Season 4 Ranked Matchmaking Change

if this match making is like season 1, I don’t know what I have done season 1.
this mmr feels so different to season 1, it feels not like 50/50, it feels even worst as season 2.

this mmr takes the complete fun and makes pvp only frustrating.

there is a reason that numbers of rank symbols in the open world are decreasing from season to season.
but not only the match making system need a rework, the complete league system need one.

the exotic “Mini Enraged Twisted Nightmare” has no longer its original model and animations, e.g. the green poison cloud around his chest.

I had the same experience … with a lvl 19 char at start area of a other race

when the char is scaled to an unfavorable level it is annoying … when the downscale level is a “good one” it is a faceroll

While this is currently working as intended, it’s definitely something that we’ll be working on and tweaking in the future. We want you to be able to enjoy your minis so hang in there!

it works 100% not as intended

in citys like DR or LA near bank, with many players and minis around me (primetime), minis are shown and all is fine

at maps like queensdale, kessex, caledon (and so on) in the middle of nowhere with NO players around me at a time where 99% of the EU player sleep (at 3:00 AM), minis are autohide

this is intended? I don’t think so.

I had the net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED and I solved it by turning off my antivirus program, not sure if this will help agains the net::ERR_NAME_ACCESS_DENIED but it sure is worth a try

same crash for me (only tp not the game) @TP opening … other error report:

have this error on all 3 accounts … even after router and pc restart

no bug …

first achivement is the old one … it works with the collection at bank … that is no more possible

the other achivement is the new one … it works with mini unlock at wardrobe

because the two different systems are not compatible the new achievement ist necessary

(new set2 is higher because in the old one the max achievement was lower than max minis at set2)

patch done … megaserver reaches queensdale …

nobody reacts at my english posts at mapchat with my german client … yay … thx to the default filter

edit: divinity’s reach and gendarran-fields also megaserver

i would say … gw2 map is now 100% megaserver

Well it seems like this is going to be solved now with the new chat option. Thanks for that Anet

nothing is solved … it’s only a compromise solution until a final fix

for example, if i activate the filter i can’t read most information at EotM or at sPvP Solo-Arena because these are in most cases in English

also there are other problems that have nothing to do with the language

This way no matter where you are in the world at least 1 spawn time should be at prime time.

Except that it’s not.

right … EU prime would be 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 CET = 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00 GMT

why the strict 8h between the events … why not (for players from EU)

morning/midday spawn … 10h … evening prime spawn … 6h … night spawn … 8h … morning/midday spawn … and so on

… and why not a complete other system … (my favorite)

why start the big 3 meta-events now an hour earlier … even the previous times were too early for EU

for EU-players with work or children this is a bad decision, many players have at this time no time for gaming

for me it means that I can no longer do the three events from monday to friday

it’s bad if you kill your half API system with the megaservers and now a worse “replacement system” is necessary
addressable megaserver as the districts in gw1, which would work with APIs, would maybe better than the current anonymous megaserver

This really affects rp’ers I guess but that should encourage them to go meet other rp’ers who they are merged onto the same map with. Otherwise I like it a lot. The areas ive seen it affect, like major cities, looks really awesome

you read the rp thread?
not even the rp’ers from TC are at one map … how to find new rp’ers if they do not even find themselves … and all their rp-spots are blockt with no-rp’ers … they have much more problems as only the full chat

the EU rp’ers from piken, drakkar [de] and … have much more “fun” with the language mix

I think the community also needs to be more tolerant of each other on that regard. There should be no flaming of “Wrong Language”.

This.Will.Not.Work. It has never, does not now and will never. That’s just how people are. I am native german, have worked in a UK company in the UK, I can understand and talk dutch as well, but I have chosen a german server for a reason. I wanted to have the comfort of “being at home” when playing this game in the evening after a days work. A lot of ppl I know share this feeling. They will not feel at home any more if this stays as it is.

