Problem: I created my guild but i am unable to do anything besides creating new ranks. I can’t edit ranks and the max member count is 1. I can’t use influence point for upgrades and i can’t upgrade the max member count.
So i’m stuck with a guild with no options and i have already used influence “scrolls”. Well the “scrolls” are the only things that worked. 1400 Points for nothing.

Guildleader (me) only has permission to “Edit Ranks” everything else is greyed out and can’t be selected.

I can create and delete ranks but that’s it.

- Edit MOTD (Edit button grey)
- Start upgrades for the guild. (Add button grey)
- Promote, demote or kick people (option doesn’t even appear anywhere)
- actually edit ranks (the other ranks have all options greyed just as mine)

I have created my guild almost 2 weeks ago, and still have no permissions to do anything.
I can just invite other members.
I can “edit ranks” but that doesn’t help anything, cause nothing can be edited.
As it turnes out, many people are having this problem, so how about fixing it already?

I created the guild approximately 2-3 weeks ago and am still unable to do anything, but change rank names and invite members. I cannot assign ranks, upgrade the guild or do anything a leader should be able to. The guild has 3990 influence at the time of writing and we would be disappointed if our hard work would go down the drain due to a bug.

It is clear that many guild leaders are facing the same problem. We would appreciate it if you could fix this issue as soon as possible.

I have had 0 permissions in my guild for 3 weeks now, and there is no sign of Anet ever fixing this stupid problem.

I am having trouble doing any edits to guild ranks, MOTD, all i can do is invite people and I am the guild’s leader.

I am only member in the guild and made it for the bank space. Bought “Research Architecture Level 1” last week and now I have finally saved 1000 points for a bank I no longer have Architecture level 1, and the points are still gone so am unable to build the bank.

Unable to change ranks privlages or upgrades or change the message of the day and I am the guild leader.

For some reason my guild banners are not activating, along with any of my other upgrades. i relogged and it is still not working

I am having the same issues as all of the posters above me. The only difference is that I CAN promote and demote my guild members and I CANNOT hit represent anymore. I chose to stand down from the guild that I created to see if I could just re-represent it on my main in hopes of fixing it and to no avail I am no longer representing my guild on my main. I will say that my alts are unaffected by this bug. I can still access everything the guild tab has to offer via an alt so I am not completely in the red. However, seeing as this is a bug and I felt the need to report it I can kind of breakdown the events that led up to this happening.

The day before I lost control of my guild on my main I was re-working our guild ranking system for example I was adding new ranks as well as removing old ranks and configuring what each rank could do. I was also testing a theory that me and my co-gm were trying to figure out. At the time I did not know that by hitting, “Admin. Lower Ranks” would allow other guild members to invite. So to test this theory I demoted myself (because my co-gm cannot) and asked him to re-promote me as GM after I had tested this out. All ended well we gained knowledge and everything seemed unaffected. The next day is when this issue occurred. I do not know if it has anything to do with what I just explained but hey any information on a bug issue is better than none.

Now I am just waiting on a fix A-Net. No rush. You guys will get to it eventually.

Created guild with a friend and do not have access to any permissions other than “edit rank”

As guild leader, I cannot promote, spend influence, or otherwise alter the guild at all. Having had a guild member spend a tome of influence, there’s the obvious concern that we’re completely unable to spend it on guild upgrades.

I can’t edit any of my guild’s ranks or their permissions. I am one of the guild’s leaders.
I’ve heard other people are having a similar problem, I hope you guys can fix this soon, as we would rather not disband and make a new guild.

The guild treasure trove, stash, and deep cave are showing up as built.

However the NPC in Lion’s Arch and WvW maps are saying that the guild bank has not been built yet.

I was able to access these things yesterday, but not today.

Issue: Last night 25.9 I queued 2 upgrades for the guild and when I came online this morning the upgrades were gone and influence too. I don’t know if it’s a graphical bug or if the influence is really gone for ever. Can you check it some time please.

Guild Members no longer gaining guild influence for completing Events!!!!!

As an officer of a small guild I can easily keep track of our guild influence. 5 members, 10 characters; all are representing the guild. It is very important to us to get as much influence as possible; so my guild members tend to group up and run daily’s together. The other night four of us were in group, in the same instance, doing the same event. Only 20 influence was added. As I understand it, it should be +10 per character per same event completion or is it capped at 20? (I will upload screenshots this weekend.)

Tonight there were two of use in group, our influence at the start of the night was 402. We completed three events together and two separately for what should have been a total of 68 influence. We gained NOTHING!!! Still stuck at 402.

I have reported a flaw with your Influence accounting program before, via ticket, and was subsequently blown off. I also reported via in-game bug report. Please fix.

To the player community, can any one else confirm similar problems of being in groups for events and not having appropriate influence awarded?

I spent about two hours character jumping in order to screenshot the events vs influence gained. See the results.

Any update on guilds transferring servers and not losing all upgrades?

