I am actually surprised that no one even attempted to “it will be fixed soon” from anet’s side.

Yes, I know this issue got reported numerous times now, but please, Anet, fix this. In case of other Living story episodes I got the challenge mote to appear the “usual way” by re-entering the instance about 20-50 times, re-start the episoden, switch to character creation screen and different players starting the instance etc. but in case of “Meeting the Asura” nothing works at all.

I stopped counting at 200 tries on this stupid achievement

Usually I think Anet are great at what they do but the fact that this is still going on and we haven’t even gotten a “we are working on this issue” is really testing my patience. It has been weeks guys, please get this sorted.

hi — i have been able to get the world summit mote to work three times now (and it is extremely random) by outright abandoning the story, starting a new one, relogging (or restarting my computer), and then restarting the story… however, i am one of those people who had a mote visible the first time i tried after the patch.

if it helps, i have found that partying up with people who haven’t yet seen the mote makes it stop appearing for me — i tried to help out a couple of other players earlier, but it didn’t work at all. however, as i said, this method has let me see it, when i enter alone, a couple of times now!

yeah its the asura challenge mote thats broken for me. and the mod that merged topics just made kitten worse.

Same here. No challenge mode “sphere” in Meeting the Asura, more than 3 weeks. Try it everyday 5-6 times during day. Zero

I think it would be nice if they just gave us an alternative way to get the ascended item for the biolum set. The point in doing the achievement for me is to try and complete the set. Just put in a secondary way of getting the item and i’d be a happy camper. They can fix the stupid mote later for all i care.

I agree with this 100%. Options include, but not limited to removing unforgiving infiltration from the meta achie, or just adding the ascended item to the vendor for 1000-2000 bandit crests.

I want to finish the achievement: Unforgiving Infiltration, which belongs to “meeting the asura”. I want to do it, but I can’t find the “blue light” option (Challenge Mote) at the beggining. Any idea what to do?

Luckily for me I JUST decided to get the lumi set… in 2 days (I work full time) I got everything but this mote. This is a potential way to make sure achievements are not easily completed in under a month. I also corrected your time frame in the quote to accurately show how things are being handled.

I’d be less upset if this achievement is just for.. some random thing, or not really required like meta. it use to be like that isn’kitten where you just need to do 7/9 or whatever achievements to get the meta.

EDIT: Verata’s Seared Ring and Jurah’s Jewel are the only ones that you can buy directly w/o any achievements.

Well, if you had 10 characters, each of them could have one equipped at the same time.

What if you delete/sell it and later want to use it?
What if you don’t want to keep changing it among your alts?
What if you want to use 2 offensive rings or accessory at the same time(by infusing 1 of them)?
All that requires you to buy an extra copy.

Thank you for the acknowledgement but there are two separate bugs being discussed in the same thread now. The original thread was about the challenge motes appearing unreliably. The new discussion is specifically about the Meeting The Asura challenge mote being completely removed/broken in the March 16th patch.

I was able to do all the achievements from the last 4 chapters except meeting the asura so I assume they fix most of them seeing how this merged thread is focus only on meeting the asura mission, whitch gives hope this one is going to get fix as well. Still I think anet should have given us a reply on this metter… Maybe they are just all focus on HoT

I really hope they fix this soon now that someone has acknowledged this bug. Though to those of people saying it’s been 3 months: it’s only been roughly 3 weeks that the mote has been COMPLETELY broken. Before that it was only unreliable but worked most of the time.

It was such a pity because the day right before the patch which broke the mote I had been doing the other Meeting the Asura Achievements and saw the mote many times. If only I had done the achievement then.

Make no mistake I love this game, but this is the most annoying bug I’ve encountered in my gaming “carrier”. (it tops the broken main quest-line blocking bugs I’ve gotten in all 3 episodes of Gothic,)
