I just watched the PoI and came here to post about this! Very cool references. Especially to someone that’s been playing fighting games for a long, long time.
I think Mr. Norfolk is a fighting game fan. I feel like I’ve seen him wearing some BrokenTier (or other FG) merchandise on streams before.
This was the first thing I noticed when I saw “Primal Rage” and “Bloody Roar,” and it’s beyond awesome, especially because Primal Rage, Bloody Roar, and Guilty Gear are among my favorite fighting games ever!
With all these fighting game references though, I’m surprised there aren’t any Mortal Kombat ones, like “Finish Him” or “Flawless Victory.”
I saw this thread, went to see the Warr specialization, and then looked at the torch skills on Dulfy. It immediately popped out to me that “Flames of War” might be a reference to “Gears of War.” I suppose it could be referencing Tickers from the game—maybe not!