My issue is similar with Saxo.3106
I have a small personal guild with just family and friend.
I queued up guild bank to be built two days ago. Right now, my build queue is empty, but the bank is not built, and the influence is gone. There is no record of the guild bank completing in the guild upgrade history, while there is for the completion of guild architecture 1 and 2. The build and influence simply vanished.

i am yet another person who has permissions to use the guild bank, yet i am told by the npc i am not in a guild. for a while, i was even unable to represent my guild after trying to stand down then re represent, hoping that would fix my guild bank problem. thankfully that changed about 7 hrs later. still unable to access the bank however.

I am unable to switch guild representation on certain maps.

For example I was in Cursed Shore and when I clicked on represent, nothing happens. Also, I don’t see any active build queue upgrades even tho they are being built.

So I switched to the Mists and behold, I am able to switch guilds and manage upgrades.

Why is this constantly happening? Are different maps hosted on different servers and some don’t have a connection to the “guild server” or what exactly is going on?

I’m the guild leader and I can’t access my guild bank, the guild promoter, the armor smith or the weapon smith in certain cities. Also I can’t purchase upgrades sometimes and can’t view the ones in progress.

I am unable to represent any guild on my guilds list on one of my characters named Crookshankz on the server Devona’s Rest. I am able to represent on all of my other characters. I have no idea what is different other than the fact that it is level 80. The main guild I am concerned with is Player Versus Everything (PVE). It is just my brother and I but I would like to be able to accrue influence for us. I hope this issue gets resolved swiftly.

Hi, my character ‘Kindori Ironborn’ on the northern shiverpeaks severs is guild leader of ‘the stalwart brotherhood.’ As of the most recent patch, I seem to have lost the ability make changes in my guild. I am actively representing the guild. I am unable to promote members or change ranks. When I try to access the guild bank, the NPC states that we have not purchased a guild bank although guild stash does still show up on my guild panel. I also bought 4 x “drinks on the house” last PM yet no influence was added to my guild. Thanks in advance.

I made a guild with some friends, and I have the influence to start working on upgrades, but the ADD button under the upgrade is grey’d out and won’t let me select it. And now still I can’t promote members of the guild to higher ranks or edit the permissions of the individual ranks. I can make new ranks, but that is the only thing I can do as a Guild leader. I’m even suprised I can invite new members to the guild.

So today I swapped from one guild to another to make upgrades (both are mine) and found myself unable to represent any the moment I stepped down. Every other character seems to be working fine and if I try to make a new guild on this particular character – she is able to stand down and re-represent again easily. Just none of the other guilds.

Guild system is still broken (has been since before release) and this is very frustrating.

1. I (Leader) cannot edit ranks – each time I do I get Network error. Please check your Internet connection and try again. (Code=1022:5:1:825:101) and goes to character screen.
2. I cannot build Guild Emblem – Guild Registrar says I am not in Guild – yet I can see everything. I clicked Stand Down, then ported out of main area, and clicked Represent – after making sure none of my other chars were Representing.
3. I spent over 30 copper porting back and forth into and out of main city, since many of the functions do not work (including Represent). I even logged out of game and back in several times and over several days. Still not working
4. I cannot get access to our Guild Vault – because it says I am not in Guild. (and yes, we did both Upgrades and other players in Guild can see and access the Guild bank, I as leader should be the only one who can access and change Guild Emblem.)
4. This guild was created by me before Release, and rebuilt during early release. Has been trouble from day one, and I cannot do the things I need to do to manage.

Managing a Guild should not be this difficult, and was not in GW. Fix this please. I need to get our Guild emblem set.

Update: After unsuccessfully trying in Lion’s Arch and Divinities Reach – I was able to update the Guild Emblem in the Norn home city. So, the problem seems to be specific areas of the map, and its hit-or-miss to find out which ones work and which ones do not.

After two updates, and a large number of weeks, the issue I have been having with my guild has seen little to no attention from the devs, that anyone outside the studio knows about. As it stands, I’ve got one of my guildies telling me I should simply leave the server in the hopes that the guild has fixed permissions on another server. I will not abandon my now over 1300 influence, gained with no items used. This is a small guild, of 5 people including myself, so this is not a small amount.

My permissions are still empty, and my guild is sitting stagnant because of it. With a name like “Guild Wars,” you would expect the titular feature to work as advertised, but it seems I was mistaken in buying copies for my friends.

My guild is small at the moment, myself and one other with me as the leader. After getting the gems to be able to make my 8th character (one for each class) I then attempted to represent the guild as I did for the others and was unable to do so, button seems to do nothing, the other 7 before this worked fine. That was last night sept. 15th. This morning I attempted the leave guild option thinking something must be bugged, I figured I could get my friend to invite me on the alt, but little did I guess it would make ALL characters leave the guild. Now I will be waiting until he is off work tonight to hope he can re-invite me and pass me lead.

It would have been nice if there was more then the are you sure you want to leave XXXX guild, something along the lines of WARNING this will make ALL characters leave XXXX guild. something like that would have been nice and stooped me from trying to leave in the first place and only left me with the problem of not being able to represent on one character to get solved.

