patch notes =

Hey we are Anet we care so much about the players what we mainly thought about making new OP stuff to make you farm during somes weeks an shut up, and we included very expensive only skin item in the cash shop to make you use a LOT of money.

Otherwise smart class balance is not so important.

I sincerly hope you are excited like me to see GW2 becoming a gear treadmill game.

Blizzard team. ( ops, Anet*)

EDIT :

There are >500 skills in this game, 480 traits, and 2 designers working on this. Even then often we are bottle necked by other issues. I’m not going to say we are not working on these things, nor can I say there are things we could have changed but just ran out of time on, but this was a patch that contained ranger improvements and it will not be the last one that does so. Maybe you want more than honesty but that is what I currently have to offer.

Jon

GW1 had at least 2000 skills ( without counting all pve skills )…. now ONLY 500 skills in total, and you cant make your job correctly ? LOL

Only 2 of you ? wait GW1 didnt really had higher dev number for the skill balance right ? ( even if you are still making, like for GW1 a really not good job at balance, sorry to be rude, but its the truth )

loliloltrololo.

A prime example of how we each only represent ourselves.

Don’t let the vocal consensus became the player consensus. Anyone reading who feels they have a different outlook should post, so more perspectives are clearly visible to Anet.

Lurkers especially.

I was expecting some big balances for the classes. It seemed that for the most part, these class update notes are bug fixes. There are a few buffs here and there, but there isn’t anything really that big (in terms of PvE impact). Also, is it just me or does evasive arcana seem to take longer to cooldown in between blast finishers?

Here’s my patch feedback:

I havn’t logged in. I havn’t downloaded it. I don’t plan to. I give any dev/gm permission to check my login history and full account details if you doubt me.

Stat inflation in GW2 is unacceptable; it is not what was promised on purchased, and not why I purchased it. The rest of the patch is really irrelevant.

What I hate from this patch is the lacking of engineer fix, instead there are lots of unnecessary nerf for sPvP.

I mean seriously there are lots of bug for engineer that need to be fixed, instead of nerfing your guys should focus on those first.

Other than that it’s all good.

Sorry to say, more and more I play this patch it starts to remind me of a certain other patch from another game called NGE. Not quite as bad, but very very close.

Massive and HUGE game breaking nerfs to my main class and then they add gear creep/grind as well.

I think the thing I’m honestly most disappointed with is that you can no longer see a user name while using the report tool in WvW.

“You can no longer view opponents’ account names through reporting in WvW.”

I was very bummed because I had some very great conversations with some of the people I’ve dueled/others in general. Now instead of them just being another soldier fighting for their cause, they are just another invader….

I’m assuming this was removed because too many people were kitten hats and were talking actual trash, and I think that that’s a shame.

These notes are a joke. No nerfs for Warriors, next to nothing meaning for Thieves but that’s fine, lets slam Engineers with PvP nerfs on grenades of all things because they are the tyrants of SPvP now…?

This HAS to be some sort of joke, right AN?

LOL ^^ this, made me crack up, its a little ridiculous, not even going to lie. I’d bet its to make the grenade kit work in sPvP the way it does in PvE, without having any weapons stats (the amulet has all stats so kits dont miss out on weapon stats) — not saying it makes sense, but that’d be my guess.

Was a bit (very) disappointed to see that most of the fixes for elementalists were tooltip changes, buffs to conjure weapons (extremely clunky skills, especially in PvP), fixes to bugs that actually didn’t work (Cantrip Mastery for Mistform, still broken), and nerfs (Evasive Arcana grandmaster trait now worth of Adept status).

Would be nice to see Fire/Air traits (and a lot of our minor) actually worthwhile.

There needs to be more of a focus on attunement swapping instead of traits that give benefit only when attuned to a specific trait. Elementalists are just so squishy that we can’t afford to trait much into Fire/Air in PvP

Every patch comes balancing so severe that eventually forces people to change their play styles and probably worse, Equipments. And you just don’t know what skill is going to be cut by half in Damage or Duration next patch!

