Condi PS is “more chilled” (even if i wouldnt say chilled but w/e) than power if you try to be close to perfection on both, sure cPS has a lot of details that almost everyone in the game are missing but I’d say that’s even worse for power.
Just try to maintain perfect rotation on both and its quite obvious
Sadly it’s not dying, it’s already dead besides for dungeons that are themselves dead.
As stated by other people condi PS does everything better than power, especially in real raids where condi PS do not suffer from anything wheras power loses quite a lot of DPS and even some buffs because of WWA. Even burst wise id say condi will burst more after like 6-7s. For instance condi PS will pull out better DPS everywhere, sometimes up to 50% more damage or even more.
Then cleave wise cPS has access to longbow f1 which is stupidly long range, CC wise with the last balance patch you dont even play headbutt anymore so you are forced to take weapon swap CC, which is so terrible that its never worth, youd lose less grp DPS by getting CCs somewhere else than tacking a power warrior that is tacking mace/shield.
Then cPS has a kitten ton of cripple, has imob, blind, Block, reflect, stability…
So yea sadly power PS has literaly nothing to compete from a PvE perspective

This is already an older project that started after the Trio Vale Guardian but got delayed due to a lack of healing and not enough time to go for it. The new regen based healing druid is definitely a great help for this lowman and Matthias kills in general.
The breakbar value of the sacrifice is 2500, wich makes it hard to break only with 3 players, so we had to use all kind hard CC and soft CC.
This includes Warriors with Shield Bash, Wild Blow, Bull’s Charge, Head Butt, Fear Me and whatever soft CC was available. The Druid used Lunar Impact, both Pets activ, Storm and Stone Spirit activ, Natural Convergence. The Mesmer used Magic Bullet, Gravity Well and if needed his F3 shatter.

While Illusions traitline would have been better for alacrity uptime since he had to use feedback for reflect, he still took Domination traitline for the distortion share during enrage
Druid ran an optimsed regen build for extra sustain, wich is strong enough to carry us through 4 minutes of enrage.

DPS loss would be TERRIBLE, literally horrible.
Same for VG and Sabetha, Sloth sometimes kills you when someone takes the shroom 1-2s before you are in the room which wasn’t the case before
TBH the condi PS numbers are super low as it should be at least 2K higher
Can do almost all fights without a dodge or caring about something if you have competent chronos.

I don’t have the guts to pug dungeons anymore, but I can easily imagine how they look. People have become complete trash. First sign that gives away how bad the group is, is the composition. You often see people playing necros or double/triple warrior and they don’t even care enough to relog to a different class that would be a milion times more useful. They don’t swap weapons outside of combat for mobility and blasts, don’t swap utility skills or traits, don’t even play proper rotations.
Basically it’s impossible to have a decent dungeon run at this point, because everyone capable of pulling that off is not interested in dungeons anymore.
Really? Because my average pug run on my PS is extremely smooth, and only lagging slightly behind speed runs when people actually listen.
And are we seriously going to start with the anti-necro bullkitten?
On a side note, most players are bad at this game. That goes for all games. Why is this still a surprise to anyone?
Sorry but PuGs are slower than 2013 speedruns, and sometimes slower than solos from now…
Well sadly I ‘d say that the game has less than 20 players (and that even might be an overstatement) that still care about dungeons in serious way so unless you somehow make friend with them you’re doomed.
Other alternatives to tactics are defense, which doesn’t have anything useful for dps
Armored Attack: with no additional toughness you still get 100 additional power.
Cleansing Ire indirectly gives you more dps by allowing you to fill adren faster
Cull the Weak is effectively a 1.6% damage boost.Yeah, those are minor and not the best, but they’re still useful. And, I realize I’m being pedantic; sorry.
Arms has some useful things being adrenaline regen, and some minor dps boosts, but not as much as tactics since they are mostly condi based.
I disagree a bit here. Dual Wielding increases your damage by 15% just because you’re attacking 15% faster. Bloodlust is an additional 5% when your enemy is bleeding, and it certainly doesn’t need to be bleeds you apply… the 33% longer can be effectively ignored (but if you want to add bleeds yourself, then roll a charr and use shrapnel mine). Rending Strikes for my build usually keeps up at least 3 stacks of vuln, and I’m not geared in ‘zerk gear. So, if my enemy is bleeding I do roughly +23% dam… that’s more than I get in tactics.