1. Finished the guild vault, myself, my officers, and members cannot access it stating they are not in a guild.
2. Guild armorer contract is down (yet again stating not in a guild).
3. New members cannot represent the guild.
4. On a joking note guild halls aren’t back yet. =)
It’s quiet frustrating when your new members cant represent the guild feeling not welcomed, also upgrades that our guild has worked rigorously to provide to everyone cannot be used. Please fix these bugs!

Guild controls are STILL BROKEN. As guild leader, I can’t do these simple things:

Purchase upgrades for the guild (emblem, bank, etc.)
Promote members
Modify rank privileges
Modify Message of the Day

This is GUILD Wars. Why are so many guilds broken & it isn’t getting fixed (or at least being addressed)? I realize there’s no subscription, but seriously… this isn’t right.

Pretty sure Arian means the computer glitch caused the double post, not the problem he was describing. I’m having the exact same problem trying to access the guild bank on Tarnished Coast (different guild, than the above poster, though). Just noticed it today, but I hadn’t visited the guild bank in a few days.

This post is in response to what I believe is a major design oversight and will continue to cause massive problems in the future. I call it a design oversight since it has been stated by several CS reps as being “working as intended” and “no plans to change in the future”.

That is the inability to replace lost items/currency/characters and lack of warnings on what will cause the loss of large amounts of currency (gold/inf/karma). I’ll state for the record this post is a direct result of my guild losing 2500 inf due to an upgrade that was canceled and the full amount was not refunded and our dealings with CS as a result of it. We were researching an upgrade and someone accidentally clicked speed up to get it done faster, realized their mistake, canceled it, and instead of being refunded the entire amount was only refunded the cost of the original upgrade. In a small (~20 members) guild this is nearly 2 weeks influence lost as a result of what should be considered a bug. Despite several communications with CS (see above) we are still out 2500inf and told to suck it up.

There is no warning or confirmation box on the speed-up option that informs you that if the upgrade is canceled you will lose the 2500inf for the speed-up (which was more than twice the original upgrade). This needs to be made abundantly clear in the guild options or it needs to be refunded because in the future this will be increasingly more common and a bigger problem. We were also informed that there is no way for any CS or dev to add back currency, items, etc even if they wanted to. Are you kidding me? What MMO does not have an ability to replace lost items, especially when the loss is clearly documented in the guild log? This is further evidenced by the fact that if you lose a character to a hack you are only getting a roll-back and not full replacement. In many cases you aren’t getting your characters back. This has been stated to be something that is being worked on. So which is it? Is the inability to replace lost/stolen/error permanent or is it going to be available in the near future? Because this appears to be mixed messages.

The CS reps compared this to someone selling a valuable item in error or having second thoughts. This is a completely flawed argument for several reason. The first being that selling an item in error only affects one person and the second being there is a buyback option to prevent this error when selling to vendors. Further invalidating the argument that this is working as intended is that fact that when you cancel an upgrade you are refunded the price of the upgrade. So if the original amount can be refunded why not the full price that was spent on the whole upgrade? Which leads me to believe this is indeed a bug that CS doesn’t want to admit/deal with. Especially considering that the influence from Tomes of Influence that has been lost to a bug is being replaced with new Tomes.

This bring me to my final point. As more and more people start reaching 80 and losing high leveled characters and gear to hackers the inability to refund lost items and currency is going to be a source of more and more rage. Also, this whole thing has exposed a very serious error in guild management. What is to stop the first POed guild officer with upgrade privileges and an axe to grind from completely obliterating all of the banked influence of an entire guild by exploiting this bug? This either needs to be fixed or the influence need to be refunded, because this is going to continue to happen in the future and the rate is only going to increase.

I am not going to threaten to quit, I am not going to threaten to bad-mouth the game to others, what I am going to say is that at this point, I will be far less likely to spend any cash on the gem store and the same can be said for my guildies. It is going to cost the equiv of $25 to replace the lost influence, which beyond that I wont purchase anything with real money since there are no mechanisms in place to replace in-game items and currency purchased with real money if they are lost to a bug or hacking. This whole situation could have been easily rectified, but instead we are told in effect to “too bad, suck it up”. This is not how you should be treating customers if you want them to keep spending money on your product.

Cannot see what the guild is researching when i log in as one of my other alts, nor can i amend what is being researched with my other alts even thou i am the 2nd in command in guild and have the correct privs.

We have transfered a few times and each time we moved we lost all of our upgrade points. Is this intended or not? We’ve built it up a few times on various servers like Borliss Pass and Northern Shiverpeaks and we are now back on Blackgate where we started. All in all i figure it’s somewhere around 4-5k influence we are missing or more

Following the latest patch on 9/25 we have lost every non-permanent upgrade that was built.
Upgrades that disappeared:

5% Influence for 24 hrs
10% Influence from events
10% PvP Influence for 24 hours
WvW Fort +5 Supply

Additionally, the upgrade that was queued to build yesterday – 10% Magic Find for 3 days – has now disappeared. No influence was refunded for the incomplete upgrade nor was any given for the upgrades that were already completed. This is a total of 1100 influence now lost. This is an extremely expensive issue for a guild of only 20 people and we would like some sort of resolution.