For my own example, I have a Guardian and a Thief, few patch back, my ‘Save Yourselves’ suddenly got cut by half in pvp duration out of the blues. This patch, my thief is getting ‘Dancing Daggers’ nerfed by 50%

I find this very very VERY annoying, and I think these balancing should be accumulated into ONE single ‘restructuring’ instead.

I am not opposed to balancing, mind you, in fact, it’s a good thing to even it out. But I am all-out against such frequent AND extreme balancing.

Dear ANet, thank you very much for all those fixes and improvements to Rangers this patch. I was skeptical when you said we had to wait last patch, because some of the changes and fixes were just too risky and needed further testing first. But boy was it worth the wait. That harpoon gun buff opened a whole new world to me. I can now defend the ruins on that capricorn map in PvP so much better, I almost pitty the other classes trying to take it from me. And lurking in the water in WvW, waiting for some careless enemy to jump in feels so intense. Like jaws or the kraken! woot. Add there I was all these days thinking I could do some damage with my bows, have my pet actually hit moving targets, lay traps or even use a sword without being glued to my target and not being able to dodge properly. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Now please add something to the gem shop so I can change my Ranger’s name to “xX teh krakken Xx” or “Jaques Custeau”, Thanks.

I am disappointed in some of the changes made with this patch, mainly the evasive wave change, If it was not intended to have it as a blast finisher well I say to you perhaps you should re think that. Arcane was the only worth while thing to get 30 points in, now I have no trait line that lures me into putting 30 points into. I like the elementalist play style it was unique and different and had me constantly moving and dodging. Elementalist doesn’t seem to be a completed class I have no intention of playing other classes. I hope you guys will be able to make the class more complete if it takes some months i guess ill see ya in some months but until then I think I am done, I got my monies worth, then robbed at halloween event but oh well. Worst patch thus far. Necro had minor tweaks only (no AI fix? really?), new gear grind added with no end to stat bloat/power creep in sight, new resources without bank slots, added a lot of Destroyer weapon recipes when they are one of the rarer lodestones already, and basically ruined my desire to log in. Oh, and zero changes/updates/info about WvW.

Dear Anet,

I did not wish to play a game with a gear treadmill and mudflation and always-better-gear-around-the-corner. I bought this game specifically because it was not going to have any of that.

Haven’t logged in, won’t be logging in, enjoy needing to churn out more and more content constantly and constantly being told by players that they are bored by your content. Enjoy needing to rebalance stats in the future because your model was not designed for mudflation — none ever are, because nobody wants to think it will happen, but then everyone winds up introducing mudflation regardless. Enjoy not getting a dime for me so long as I won’t be able to gear out a character easily and sit on it for a year and not come out in gear that isn’t worth jack squat compared to the new status quo.

The thing that I am disappoined about was investing 600 hours into a game because it wasn’t going to have a gear treadmill. Now everything indicates we got bait and switched, and there is going to be a rediculous gear treadmill.

TLDR: got tricked into putting 600 hours into just another WoW clone.

I REALLY don’t understand why people are super pissed about 2 the extra 2pts of stats that the ascended gear gives you (the ring goin from 58 on exotic to 60 for ascended). I view it as something else to attain, the stat change isn’t big enough to cause THAT much of a difference in WvW, and it definitely wont make that much of a difference in PvE.

Its not a WoW clone, you aren’t paying monthly unless you’re an idiot. Without that monthly subscription fee, you are entitled to nothing. Nope, not a kitten thing other than the game out of the box. The game was playable and complete when it came out of the box, and that is all Anet owes you. Sure there were and still are some bugs, but go look at any other PC/Xbox/PS game and tell me they are perfect. I am having a blast in every single aspect of this game with each profession I try (engineer, ranger, warrior, necro), I think people need to quit being so kitten entitled and let the devs do their job.

Constructive criticism is always a good thing, but if you’re going to get on the forums and kitten about why the game isn’t perfect and how you hate it so much just don’t play it. Games are to have fun, if you’re not having fun, you’re doing something wrong.

