. Yup, youve guessed it, same guy! Of all the guilds to join, on all the servers in the game and we ended up in the same one! Bare in mind even when I laughed at his ‘butter-giving antics’ I didnt know him or even see his character!

The best I’ve seen of that variety in any game so far is “MyNameIsTooLon”.

I initially thought of a perfect name for a thief, but it was, by its nature, one I couldn’t use.
So, my brother has a thief named “I Stole This Name”.

In Guild Wars 1, I had a character named “I Brake for Oni” Of course, many of you want get that. I also had a charactered called “I Runed My Armor”.

Of my Guild Wars 2 names, my favorite is a ranger pet…a shark called diplomacy. As a member of the Vigil, that’s about as diplomatic as I get.

Perhaps not original, but Marvin the Martian, Anvil Rock Guardian (not my character, but a dark-skinned Asura replica of the Looney Toons character.) I am never into non-RP names, but that one made me smile, especially because of the armor, dye colors, and everything else looked like the little guy.

In fact:

One I’m proud of is a Sylvari guardian named Roseguardin.

Man I have no idea where you all are running into these people, I haven’t seen anyone with a particularity funny and/or awesome name.
Though I’d like to weigh in on the silly vs lore naming talk. While I do prefer names that fit into the lore (even though my Asura’s name does not due to not looking things up ahead of time whoops, I have a name in mind to change hers to whenever we get a name-changing item in the gem shop) I am the biggest sucker ever for clever pun names. Emphasis here on the clever. If its a clever pun and fits into lore, then you will have all my adoration. All of it. (Some of these Sylvari ones are killing me I nearly choked on M&Ms help)

Best one I’ve seen so far would be a Norn Warrior with the mohawk hair named ‘Mr. I Pity The Fool’ < Was so funny cause he looked almost exactly like Mr. T.