No, attackspeed modifiers doesnt work like that, it will use the max one (quickness) they are usualy garbage.

Since he is speaking about DPS and quickness I assumed he was speaking of PvE, so I answered PvE wise, absolutly 0 thoughts about other game modes in my reply
What people don’t understand is that to put good DPS on GS you root yourself (2 and 5) for qute a bit of time + you need to be able to connect with bladetrail, when axe allows you to freely move way more as your only skill that you have to be carfull of is f1. And at this point axe just needs a rework, we dont need another spam 1 ftw weapon

It allows you to maintain perma fury if used off cd in fight,it procs the signet mastery trait so +100 precision that leads into 14 ferocity while in berserker, it might seems to be low but when you cap the 5 stacks of signet mastery 70 ferocity is no joke, the might is very good aswell and the swiftness is always nice.
Berserker is insanly more DPS than play with discipline, if you want to have the pure DPS you can as warrior play with the berserker trait line instead of discipline with the traits 1-1-1. The cost of berserker is tat you have to leave fast hands so you will camp GS which can be annoying in some situations and you won’t get an fury by using f1 in berserker mode so you will have to swap the signet of might for “for great justice” in order to maintain fury for yourself.
DPS wise berserker is years ahead than the old warrior but you have t sacrifice utility to use it.

Anyways I did some other solo of it and it didn’t occured but still everytime i’m at Alphard i’m scared of it bugging, atm I know 3 of them so kinda painfull to play
Nah the text is normal, i waited 5 min at alphard for people to join while pinging them the way point but they did not joined. We did the path exactly as its intended.
I know dungeons were abandoned but still fixing reset bugs would be appreciate especially since it’s the only PvE content where you can use your brain.
What are you running now? They have always been super easy for me.
Phalanx Strength
Phallanx strenght is a party oriented build which is a terrible idea to run in open world
Replace tactics with arms for more damages running 2-2-2 traits or if you want a safer build by discipline so you get fast hands, 2-3/1-2 traits, In the master trait you can either pick 1 or 3 depending on if you think you will need condi removal (which is almost always better than regen).
Replace your banner of strenght with for great justice and heabutt by signet of rage in order to provide fury all by yourself, note that if you run discipline over arms you will have longer cd on your elite skill leading in less fury and you won’t get adrenaline as fast as with arms making the berserker power trait not proc 100% of the time, you need to compensate that by swaping weapons in order to get adrenaline by weapon swap.

A bug that i noticed today but never heard of/saw in any other places is that she will reset instantly during the fight. Notice that it’s not the same bug as the bug where she first goes invulnerable and walk to the center of the room to reset which is known for years now.
I have a video of the bug hapening twice during the fight :
First at 0:27 and second time at 4:10, you don’t need to watch the rest of the video nothing interesting happens.
As you can think it’s not very fun to play against that.
I have a lot of other Alphard bugs in videos if some people working on bugs are interrested into.

WHAT ? Even the idea of a full underwater raid isn’t as terrible as this.
But where I agree with you is that I feel raids would be good with bosses that are a mix between Lupicus and current raid bosses. While I like the overall mecanics of the rcurrent raid bosses I would like fighting a boss with those party wise organisation + a boss who have a lot of different attacks that I have to dodge a lot.
“Truth” is pretty hard to come by. We can give That said, Herald does what Phalanx Strength/Banner Warrior did, and better. That doesn’t make Warrior any less “powerful” for dungeons and PvE content, but generally speaking, Herald is going to be more desirable to most groups.
No. No. No. This is horrible.
Herald can do the warrior’s job by hurting himself DPS wise and it will still do the job far worse than a warrior, the reason an Herald should pop his might is when it’s a party without someonestacking might/or if there is things that can’t be crited (TA bosses/dredge car…) otherwise I do not recommend using it. Even with that banners are to good to be ignored, 170 precision/ferocity/power/condi damage is huge party wise and herald can’t give the same buffs.
Warrior in PvE is in a very great shape, berserker got us very good DPS and the offensive team buffing is the best in the game.
Herald compete with elementalist most likely or engi when no stealth is needed. Warriors should still be taken in meta groups.