TLDR: Quit complaining unless you have something constructive to say. Entitlement will get you no where, you don’t pay a monthly fee, all you are entitled to is the game out of the box.

The funny thing is that for people who use the non-stat effects of runes Ascendant gear is a downgrade. But people still flipped their kitten.

Some classes got nerfs to a few abilities…

Eles got nerfed to the point that an entire playstyle + weapon (staff) is now a sad joke.

But they buff warriors and leave all the other bunker class builds relatively unscathed + in some cases BUFFed them.

Then you add a mandatory gear treadmill on top of all this.

Slap to the face.

Anet, im sorry but I found the problem to all of this. You have 2 developers working on this…..one more time…. 2 developers….seriously?

You need quite a bit more people focusing on these issues, as game balancing is one of the most important aspects of an mmo

You should have a small team AT LEAST to do game balancing. Yes, a team.

I love GW2, but the game I thought I would play for years to come is fading away really fast. I still believe in you, but things need to start going up…soon.

Yet another patch full of Engineer nerfs and no substantial fixes to the many problems this class has. Unbelievable really to keep hammering an underplayed and difficult to master class like Engineer while constantly buffing an easymode class like Warrior. Just makes me shake my head in disbelief really.

Then there’s the lack of any WvW fixes, have you given up on this aspect of the game? Seems so.

And of course there’s the wonderful shiny new gear treadmill. The less said about that the better, so I’ll just say “no thanks”.

I watched every video and read every story about Guild Wars 2. I believed what the developers told us about no grinding or vertical progression. When will game developers understand that if they make promises, give their vision, or otherwise tell their potential future customers they are going to do something, they think they can just toss those words aside? PVE Content junkies looking for the next carrot will do the content and burn out on it in a week. Then they will be back screaming for the next big item boost. What happened to playing the game because it was just fun to play?

You remember Age of Conan? Warhammer Online? Star Wars The Old Republic? So do I. They all promised gamers a new experience. They would all be the answer to bad design and be different than the rest. Guess where they all are now? How long do you think you kept these people happy for? I predict a rapid decline of players in this game. This patch is only the beginning. I told my friends I wouldn’t buy into the hype of another game. Well, you got me again. The funny thing is, I’ve been waiting for some great content to be added to the store (armor and weapon skins?) so I could buy them. Instead, you give us vertical progression and gated content.

Customers do remember and they do hold you accountable. You’ll see. When you finally realize your mistakes, it will be too late. Everyone will have moved on. I’ve seen it at least five times now.

Thank you for at least making a great looking and fun game on release. I hope you can turn things around.

Disappointing patch seems aimed at getting more WoW players and less about Guild Wars players:

Lets see:

Introduce stat creep in gear despite promises not to do so all through development. Need to cater to the WoW crowd to keep shareholders happy rather than just make a good game with solid design principles that you stick to. Bigger numbers =/= better game or more fun except for those lacking accomplishments or a sense of achievement outside the game.

Buff the easiest to play class to attract WoW warrior fanatics, make them feel powerful (warrior being the god class of WoW so may as well try to aim at their biggest player segment).

Nerf… I mean ‘bug fix’ harder to play classes. Seriously though, Ele needed buffs and QoL fixes and an Elite skill worth using. The least they could of done is make Tornado reflect missiles (makes sense somewhat).

Ignore the problems with Mesmer portal, put a nerf on it that does not to address the problem. Hint the fix was actually to limit it to people in the Mesmer’s party only, 30 secs more cool down affects the utility of the skill, does nothing to fix WvW balance.

Ignore WvW problems.

Nerf some more classes that are already harder to play.

Reduce class balance team to 2 people for 8 classes that have a lot of bugs. One of the most important areas of the game for most people gets neglected. In the early months the class balance team should be a lot larger, at least 1 Dev and/or champion (spokesperson) per class for fixes and improvements. Currently, this has been a disaster.

I couldn’t get a rats about new content until existing content is fixed and classes have all had a ‘fun and balance’ pass.

