If it’s the bug with the mote, that’s been there since day one, and we still got through it. I encountered that numerous times, so I know how people feel. The fix is to have each party member deactivate and then reactivate the storyline, and re-enter. So it’s not impossible, just irritating.

Why would you say that? Some people never saw the bug; the mote always worked for them. Some people saw it repeatedly, but applying the work-arounds above, they could progress the achievement. It’s only recently that the work-arounds stopped working, i.e. it got worse.

So the OP is right: some people have lumi armor. And others replying are also correct: that was then; this is now.

They started breaking 4 months ago. Apparently got completely broken 1 month ago. Seems a bit late for “hopefully soon”.

I asked an ANet employee in game. Saw him in HotM. He didn’t seem very busy, so I asked.

I’ve notice there are generally people like me (want achievement/rewards) and people that keeps claiming its only 1% broken (“You get 99% of the content!!!”).

I like to elaborate as to why it is more than 1% broken. Lets consider this one and only fact. Please be aware I am only speaking for Seeds of Truth.

“You can play the story with someone that has the Living Story Episode (7*).”

By the definition of the 1% is the Challenge Mote block, then you have way over 90% of the content by just making a friend.

So my argument is that you actually only have 10% of episode (7*). This is because you get the story, a few achievements that gives you general junk that you can live without/isn’t worth the effort to get, but you cannot get the ascended armor box for achieving META and an ascended trinket, which I argue is worth about 90% of the episode, and preventing 100% of the Meta.

With this I kindly ask people who do not understand why we are upset to let us make a bring an serious amount of attention to this matter, and stop telling us that it is just one small thing. I would hate if someone gave me a Ferrari with no vin tags anywhere except on the engine… but it does not have the original engine available, to obtain this engine you need a key, which requires the vin code to obtain. Sure you can rig an engine to fit (craft your ascended armor) and sure you can live without it (use exotics/what available gear). But is that 99% of a Ferrari or less?

I appreciate that it seems ANet is getting a little traction on this issue with at lease one solid response, and a response to a player in game. I for one would love to get ascended gear, as would many people who cannot dedicate their life to crafting. It is a great way for people to get ascended (non meta, ie non Zojja) trinket and a piece of ascended armor to enjoy.

I for one didn’t get the episodes for the story, I missed out on LW1 when I went on a different game type hiatus and there for have no attachment to the characters or the lore of what’s going on. I got the stories for the sole purpose of getting the luminescent armor, which I am not able to complete.

I wait like a 1 month yet.

I was in a similar situation, except I logged in once a week to check stuff, so I had them unlocked, if nothing else. (a dear friend of mine kept nudging me to make sure I unlock em)

This is ridiculous it has been over 3 months. This was literately the only reason I bought this episode.

Just one month. It was the March 17 patch that broke it. The complaints about this patch were then merged into a two-month old thread that had been fixed.

At the time there were workarounds such as ‘start the instance multiple times’, ‘get to the right point in the story/read the mail’ and ‘hide your mini’. None of these tricks work for the current (and as far as I am aware, only broken challenge mote) issue in ‘Meeting the Asura’.

Ah well like others said, this started after the March 17th patch, maybe looking into the code if it affected anything story journal wise.

The problem I’m having is that every time I enter the Meeting the Asura instance the challenge mote does not appear.

My girlfriend and I purchased and completed the entire living story. After we completed it we went back to the first one and began working on the achievements. When we got to Meeting the Asura we couldn’t find the challenge mote, and after some internet research, discovered others couldn’t as well. We skipped the instance and went on doing the rest of the achievements.

Since then I have quit and restarted this section of the living story multiple times. I have entered the instance many many many times. I’ve tried every possible way of entering (in a group, without a pet, without a title, without any gear, log in log out etc). I have never been able to see the challenge mote a single time.

At one point I even quit and restarted this section of the story, then went to the Pale Tree to watch the cs leading up to Meeting the Asura instance so that the quest log would be caught up to it. I still couldn’t get it to spawn.

Something that I do notice though is that when I’m in the Meeting the Asura instance I get the error message that says “this is not your instance, you won’t get credit for progressing the instance” a lot.

Hope any of that helped and if you have anymore questions or need screenshots or anything I’m here to help anyway I can.

My account in its current state can get the challege motes in World summit to appear SOLO but NOT if I’m in a group. If I’m in a group, they aren’t there for anyone else in the party.

Have you guys tried cloning some of the live accounts for users with the issues back to QA to see if you can pull anything out of them thats useful?

Slightly offtopic but what about the rest of the LS bugs? Such as as not being able to damage the dragon in the final fight of season 2 or missing retry motes in Hidden Arcana?

The text sounds normal since people doing the instance for the achievements will skip the previous step. If you do “The Newly Awakened” then that text should go away.

So you decided to take the greedy route and put the LS2 in the gem store without fixing bugs, that have been around for at least 3-4 weeks.

The achievement in question is “unforgiving infiltration”, “meeting the Asura” is the name of the instance, not of the achievement.
And as it was stated,they are working on the unforgiving infiltration and we should expect a fix “soon”.

If you find the green starred mail titled “Regarding your Request” and open it for a few seconds, it should count as reading the mail. Otherwise, just delete that one message and when you restart the chapter, you should get another mail.

Wish I could say we FINALLY got a response because of Sina’s finesse and articulation. However, I’m pretty sure it was because Akagami/Robotosis hit them round the head with a baseball bat that made them pay attention.

Yeah I’m done with the nagging, I’ll wait for a little.

Just like to add to the confusion. This mote is bugged as of 17 April 2015 and no workarounds are viable. I purchased the four episodes of the second half of Season 2 in order to get the ascended chestpiece, and this is the only achievement left. I completed all parts of all chapters, then started going back through the achievements, but not strictly in order. The mote never appeared for me (in the past 3 days).

Please fix this quickly.

So sorry, my communication was poor there. The issue that prevented the sale of the Series 2 Complete Pack was resolved, so it can be sold again. The challenge motes issue is still under investigation.

Well seeds of truth is near the end of the living story. So maybe in 2 weeks we’ll start seeing people with the challenge mote issue. And start getting an influx of more angry customers. Or maybe we’re the only ones who care.