Most of my contacts hate fractals now, the few people I know enjoying them are people who didn’t played PvE before and aren’t past lvl 30 yet.
Sometimes I go to fractals with the LFG system and I discuss with my party, no one from the LFG told me they liked fractal now.
Where did yo usaw that prices went down of 60% ? We are not having the same TP…
Orian accessories, 5g each yea… but who will buy that 5g ? demand is 64silver and the only way to sell it will be to directly sell it. This item are skyrocketing in price but there is no use to buy them, so no one will.
I know he was speaking about dungeons, i was just pointing that fractals aren’t good.
In my opinion the fractals changes are bad overall, instabilities aren’t fun, they either punishing you from goodplays or they are RNG based. The fights are boring and not very intersting. Rewards sucks yes but that’s the last thing I would like to be fixed, having fun content is more important to me than getting rewarded.

First question is, what’s the point of creating a spec focused to healing (druid), have excellent specs focusing on defense (like scrapper) while you keep this braindead – kill ASAP meta?!

How about you make high lvl (75+ so “casuals” don’t complain much) fractals actually challenging where the braindead stacking MAX dps with utilities CAN’T survive it?

Why would I post in in general discussion? I’m just asking why did they lie to us by saying they will make challenging PvE content.The fact that fractals can be completed by zerker and or siniter people means that sooner or later people will again be focused more on the clock rather than the content.
I’m saying that because “elite” group means that skilled players come together to actually beat challenging content. It does not mean that skilled players come together to beat facerolling content 2 seconds faster than the previous “elite” group holding the speed clear record…
I’m curious to know what boss do you corner stack in fractals, this is like the dumbest thing to do and I never saw/thought of it (i wasn’t playing dring the FGS glory days) because this is just a kittened idea.
Corner stacking won’t increase your DPS for most classes (yes warriors can WWA into the wall but that’s not something that you can point as an insane DPS increase party wise, it just takes more time to actually lure the boss to a corner).
As ever I’d liek to say that LOSing (aka corner stacking) is usefull to deal with trash mobs in order to cleave them quickly and moving to a relevent point of the content (relevent content who doesn’t exist anymore by the way).
And please fractals are already to boring at the moment for us moving away from glass canon builds, do you really want to kill a single legendary boss after 40 minutes of fight where it’s that boring that during the fight you Akitten 3 times for eat, toilets, sleeping and then coming back just to see that the fight is still going on with neither of the boss or the party doing damages to the other.
Maybe druid will be good for raids who knows, afterall I belive that they said that berserker meta won’t make it to raids (I don’t know if I really belive it but let’s wait and see, they would surprised me and make up to their claims while making raids fun)
And I’d like to add that besides the beautiful graphics, GW2 is a better MMO than the others combat wise just because of the evades/blocks/reflects/and all this stuff combat. I remember me being so sad back when they annonced GW2 without healing classes when I was playing monk in GW1 because they wanted a game based on active combat and not just a combat system by reaction of healing the guy that takes the hit in the face.
Guess what ? I have been so greatly surprised by how they managed to get the game without an healing class and I never regreted not being a monk healing people in GW2, the current system is way to good.
This combat is the strenght of GW2 PvE and if they take it away it would leave in a massive ragequit of the game (it’s already on the table with how bad state the PvE is at the moment). Not to say that in my opinion HoT have make the gap between a skilled player and an OKish player way thinner that it used to be (mainly for low maning content), I get that Anet doesn’t design the game for full parties so I don’t whine to much about but the break bar has killed immob/cripple/chill and then all the usage we could make from it to get smoother kills.