Seriously dropped the ball on this one. I was excited about GW2 for ages. I want to remain excited about it but recently it seems the cash shop is the only real focus. I get you need money to run but people will spend more money if they feel good about the game. Player retention will be higher if you just properly fix and balance what you have.

Seems Anet is putting out half done content and not focusing its efforts. We have half done released classes, half done with multi bugs event chains. Half thought out content in the Lost Shores. Seriously, it just feels like it was not given enough time to address all it needed to. We could have waited until Christmas for decent new content. What we really needed was a solid class pass rather than a bit here and a bit there, leaving some classes weak and buffing ones that didn’t really need it.

I hate this patch even without experiencing the new events. My achievements went down by nearly 800 points. The ascended item fiasco – which should be reconsidered or not introduced based on the huge backlash by players. Nerfs to classes that need buffs the most – Engineers and rangers. Buffs to classes that don’t need it – Warriors.

So I’ll add it here too
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Dynamic-event-reward-scaling-broken

Apparently the base rewards for dynamic events has been cut in half and now diminishes VERY quickly. Just 1 hour after I posted that I’m now just getting around 88 karma instead of the pre 15th update rate of 243.

I used to ‘farm’ the events in Wayfarer Foothills because it’s a great zone and there are SOOOO many events that run all the time there and I’d always get 243 karma and 1s 20c for my gold efforts as a level 80, now I barely get anything at all.

Is this just Anet pushing everyone to Orr where no one really likes to be or did they actually break DE scaling and turn diminishing returns up to 11 ?

Hello Arena Net,

Here is my feedback on the patch:

I am happy to see that the trait points I have invested into improving my profession’s core mechanic (Death Shroud), now work properly. However, I was disappointed that more profession related bug fixes were not implemented, specifically for Necro, and almost universally hated traits / mechanics (e.g. Re-animator) were not touched in the slightest.

I appreciate that you are working on generating new content rapidly. However, I prefer functional content over new content. I feel that there has been a mismanagement of resources on the project, when it comes to the balance between new development and sustaining. Additionally, I feel there has been a mismanagement of the customer’s expectations for fixing broken content.

I really like your concept for the Fractals of the Mists. I think an evolving and scaling dungeon sounds really entertaining, and I expect that I will enjoy it. I have yet to try it for reasons I will discuss below. I also think whoever named it has a good sense of humor, giving it the acronym FotM.

However, all of this is overshadowed by the release of Ascended gear. After seeing some of the Ascended gear, I am distraught that this is the path you have taken. I am extremely disappointed that you felt the need to introduce vertical progression after only 2 months, when you have marketed the game on horizontal progression for years. Horizontal gear progression was one of the primary reasons I purchased your title, as I have absolutely zero desire to play a vertical progression game.

Mostly, I am worried. Worried that this once-great game will devolve into a gear treadmill. You tell me that you can appease the vertical progression crowd while not feeling like a treadmill, but I am not comforted.

I had been hyping this game to my friends at every chance I had. I told them GW2 was the best game available for my casual, time-limited, child-rearing brethren. “Leave that pointless gear grinding behind,” I would tell them over Ventrilo. Three were ready to quit D3 and migrate to GW2 after the free trial weekend. I have now told them that I can no longer fully endorse this game for our play time.

I believe that I am your target customer for a cash-shop revenue model. I have a fair-sized discretionary budget and very little discretionary time. I have no problem spending money for conveniences, bank tabs, skins etc., if it makes my available play time more enjoyable. However, I do not have time to engage in long gear grinds to be on par with other players. This, single-handedly, kills my enjoyment for a game. I will not be putting any additional money into GW2 in the near future.

That said, I am not going to rage-quit and uninstall. I will take a break and monitor the situation. When I get the motivation to log-in and play, I will see if my Necro still feels fun. I will check out the FotM and try to acquire some Ascended gear. If it does not feel like an overbearing grind (which, I assume, it will if it truly bridges the enormous gap between Exotic and Legendary), I will continue to play. And if I am having fun, I will resume spending money and selling the title to my friends.

