Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?
Race: Sylvari

Class: Necromancer
Equipment:
Flame Legion Mask
Corrupted Orrian Mantle
Corrupted Orrian Vestments
Flame Legion Gloves
Flame Leg Guards
Flame Legion Shoes
(all from dungeon vendors)
The error here is either in the Corrupted Orrian Vestments or the Flame Leg Guards. At the part where the two pieces of equipment connect at the waist, there is a gaping hole.
Armor art issues:
Race: Human

The Order of Whispers Leggings clips severely on uneven terrain and/or on inclines (typically when one foot is placed higher than the other).
Weapon art issue:

The Ascended Focus when stowed the handle is embed in the characters leg.

Just wanted to expand upon this post, the gloves have been bugging me a lot and so I’ve taken the liberty of doing a few tests with ’em! :P

Problem: In general, the top part of the fabric that covers the back of the hand is properly textured, while the lower half that covers the hand seems to take some of the texture from the chestpiece worn.
+Exalted Coat -> Leathery texture, like the normal chest cover (No.1)
+Feathered Vestments -> Feather material (No.2)
+Masquerade Raiments + Acolyte Coat + No coat worn -> Works! Seems to break when the forearm part of the glove is removed by the chestpiece. (No.3)
It also seems to take dye from the main dye slot on the chest. (No.4)

This happened to my character after the patch on 8/20/2013. The character model gets spikes sticking out from the back and arms of the character model. The issue only occurs when using the Vigil coat and no other.
I dunno, I see alot of clipping issues people are bringing up, tho I see this as much more severe since the whole character model gets screwed up and have been so for a month making the whole character look ugly. And since I see clipping issues being brought up that have been in since launch and haven’t been adjusted yet I get a bit worried that this is something that ain’t gonna get fixed within a year.

Your issue has also been reported by many others, so it isn’t just happening for you and isn’t related to a graphics driver issue or anything.
Here’s one report of it, and another, which also has links to other reports of the issue.
You’re right, I would think this would have been addressed by now, just as the pair of pants that had an extra glove floating next to it was addressed. Shouldn’t be more than a minute or two to adjust the nodes for this chest piece on the charr model. The time it takes to get a cup of coffee or use the bathroom could instead be used to fix this Order Armor regardless of where it is on the ‘priority’ list.

Description: Medium male Priory Boots (bought from armor guy at Durmand Priory, transmuted to crafted exotics) have large portions, which are non-dyeable. These spots are plain red, regardless of the used dye color. I used different dyes on my screenshots to show the spots better. The problem happens in hero screen as well as on the character model ingame.
Also, the side toes clip out, but I guess that can’t be fixed.
Everything was alright when i bought the boots a while ago. It broke in an update some time ago, I’m pretty late with reporting it…hope it can be fixed in a future patch!

Would you try to use Dye Remover on all parts of the item and save the changes and close your Hero panel and see if it fixes it. You should then be able to go back in and dye to your liking.
If that does not work, could you try un-equipping all other armor items and then trying to use Dye Remover on the item. These methods have helped resolve the ‘undyeable after transmutation’ issue for others in the past.

Thanks for your suggestion, I am now a naked asura (with blue underpants), but unfortunately, still with red shoe tips.
I then tried to preview Priory Boots at the PVP Locker, these have the problem as well.
I asked another player to confirm the problem to see if it is only on my client, but he also sees red shoes.

Ah. Sorry to hear that. I was hoping it was only the ‘transmute makes undyeable’ bug and not a ‘red undyeable shoes’ issue reminiscent of the ‘Order of Whispers Red Daggers’ issue.
:\
I hope this can be addressed quickly. Seems the Order Armors have a frequent issue of having issues.

Subject: Bald spots with the new female norn “Lagertha” hairstyle.

There are some bald spots showing where the hair seems to be disappearing into the head. This only appears when the character has drawn her weapon as you can see in the screenshots below. When the weapon is sheathed the issue is gone.
I tried different stances/weapons and all have te same issue.

There is a texture problem with my Sorcerer’s Shoes while wearing the Vigil Leggings. Then I tried several other boots on and it seems to be that most of the long boots have this kind of problem.(Zhed’s boots, Ascalonian Shoes) so I thought it was caused by the Vigil Leggings.

Yea, my fused dagger is inside my knee. Any off-hand weapon will be inside your left knee. People that wield Howler on their female Norn have reported this for months and months. Most of the time, they can’t see their legendary because it’s inside their leg.

Issue: Armor – Vigil Mask
The medium-armor Vigil Mask clips into my thief’s forehead, which I attempted to remedy with a Total Makeover Kit. It worked, but in order to do so I had to set his brow thickness and eyebrow placement quite low on the scales, which made him look like a bit of a thug if I hid the mask. Now I’m puzzling with another makeover kit to try making him look a bit more affable, but the Vigil Mask doesn’t offer much wiggle room.
Here’s a shot of my eyebrows eating the Mask!
EDIT: This seems to largely be a problem with my thief’s current face, which is the topmost left at creation. Checking other faces, they seem to be fine with any brow changes!

Issue: Dislocated camera after using a makeover kit.
Description of the Issue: I have recently used a makeover kit (3 days ago). Just before that, I had the camera fully zoomed in at my character. I shortened her height, changed her complexion, eye color, hairstyle and hair color. After making the changes, the camera was still set on her previous height and relogging did not fix the issue.
Attached are screenshots of my character, zoomed in (front and back), and a fully zoomed out camera from 2 different angles, which didn’t seem to be right (as if she were at a world boss event).

