I am suffering constant crashing as soon as I get past the character selection screen. The game worked perfectly before the Heart of Thorns update and now it crashes either during the map loading phase or just after, before I am even able to move my character.

I should also add that I have reinstalled the game twice at this point with no improvement whatsoever.

Still unable to download the expansion launcher crashes every single time plz help, fix, or at least acknowledge this issue Arena Net have repeatedly repaired client and restarted system, including uninstalling guildwars 2 and reinstalling. nothing is working and all drivers are up to date was working perfectly fine at 10pm on the 22nd right before expansion launched.

Latest patch today has broken the game for me. I was having no issues logging in yesterday and earlier today (1pm est). Now, it is stuck on login screen for long time. When it finally loads, many of the graphical assets are missing. Even on the character selection screen, assets are missing – no progression box, no character models, and on some alts no picture in thumbnails.

Every time i try to open the green reward chest from the second zone the game crashes

My client crashes when I want to open the reward chest from the main event in aurium basin! So annoying, please fix this.

since the latest patch update while playing in the new maps i keep getting random black screens the game shuts my pc down and restarts ive run the gw2 repair tool and done a clean install of my nvidia drivers yet its still happening

Action Camera – Teleports
in the normal camera mode, when using judge’s intervention or flashing blade on a targeted mob outside of the max range of the skill, you still teleport 1200 or 600 units towards the mob. in action camera mode, the skill goes on full CD without teleporting unless the target is within the range of the skill.

When upgrading our guild hall today, I bought something for 7700 influence in our guild.
Then suddenly the merchant disappeared, I cant remember what the item was.
After further investigation I noticed that nothing happened, so I was wondering what did I spend the influence on or is this some bug where I just wasted the influence? :/

update and chest still crashes game

Just used two of the new fractal extractors to split the agony infusions from my infused rings. Both the infusions and rings do not appear in the mystic forge window, so they cant be used to craft an attuned ring now.

I tried to way point into lions arch to play Mad king says and the game booted me and started redownloading, it has frozen 5 times and is taking a exceptonally long time to load. I had allredy fully installed the game, And loggefd out to install the patch. This is really Really annoying. Other then that I do love the new content, worth every penny. Heat Sync on Warhorn in fire attunement for tempest is still not copying any boons. Only gives 3 stacks of might to the user.

In the prologue, kitten many others. Got booted at the end of chapter 2 due to a new build, logged back in, and I’m back in the first instance, the mission text says “return to the jungle” But there’s no way out of the instance.

Anet you need to get more disciplined with your patches, your ability to deploy patches quickly means you think you can do it any time. You don’t take into account the load on your download servers, I missed my guild opening the guild hall because of this, which should be a great part of the xpac.

Client crashes every few hours. GTX 770 Driver 358.50 (latest), i7-4770K, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro. Crash report has been different every time. Usually some kind of projectile effect mentioned. The last time I wasn’t anywhere near a fight so I’m not sure what projectile means. It’s getting VERY frustrating as it has happened almost every time I’ve been getting close to a new waypoint in the new content and then have to backtrack. I can’t believe I paid money for this kitten.

GW2 has had random crashing issues since day 1. I think it’s some compatability issue with nVidia as everyone I’ve seen report this has been running nVidia. I have a 670 on Windows 10, but the issue was there on Windows 7 as well. I was actually hoping Windows 10 might stablize it. Newest driver. PC crashed to freeze once today and twice the video driver reset…within an hour. Try setting the frame limiter to 60fps, I still crash, but not as often.

Hmm. Now that makes sense. I’m running a GeForce too. I’ve got the latest drivers too.

Invigorating Torrents’ regeneration boon on aura does not clear any conditions when combined with Cleansing Water (1 condition clear when applying regeneration).

Tempest Defense’s damage increase does not increase Lightning Rod damage that procs when disabling a foe.

After the patch UI, my client don’t want to show up, it is still running, I can hear music from the caracter select, but i’m stuck seeing my desktop’s wallpaper (other people can see me online during that time).
Also , if I press “enter”, to load into my caracter, it will crash instantly.
It would be nice to be able to play again to HoT, please fix this issue!

Upon Attuning a Ring it gets a messed up name.

For example I had a Red Ring of Death. I did Red Ring of Death (Infused) in Mystic Forge. I then Attuned the Ring (adding second Agony Slot) and it’s now Attuned Bagh Nakh (Infused). Stats are all the same as they should (Berserker) but the names are all flip flopped all over.

Happens with every ring.

Bolt 1: The Experimental Sword
I have 20/21 items, just need the Intricate Carved Orrian Relic from explorer loana in cursed shore. Except she is bugged and at completion of the event chain with the Risen King, she doesn’t offer the item to you, making completing Bolt 1 impossible currently

and other combat consumables can be used in any “Ultimate challenge for exalted armor” and i barely wiped all participants in 10 seconds.

I’ve been playing the core game on my laptop with extremely low graphic settings over the last year with about 20-28 fps. Fully playable for me and if I want a better experience I switch over to my PC. But HoT maps are almost unplayable on my laptop. Even with all graphics settings set to minimum, I average about 12 fps. If I get near any pact ships on fire, my fps drops to 1-3.