I do not think a game can successfully cater to vertical progression without feeling like a treadmill, but I would be happy to be proved wrong.

Please add more people to the class balance/skills team, and fix the obvious, glaring issues many classes have. Adding new content is nice, but if half the classes don’t enjoy their characters, they’re not going to enjoy going through new content with those characters.

It is in your best interest monetarily to fix broken classes and keep those people playing (and hopefully paying). If you continue to ignore the obvious class disparities, people will either all switch to warrior or quit playing.

Profession adjustments were pre-hyped, (“five pages of profession updates”, must have been double spaced pages?). Not the level of adjustments and fixes most were expecting.

I’m really, really hoping the Events section is very, very incomplete. There are many dozens of DEs through out the game that have been broken pretty much since launch. IMO, they should hve been fixed at a rate of one a day, with patches every two or three days, until they were all fixed. The list in the patch notes? Maybe one of the dozens of broken DEs I’ve seen over and over again was on that list. So, yeah, I hope it’s incomplete, because if all those broken DEs are still broken, something is very wrong at your end.

So far, I have no issues with any of the specific profession changes. No building nerf rage, so that’s a good thing.

I’m also looking forward to the new content and am praying there are no broken DEs, as I’m not looking forward to a new list of broken DEs that won’t be fixed three months from now.

Love the game. Love Arenanet. Please make fixing or replacing broken DEs a high focus priority. they all should have been fixed/replaced at least a month ago. Every broken DE sucks some life out of the game and there is zero excuse for them not to be fixed/replaced by the end of November.

I completely agree with you. One of the most attractive about this game for me and many others is no gear treadmill. I loved gw1 for that very reason as well.

Just make legendary and exotics keep the same basic stats as each other. Do not punish the players who have less time then others.

Logged in, saw the ascended items being posted in chat and lost my motivation to play. i’ll check out the dungeon but if it really takes 30+ runs to get one of these items I won’t be playing.

The content looks good, although I am not a hugely into PvE. Fractals looks very interesting (personally I am not getting my knickers in a twist about Ascendant gear as I do not care for min/maxing) and I think that allowing lvl 80 players to get on-level drops in lower level zones is a great idea and will hopefully spread the population out a bit.

On the other hand I am most disappointed about how we were promised sweeping class balance changes in this patch, promises that have clearly not been delivered on.

My biggest disappointment is concerning the ranger class, which ANet have acknowledged as being one of the classes most in need of some love. Jon Peters promised us “quality of life” changes and “significant ranger improvements” in this patch but instead we receive some tooltip/icon fixes and buffs to some of our underwater skills, while the major issues with our pets not being able to hit non-stationary targets, our lackluster traits and utility skills, etc, go unfixed – once again we are asked to have patience, but there is a limit to the number of times that this can be said before people just give up.

Well… the profession changes were pretty poor given the time from the last patch with changes, and the fact that most of the changes were about improving underwater combat in time for the new content is also pretty poor.

[edit] Not that anyone will read this but; a lie is defined as a deliberate attempt to mislead, given that there is no information that ANet was deliberately attempting to mislead its customers you can’t say (with any authority) that they are lying to you without bending the truth is several ways.

Their development philosophy seems to have changed over time and no one can fault them for that, least of all the entitled players whinging about ANet lying to them.

Fornicate like you’ve never fornicated before.
I am anti-censorship, for it doesn’t make sense to pander to a minority.

I didn’t read all 9 previous pages but I just wanted to throw my 2c worth out there (so it can disappear in sea of complaints, QQ, and the rare pat on the back – I’m assuming but I feel pretty confident in that assumption).

My main is a Warrior, has been since launch. I’ve played around with alts but I haven’t put anywhere close to the amount of time and dedication (what little I have to spend) that I’ve put in my Warrior.