it really is amazing they straight up selected no dodge and boon on crit, for 20 levels. it actually seems like anet fractal change plan was to mechanically make berserk gear inferior.
Which is fairly stupid in fractals. No single gear set should be punished when gear is a long term goal, especially in fractals where infusions increase gear investment.
Yes that + the ridiculous scale on toughness, I hope Anet stops with this “berserker hate/fear”. So many people are compalining that bosses aren’t fun because we don’t do damges and they don’t do damages to us either even when we are running berserker gear. Now think what it would have been in the past if we wouldn’t have berserkers (or sinister for some professions) parties, the same would have occured : face tanking bosses and taking long time to kill them without any fun or challenge.
I can’t even imagine me running with people not running full glass canon builds right now without leaving the party where I used to not care at all about what my party was running, all of that because it’s already to boring/slow to do with viper/berserker gear…
If they want to make diversity in the gear the way they took is not the right way at all.
I sincerly hope that all of the replies on this subject will be read and that Anet will take the time to think about everything that is said here because it’s one of the only subject of this forum where feedbacks have quality replies.

Here are my thoughts on the new fractals.
Mistlock Instabilities
When they announced each scale would only be 1 island, and that they would be able to better tune the mistlock instabilities this way, I got really excited. I thought each scale would have a unique mistlock which would fundamentally change the way the fractal was played. Oh how wrong I was. The mistlock instabilities are extremely uninspired, RNG-reliant and sometimes even punishing good play (dodging removes boons – really?). They do not feel like a challenge to be overcome, they just feel like an annoyance. For most of them you could not even change your build or tactics to “outplay” the instabilities, you just have to suffer the consequences.
I liked the Fractal Avenger that pops up on 71+ when you down that tries to finish you. This is in my opinion a cool new mechanic that actually gives additional depth to the gameplay instead of just annoying the player with random conditions and boon removal. I want to see more things like the Avenger!
I totaly agree with that, instabilities aren’t fun yet and the fact that bosses are now just a bag of HP not hiting hard at all are making fractals boring to me we lost the depth we had before HoT where evading/blocking was a must for almost every attacks of the boss, instead of the curent state where we can face tank a good part of it.
Something else that decrease the fun of the fight (and here it’s to every PvE content not only fractals) is that cripple/chill/immobilize now is useless because it goes in the break bar, which delete an entire part of the gameplay we had previously.
I used to run them on 3 different scales everyday but now I don’t have fun anymore doing them. Adding the fact that dungeons are void now (friend list and even PuGs) result in the overall PvE experience being worse than it was before.
I hope Anet give some love to balance that, because I don’t see myself staying around very long if nothing change.
From someone who loves the game way to much to stop it this way, please.

When people refer to PvE balance it’s towards dungeon and fractals, if you just speak about open world then you don’t have a party and then yes warrior will do more damages than a thief.
But seriously why would you complain than a class is better on it’s own than another class when the game was designed around party content ?

How do you come up with only a slight increase on the non-phalanx meta build? There are a ton of new damage modifiers for the patch. Berserker’s Power alone is going to be a massive increase to the DPS warrior build.
I think that Nike is talking about a warrior in a full party, so you take the lines in Strenght, arms and tactics, so you don’t take the discipline line.
And what will happen :
Stick and move will be a 7% damage increase, but it has a weird synegy with the energy we gain on burst skills.
Berserker power will be a 5% increase that we will lose by the 5% lost on bloodlust trait
Signet mastery won’t be as good as you think in a party because the elite banner is usefull when the signet of rage doesn’t do anything if the party plays like it should because you will be able to have 25might and 100% fury without the signet of rage.
Deep strike : I don’t think this is a huge dps increase so…
Dual wielding won’t be picked up because you will need furious to get the 100% berserker power uptime, I tried furious 2 days ago and it makes the adrenaline back to 100% as soon as the burst skill is off cd.
Discipline traits aren’t in the meta warrior in a party
But you get an extra 150 power from EA and empower that you didn’t had before.
That’s the point where he said that it’s a small dps increase for a DPS warrior on the live game.
But in a solo you will take Discipline instead of tactics and then you get the nice traits, and the fact that we can spam arcing slice will make a 100% fury uptime for us which I think will allow us to get ride of FGJ to take signet of power and then gain 90 free power from the skill swap and then yes signet mastery and all those nice traits that we don’t take in a full party will make an overall great improve in our DPS.
Those are my thougts on it