Please give me a new graphic option to toggle off all particle effects / fire effects so I can play these maps on my laptop. My guild claimed a guild hall last night and my fps was 12 the entire time. (I didn’t realize my guild was doing it until it was too late for me to jump on my pc)

Yes, I know I can buy a new laptop, but I have no problem playing this game at 20-30 fps, but HoT maps have so many visual effects going at all times that fps is becoming unbearable for me to casually play.

Prologue: Rally to Maguuma is still not proceeding/ updating for me. I had finished the first story instance with a guild group (not my instance) and the story never updated for me. I only reached until meeting up with Marjory and Kasmeer then my guild party proceeded to go to the next area. We had finished it properly, but I am the only one that didn’t get an update with regards to the story instance. I’ve been in this situation since launch.

Good evening. Here are some issues I’m having.

- 100% map completion characters don’t gain any chests completing Southsun Cove, Dry Top and Silverwastes. It also happens if you already completed those maps. My other characters have them just fine.
- I have 2 Guilds: one at level 6 and one at level 3. The level 6 one has access to Guild Influence Trader, The other one dont. It’s not stated anywhere that a guild needs to be at level X to get the vendor.
- Some “escort” events are kinda badly designed to work with the “Innactive warning”. The warning happens a LOT because of the lack of enemies around, even if you are inside the event area, moving around, and even healing some escorts. I was even prevented to get the rewards because one of the events in Verdant Brink hasn’t any enemy around for 2 minutes. The warning and the subsequent “disconnect” from the event participation should be for idle players, or if you leave the event area. Not for don’t hitting a single enemy for 2 minutes. Like I said, this happens a lot more than it should and interferes with chat and rewards.

My guild is currently experiencing an issue after claiming The Lost Precipice. We can only get 4 or 5 members into the guild hall and anyone else trying to get in receives the “World you are trying to join is full” message. Very problematic as we just claimed it and we have a lot of excited people who want to explore and are unable to.

Another issue with guild halls. When I try to access any of the upgrade menus, such as the treasury, I can’t interact with it at all. I can’t deposit any materials or even scroll. I’ve only seen a couple of other posts about it and no one else in my guild seems to have this issue, so I’m not sure how widespread it is.

Continuing my earlier post. I have now dowloaded well over 15gb total. The last ~8000 file remaining have cause me to download up to 2gb worth while remaining at 0%. I have repaired, deleted local, and even uninstalled McAfee. I have downloaded at least 1gb or more 5+ times and it remains 0%. To further test theories i had i repeatedly launched and closed gw2 launcher as i noticed each time the remaining files decrease by 2-3. While this is amusing, i do not wish to have to open and relaunch another 3000+ times. Clearly there is an error with my client acknowledging what data it already has. Please look into this as i have been unable to play since launch. I have tried but once in game i get multiple disconnects as well as the cutscene for the prologue being missing, causing it to freeze.

But the actual merchant says “10 proofs + 50 badges”. So which one is the correct one?

Game crashed whenever I click on a World Chest Reward

Completed Torn from the Sky, went to leave the instance and the game crashed. Now it’s glitched and I’m stuck in the prologue instance.

I completed ‘Torn from the Sky’ and exited to Silverwastes instead of Verdant Brink. I was then blocked from entering Verdant Brink on that character. No waypoint, and when I tried to enter from Amber Sandfall, a message popped up saying I needed glider mastery to continue the story.
I was able to get in eventually by completing the story on a different character and earning glider mastery on her. Looking back, replaying “torn from the sky” would likely work, too, but it’s still an annoying problem.

EDIT: replaying the story is not an option. The player in the thread above does not have another level 80 character and is locked out of Verdant Brink.

Gravedigger goes on cooldown even though I hit enemies with less than 50 percent health or is in down state in pvp. Been happening all day. =/

I cannot interact with the upgrading panels for the guild or the guild tavern npc to donate mats to upgrade. I also couldn’t start the guild hall mission, I am the guild leader and had all the required funds. I ended up having another guildie start the mission. I am having to mail all upgrade items to other guildies in order to add mats to the upgrade queue. The buttons are available but they do not activate when I try to add mats and the scroll bars do not work.

My wife is having the same problem, we are both using Macs, so not sure if other Mac users are having the same issue.

Stuck at rank 1 mastery it seems, my 2 guildies who i team up with for most events have run the same events with me since the start and have aquired ranks but i am stuck at 1 and cannot do anything – not sure why maybe im just not understanding something

also always crashing every 30 mins or so only in verdant brink

I recieved this green meta chest yesterday. (see attached picture just above the mini map) Whenever I click on it my game crashes. I have sent in multiple bug reports and crash reports. I would like to get that chest and not crash my game!

Buried Insight – story mission

Hey , I have done this mission a few times up to the bit were you have o kill the Chak Blitzer and then the NPCs just stand still and it says “find the elder Dragon research”
either i am blind and cant see it but not sure there is no indication what to do and i cant find much info about what to do.

someone said there is meant to be a cutscene and it bugs out?

any ideas on fixes or do i keep trying till it works?

Update – for some reason fighting the chak blitzer the game doesnt like condi builds when i switched to zerker after someone saying to try it worked it when invul and wonder off and cutscene appeared. i guess condi ticks over and bugs