Overall I’ve been very well pleased with the class. There’s a couple skill / trait / gear builds we have the option of for that “one trick pony”, “please God I hope this kills my opponent because if not I’m gonna have to run like my kitten’s on fire” massive damage avenues. More so though a well balanced Warrior with a well balanced and thought out skill / trait / gear build is just that – Well Balanced. I’m no programmer by anyone’s estimation to be sure but it seems that a Well Balanced class and build (that remains highly effective that is) is a hard thing to pull off. Not just in this game but in this game genre. Most of GW2 predecessor’s couldn’t produce even one class that the previous could be said about. Given that I feel that A-Net has done a great job with GW2, balancing, and the classes in general. Before anyone ignites the flame thrower, I’m in NO WAY insinuating perfection, only a great job so far relative to the a large majority of it’s competition. Only a few months post launch though and they seem to have their head screwed on straight and I confidently look forward to improvements mostly judging from their history, all be it a brief one still.

Now, for my criticism; As far as it concerns the Warrior class in general this patch may very well not even happened. Despite a stickied compiled list of dozens upon dozens of bugs that DO have a noticeable impact on the game play of the Warriors. Literally NONE of them were addressed. Skills, that due to bugs have been pretty well unused by the entire class community since launch weren’t addressed or even acknowledged. I mean, of the short list of what was addressed for the Warrior class some of the changes are as insignificant as mere ICON CHANGES! We still have skill tool tips that need no more than simple clarification in their wording that weren’t even glanced at. Not to mention skills that are just outright broken and so useless.

For example Last Stand; it’s simply supposed to proc our skill to quickly recover from certain forms of CC – straight forward, simple, and useful as it’s described that is. Unfortunately, this skill doesn’t proc when the CC’s to which it applies are administered. When does it proc? AFTER we suffer through the entire duration of the CC – then it procs . That’s so ridiculous its downright comical. It’s like an airbag that deploys only after those in the car are launched through the windshield and smeared across the road face first.

Well I didn’t plan for this to end up this as a lengthy ramp so I just leave it on that note as a perfect example as the kinds of things that COULD have and SHOULD have been fixed in this new build you guys have advertising as a “Big Patch”. Surely you can understand how we had high hopes for many of our bugs like the Last Stand mentioned above to finally get fixed and open new doors in spec and build customization for us. Likewise you should be able to see why this “Big Patch” was big disappointment, at least for the Warriors.

Essentially we got nothing out of this patch, no nerfs, but no buffs (which I don’t feel we need), and not a single significant bug addressed. Essentially its as though there was no patch at all as it applies to the Warrior class. We got some new PvE, PvP, and item content added, just like every other player. It’s nothing but business as usual though for us. Everything that was broken on day one for us remains exactly as it was on day one. We remain a class that wasn’t and still isn’t broken. With the same broken skills, the same everything pretty much.

Nothing to kitten about, nothing to celebrate. To sum up this patch in one word – NOTHING. At least in my humble opinion.

Giving engineers nerfs and zero ACTUAL fixes was just disheartening.
It really feels like you have said " Re Roll, or quit."

All we are asking for is some communication on the engineer forums. Any plans to help our class? Or are we just SoL

It was really hard to Defend you guys when people started linking the Ascended items.

I really don’t want to spend the time to get the new gear. All of my friends have moved on from this game. This may have just put the nail in the coffin for me as well. I will log in tomorrow and enjoy the events. After this weekend though I may not have it in me anymore.

This is a sad day. You guys had something great. Just couldnt help your selves, had to please the share holders. Im afraid its only going to make things worse. The decline in players will be even faster now. If i had wanted a new teir of gear I can go back to playing WoW. This just doesnt make any sense. The patch notes were also quite sad. too many nerfs. just too many.

Im really, really bummed. i waited for 2 years for this game. At least I got a couple months out of it. its just too bad.

