Ok it just stopped working again …

Ya was working fine with a bit lagg so i decided to log in again and boom workaround not working anymore.. Maybe it is full?? Though i tried all 3 mentioned same result..

Fix this problem please,

i used the work around and got 2 more dishonours …. i am at 45 minutes waiting now. THANK YOU FOR THE WORK AROUND THAT DOESN’T WORK…

I used Gw2.exe" -authsrv 54.89.152.137 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 and it works <FL NA

Bump! i also played last night and today morning i cant even log in to game cuz it wont let me in cuz of connection error retrying msg.

Temp Workaround:
(This will not work for everyone)

As a temporary bypass add -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 to your Gw2 Shortcut in the Target Section (you will want to clear this out at a later date)

64.25.41.3, 64.25.41.4 may also work

Works for me. Might be hard for some to figure it out so I will give a brief “how to” :

- copy this from here: -assetsrv 64.25.41.2
- go to your GW2 folder
-find your GW2.exe (or GW2 -64. exe)
- make a link from the *.exe to your desktop
- go to your desktop, find the link and open its properties
- paste the -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 behind the exe
- looks like this: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe” -assetsrv 64.25.41.4

Now start the game from that link on your desktop. Enjoy )

None of the temporary solutions worked for me. I wonder why the hell is it that connectivity has been having so many issues. I preferred that error when characters were saying random lines, even with not their voices. Kinda creepy ;d

I got bored and decided to experiment with buckets of lava and a Minecraft village

the -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 worked for me as said before you just add it in behind the last "sign open properties of shortcut to get to target area and there you copy paste it behind last " sign you need to add space between them as well so it worked

I find it funny that so many people are trying to find a work-around for what seems to be a DDOS attack (which generally hits many of the servers) and complaining that it it still goes down. I would just give up for the time being and let ANET resolve the problem. Go outside, get some fresh air, watch some movies, go to bed…something.

Slamming the login servers constantly, watching “connection error” on the loader, or complaining “IT STILL DOES NOT WORK!” over and over, wont get them to resolve the issue any faster lol. Go enjoy life, lord knows we don’t need to be logged on every nanosecond.

what’s DDOS attack really mean?, can you be more specific if you know what happened? i am curious. Thanks.

Hi, after the recent update, I could not be kitten d exiting the game as intended a late night. Shutting of via power button.. and to think I am studying engineering.

Anyways. Now I am experiencing the “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” constantly.
Have tried most of the solutions assigning: DNS, flusing ip, resetting even uninstalling game (lols) etc.
Any other solutions i should try to my particular problem?

well, i wish i had visited here before i uninstalled to try an download again….I guess now is a good time to play the steam games i bought…. lol

I just have this problem just right after Windows 10 force me to update when i restarting my computer. I try various way and also uninstall the game. Now i can’t event reinstall it back.

The game is broken it seems.

It was fine last night when I was on, not sure what happened since then.

How big is update meant to be ? I used the temp fix and now its downloading 2738 files and on 50 mb its only on 1 % i unfortunately dont have uncapped so im kinda worried is it mean to be this big also if i delete the extra i added on the back it still continues with the huge update

I did the same thing though along with all the other possible “fixes” and then just said F-it uninstalled and well here we are….LOL

I do not understand that somebody writes that the client is normal but still nothing

The client now connect for me but doesnt let me log on yet:
Build: 79243
Error Code: 58:11:1:800

Did same daft thing with uninstalling the game and now trying to reinstall am still getting the error.
Am with Virgin Media in the UK. Anyone else with this ISP having issues still?

I am getting: “Download failed, check your internet connection and try again. (3)”

And now four hours later I am still waiting for them to have done that correction work.
Not even a message about ETA, nothing …

Every time I open GW2 it says “connection errors detected” despite my internet working perfectly. I can open and play other MMORPGs, just not guild wars.

Guild Wars 2 did update last night before I went to bed, I’m wondering if that might be the issue? Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

anet made a patch and allowed it to repair data few mins ago but, now since it has completed the repair connection problems saying (error and retrying )
