what is up with error code 7. i stoped playing for 6 or more months. i come back and its the same thing. i play for amin or two and i get kicked.
It kept happening to me (starting maybe 15 hours ago), but -repair seems to have helped for now.
Never mind; it’s happening again. (Sigh.)

Well, I’m glad to see I’m not the only one periodically crashing the past few days….how about a fix now Anet?
Been non stop since the last patch for me. Any fix for this?
My girlfriend is getting the same issue also (7:11:3:191:101).
Some days are good, other days are horrible. She did log a tech support ticket, but in the end she was told to log a ticket with our ISP.
Can someone please have a look at the diagnostics results and inform us want we should be telling our ISP (apart from her getting packet loss, as this is all we had been told from tech support ticket).

I’m having the same issues for the last 2 weeks. Game is almost unplayable like this. Playing the game over a year now and never had so many DC’s. I expect it to happen sometimes, but not every 5min… I hope someone will do something about it soon.
Did you ever get this resolved? I’m having similar issues and I have a similar tracert starting at hop 4 on yours. Hop 15 on my path (4.69.146.10) seems suspicious and looks very similar to your hop 10. Maybe Level3 is doing something un-kosher here. I e-mailed ANET support and they refused to do anything about it and told me to talk to my ISP. My ISP said everything was fine and I have no problems with other sites. From what I’ve learned, NCsoft has their own AS (AS30588) and they don’t pay Level3 for their connection. They seem to have some sort of peering arrangement with Level3 (http://bgp.he.net/AS30588) so Anet should have clout with Level3 (and anet tech support told me they didn’t have any relationship with level3. Lies!). Maybe they can ping their Level3 contact about it. Good luck trying to motivate your ISP or Anet to do anything about it though. If only I can figure out Level3’s contact info…

Has there been any development on this issue? It started for me a few days ago and happens sporadically but has also happened twice at the same time when the server resets (6PM EST).

Im also getting this message, the lag is also terrbile most noticable in pvp. Been getting this for more than a week.
can someone from arenanet please offer a solution to this. the same thing is happening to me. the game has never lagged or dc’d me since launch, until about a week or two ago, when it has been randomly booting me to the character selection screen. it is completely random, at different times of the day and in different zones. i’ve also been rolled back and lost items, xp, etc. did a fresh install and it did not work. the closest solution on this site that is offered is for a similar error code, and it is suggested that we disable our security firewall? really? I have to compromise my computer’s safety to fix something that has never been a problem for the nearly 2 years i’ve been playing?
something’s up, and i wonder if it has anything to do with the new mega-server… anyway, you’re losing gem-buying customers here! please help!

I just started getting this. No changes to pc or network, no updates (other than game updates) and all of a sudden I am getting this.
Obviously in-game support calls make no difference.
It’s gotten to the stage that I submit a support ticket, get about 10 seconds of the screen freezing, then the game bombs. I log back in and submit a ticket, get about 10 seconds of the screen freezing then the game bombs. Rinse and repeat to your hearts content.
It only affects Guild Wars 2, and it’s only been since the Entanglement Episode 1 was released.
And as an aside, I had to find this thread via Google. Typing 7:11:3:191:101 in the search box gives no results.
I have started getting this error to the point of not being able to play.
I have submitted umpteen in-game “report a bug”, but i feel that trying to high jump into orbit would be more beneficial.
The error only crept in with the release of Entanglemet Episode 1
Oh aye, and I had to find this thread via Google. Almost as if they are not only ignoring it, but hiding the issue

There’s a number of reasons why you could be encountering this issue – the number one cause is network setup or connection based issues. The development team is looking into this matter. There is no need to submit a ticket as the fix will correct this issue for everyone.

Hello. I need help with my GW2 Launcher. As you can see from the topic title, that message appears once I launch the application. It has been a long time since I played GW2 and I decided to replay the game. I have uninstalled and have tried to open the GW2setup.exe but the same message reappears.
I have been having the same problem now since Tuesday. My internet etc is all running fine, ping is fine, other games are running fine. This problem is related Guild Wars 2 (the website takes ages to load and so does the forum) only by the look of it which makes running dungeons, FOTM and world boss a nightmare to do.

The same thing has been happening to me. I disabled my antivirus, restarted my computer, restarted my modem, set my firewall to low, and enabled all inbound and outbound ports for the application. My friends are using the same internet connection and having no problem. It has been kicking me off every 5 minutes.
I can’t play. It’s unplayable now. I get disconnected with the same error message about every 20 minutes. Try doing you personal story like that. Starting over four times. My isp has verified that everything is fine. NOTHING has changed. This started last night for me and has been going strong. If it continues I will not be able to play anymore.
I have this problem since 7/14. So I submit a ticket for tech support. Support Team said it’s my ISP cause it and I should contact my ISP. I didn’t experience any of this until season 2 released. So I quit. THEY AREN’T GONNA FIX THIS.
That’s true. I also submited a ticket. After doing 7 tests he tells me that it’s my ISP fault even when I see on traceroute that it’s NCSoft. They aren’t gonna fix this.

Do you have any security software currently enabled by chance?
I have the same problem after the recent patch. I already tried with disabeling all my security software but to no avail.
After speaking with Arenanet support they have also told me to talk to my ISP
Same issue. No software enabled.

note: earlier got a huge skill lag i pressed on all F’s and 1-9 and nothing, 5 -10 secs later everything tries to cast at the same time

I have been disconnected over 100 times this week it is driving me insane
Time to just move on to another game, since they all seem to work just fine.
A game that needs you to call your isp to play it, is not worth playing in my book.
I didn’t have this problem until the 2nd build update that was released about 30 mins ago. Now I cannot login.
I deleted GW2.tmp and now I am able to login could have been a coincidence.

Having the same issue aswell. I can’t download the new patch. When I try and start the game up, it says cannot connect, retrying. “Connection(s) Error detected. Retrying…”
I had no issues before hand with firewalling etc..

Same issue here. I was able to play for a few hours last week with “only” occasional disconnects. Since a couple of days it’s unbearable . I can’t even do anything and I get disconnected immediately. Always the same error.

WTH is going on? Called ISP and all is fine on my end. This has been happening since the latest patch last night.
I’ve been getting these 7:11 disconnects for over a month now. They are always preceded by a very long time of frozen game play, sometimes several minutes.
While that is going on, I can still chat in guild and party mode, leave and form parties, and use the TP. Basically, I can still do everything but play. It’s just my connection with the game server that’s wonky. Obviously, my ISP is still routing my traffic both ways or I wouldn’t be chatting and using the TP while looking at a non-responsive game.
I am at a complete loss on how to fix this, I have tried everything. My connection is fine and all other online games work perfectly, but guild wars is so unstable. This only started about a week ago

I’ll ask our Technical Support folks if they have any information to provide on this. I note at least one post saying that he or she had submitted a ticket and was asked to contact the ISP on their end. That may be the answer, but I’ll see if there’s more to share.