I thought it was a decent update… at least thieves got nerfed! And we have a new area to explore! And a new endless dungeon with a REWARD FOR THE EFFORT. Its not catering to the WoW fanboys or the Content locusts.. What do you plan to do in your full uber 1337 full runed exotic set? There is nothing you can do. Farm Orr… thats about it.. PvE wise anyway.. Everyone just sees a half empty glass.. that’s the real problem. /anti flame suit on

Now, onto my Engineer experiences. I LOVE Elixer B’s new stats. Improving the Tool Kit was a massive step forward, the Turret “fixes” were great DPS wise, but they still pull unwanted mobs and shoot at the ground when nothing is around. When I attack something, they attack something else… I’d love a way to focus fire them in a future patch. Our class still has more bugs then the rainforest but Im glad its being worked on.. not sure why you nerfed grenades but whatever. Rifle it is. BLUNDERBUSS! PEW PEW PEW! Looking forward to more changes Anet!

Taking the higher moral ground since 1993.

I am extremely disapointed by this patch.
Sure new content is always welcomed but what about massive bug corrections and skill/traits balance?
Just looking at bug thread in each profession subforum show how many bugfixes have been waiting for a long time and still not adressed 3 months after launch.

And what about useless traits that many professions have? Can we expect a change one day?

To me, this patch only address minor changes at best, and a few nerfs here and there.
A few things were buffs but we expected something big from this patch as it was announced (4 pages patch notes).

Corrections and balance changes are way too slow to come, players won’t wait for 2 years to get all fixes, they might quit before…

I really appreciate the Patch. I can’t wait to finally progress my character to become stronger. Can we have more item progression in the future? Progression every 3 months seems too long. Just abandon developing those silly skins… because we all know what’s important is stats~

Did you guys tweak the FOV? It seems my zoom looks off. Either I zoom in and my feet are cut off or I zoom out and it seems like my character is tiny.

Field of View has been changed for 16:9 monitors, if you like the old fiew, open your shortcut and after your target. “C:/GuildWars2/” (however yours looks) after the end " and -UseOldFOV

Additional Build Notes:

General

Stats of legendary weapons have been returned to normal.
Total achievement points display bug has been fixed.
Ranger traps have been reset to their expected cooldowns.
We have officially moved over to the new wide-screen FOV (Field of View). If you would prefer to return to the old FOV, please place the following command in your target for the game .exe: -useOldFov

Thankyou Arenanet, I can’t wait to play through the content which you have spent your time handcrafting for us to enjoy

I really appreciate it.

Now onto a few things, I have some questions/ideas about game direction and would appreciate it if other people helped brainstorm.

Ok you are adding this content which gradually gets harder and takes a long time to get new gear to keep us preoccupied and that is really great, but how are we supposed to form groups to progress through content if we don’t know what kind of gear other people are wearing?

The agony system is really going to require a level of resistance which its mandatory for group leaders to know what kind of gear their members have in order to form successful groups or raids.

So we are going to need some form of gear score, publicly viewable agony resistance or inspect. What is your plan to address this ANet?

Also, what kind of player number cap are you putting on these dungeons? I mean 5 players is all well and good but it doesn’t feel anything like as epic as killing a mighty dragon with say, 25 or 40 people.

Thanks for reading, and thankyou arenanet for finally listening to the community ^^

Feel free to give input as well people.

I totally agree with you bro. While we are at it why don’t you guys make some kind of Dungeon LFG system? So it’s easier to group up and match infusion lvl between each members of the party.

I know, it would make things a lot easier not having to go through the boredom of finding a group yourself.

Also, what do you guys feel about making the bosses larger? Like really large, because when the boss fight consists of someone that’s the same height as my average human then it doesn’t feel very imposing or epic.

I was really optimistic about this patch despite really disliking the new ascented gear. I was hoping this would finally be THE patch to fix at least some of my problem with the game. But now seeing the patch notes I’m just disappointed.

- Removing another viable build from ele.
- ‘significant’ ranger fixes… just lol
- Culling didn’t get fixed.
- Orbs and dolyak rewards didn’t get fixed.
- I still feel like the game is forcing me to roll a warrior.
- WvW still remains as the only part of the game that has received zero new content.

Edit: Also, whatever happened to ‘when it’s ready’. I was expecting a high quality game with the major bugs and problems fixed by now.