Rox’s Quiver
I know that the problem with positioning is hard to correct. But this is a little too, I think. Quiver hovers in the air combined with almost all of armor. Even with the most wide, such as orrian. In my opinion it is better if it is a little “sink” in the character’s model, rather than hang in the quarter of a meter away from him.

Weapon and armor effects issue (glowing items + invisibility effect)

-Glowing items + invisibility effects (in my case: Fractal Hammer and Radiant Vambraces)
As you can see on 1st screenshot, both glowing gloves and hammer have transparent squares instead of item texture when character is invisible. it happens to with every kind of invisibility – mesmer, thief, combofields, even food that makes you ghost-like.

Equipment: Aqua breather, Resilient Krytan Spear. The only thing relevant here is probably that no chest armor is equipped.

Problem description: Taking a swim in Lake Delavan, my character does not want to be dragged down by all that heavy armor. That spear is heavy enough, thank you. However, when underwater, the breasts deattach from the chest. It looks like the character has attached two coconut halves to the chest. This effect is most pronounced when not in combat.

Issue: Charr Tail clips through Chiroptophobia Greatsword Skin
The tail clips through the center of the sword, it is much worse for this sword than any others I have seen, most just clip around the edge. It is also really noticeable when running on all fours.
I have attached a screenshot of both the problem and the Jade weapon skin for reference. As a recommendation, maybe the Chiroptophobia sword could just be worn at more of an angle so that the tail doesn’t clip through as much?
I was really excited to finally get this sword, and then really disappointed by the amount of clipping.
The last screenshot shown is my Jade Sword, which does not clip nearly as much. You can see that the position of the sword from the tail is much further away.
Charr Engineer (male) fire-animation bug
Charr racial utility skill [Hidden Pistol] unlocks the Toolbelt ability [Hidden Pistols]
The animation for that ability is incorrect as the pistols are held upward and not forward.

Description: Chest piece chops long gloves.
The gloves issue has been reported for Charr and Asura, adding my Norn to it.
Here you may see that a TA chest piece (white) is chopping off the CoF gloves (purple) to be wrist-and-bellow only. This bug also happens with Radiant gloves, or any long gloves for that matter.
This bug is relatively new to me (past 2 months?), and before it the gloves would render correctly from fingertips to just below elbow, as they were designed.
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Profession: Warrior and Guardian
Armor Set: All items sharing the same model as the Mighty Chain Legs
Description: They seem to lack a connecting line when paired with other items. With no chest piece equipped, they’re fine, but when you equip a chest piece, there’s a line between the top half of the body and the bottom half as if you’re… well… cut in half! It’s a bit disturbing. Wouldn’t bother me so much if it wasn’t so obvious when you ran.
I believe the problem is the fact this model actually sits lower on the waist than the rest of the pants. It probably wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the fact for the first 30ish levels, there’s 3 different models of pants and this one is the most common of the three.

Probably has been reported before, but this glitch has been in the game since I started playing a few months back and hasn’t been fixed yet. The pants cut through the boots on the side and on the back of the legs. I absolutely LOVE the combo of Flame Legion boots and Nightmare pants, so I was kinda bummed when I noticed this ugly “hole” in my boots.
Oh, so tis thread exists. Here’s a “few”, some might be repeats.
1. Asura, Male, Light
Issue: Tier 3 chest piece Savant Coat. The “included” shoulders warp along the movements of the metal part of the right arm, most notable in extreme angles. Pretty severe. See fig 1.
2. Asura, Male, Light
Issue: Tier 3 chest piece Savant Coat. Certain combat stances makes the weapon clip through the metal part, it would be solved by having the part rotate along the arm (not only the hand rotates). Pretty minor. See fig2.
3. Human, Female body 2, Medium
Issue: Deuelist Pants (random exotic drop, bought of tp) and Whispers Boots clips in such a way that part of the pants “bulge” out of the boots. Moderate issue. See fig3, colored for your benefit.
4. Human, Female, Medium
Issue: Tier 3 chest piece Assassin’s Coat. In combat knives on sides bend horribly. This could be due to lowered graphics settings (animation). Moderate to Severe. See fig4.
5. Charr, Male body 2, Medium
Issue: Temple Karma Exotic Whispering Shoulderpads. This seems to clip through a good deal of coats, at least both I own, Rascal Coat and Whispering Coat. Moderate, considering all the other problems with Charr I’ll live. See figs 5 and 6, colored for your benefit.
6. Norn, Female body 1, Heavy
Issue: Tier 2 boots Eagle Greaves and Vigil Leggings. Clips through each other just like issue 3. Moderate. See fig 7.
7. Norn, Male, Heavy
Issue: WvW skin Pit Fighter Skirt. Unless I stand on a perfectly flat surface my leg(s) will clip through it. Moderate issue. See fig 8.

I currently have a lvl 41 norn guardian, this character has a greatsword for his first weapon set, a sword and torch for the second. The shield goes inside the hand in all cases. As it clips so heavily in the arm, it usually goes through the pauldrons and backpiece, which is rather rare. It also tends to sink into the users back when sheathed.

The coat is completely broken, it makes every single possible combination of pauldrons, including the Tier 3 one, disappear. It makes the neck piece expand over it’s limits. Even one of your main characters, Zojja, has this problem ingame and cutscenes.
I seriously hope this thread is being watched because this glitch in particular is terrible and goes about affecting even the cutscenes with zojja.