This will break the game in Europe.

of course there should be no flame because of the “wrong” language … because there is no “wrong” language … but say that to the kitten at the maps

many players lose their “comfort zone” in a language mix system, and they do not want it at a game

as the “copied mapchat” of snow shows … chaos … much makes no sense … and yes there are more languages at the mapchat as the 4 supported of GW2

Reason why I am and thinking separate the non-English languages and mix English and non-English is there is a much higher Probability that someone reads/writes a non-English language and English then two non-English languages.

the thought is basically correct … at least in germany, the most widely spoken foreign language should be english …
but there are still many who do not speak english … in france and spain could it be even many more

also 2 languages doesn’t work at one mapchat, in the history you can see it at overflow servers … too much flame because of the “wrong” language … and at the end all speak english or remain silent …

in the EU all states have their own identity, their own language … most players want to talk in a game after work no other language than their own, even if they could (like me) …
the players who want it, have already chosen an international homeserver (or i guest at a international server when i want to chat in english)

so no, that would not work well

It’s better than having just 20 people or so for the event. And furthermore, if you ended up in a map with a lot of non english speaking people, you allways could try to speak to them via the other language channels (or the english channel) and could try to do the event, not as easy as having all the people in your teamspeak or mumble server, but…

I have participated in multilingual trys to kill the 3 headed worm … it’s exhausting, extra stress and kills the fun … belive me

and if there are not enough players in their own language, you can still consciously guest on an international server

you don’t understand the problem Hannelore …
maybe because you not play at a EU server … its horrible at the moment with the chaos of languages … the system with all supported languages at one map dosn’t work at EU

and yes … most of eu players would chose a empty map with only players of their language instead of a full map with language mix

I think that a general chat in each language would be a pretty good solution, One “map chat” per language and each one could select to read/write in whatever channel as they see fit.

it is not a good solution …

try to kill the 3 headed worm or tequatl with 4 different map chats at one map

then you have 4 groups of players at the map … each of them has not enough players for a successful kill

only one good solution … 4 different megaserver for the 4 supported languages at EU

the chaos of languages on the eu (mega-)servers is horrible

please separate english, french, spanish and german players at every map, even the ultra low populated

if there are 5 english, 5 german, 5 spanish and 5 french players … don’t put the 20 players in one map … please put every 5 of a language on his own, language specific, map

all other systems won’t work well

i don’t want to read every minute

“englisch please” “kitten germans” “kitten people which start WW2” “sprecht gefälligst deutsch” “kitten engländer” “kein englisch ihr kitten” … and so on in spanish and french

it ruins the game

i have 250 unident dyes (all loot) at my bank … waiting for a precursor, so buying is not “my” problem …

but when the recipe is changed, i can do other things with the 250 unident dyes …
it would be nice to know that early

right, there will be many unident dyes at the days after the patch … but in the past most colors came in the game by loot, this source will no longer exist …
many players (and future players) will now try to unlock all colors at their account without spending money/gold at the gemstore or buy the expensive colors directly …

so it’s only a matter of time until the manufacture of Bifrost is more expensive than other legendarys

you can still carry extra outfits and can change your look without using the new wardrobe …

wardrobe only replace the transmutation system with the bonus that skins are saved to the account

With the changes to the color system, unidentified dye will not be as easy to obtain.

There will be a change at the recipe with the patch?

If you already have the same dyes unlocked on multiple characters, when you log in on additional characters, you will receive one unidentified dye for each duplicate dye already unlocked on your account."

the TO means the holos at the ship and not the Assault Knights …

@TO: when you kill all three holos at the same time (10-15 seconds time window) you have no micro-adds …

yesterday it works at overflows perfect without much coordination

i don’t think item itself got fixed, only the recipe…kind of

I think that’s the way ANet wants it to be. Apparently the recipes were intended to be tradable but the actual back pieces weren’t. See last patch notes; where the Grenth back piece was changed to account bound

For the daily achievement I was just in the Southsun Survival, when I killed a player or I was killed, the collected resouces of the victim doesn’t drop.

The idea that they’re not resetting because people aren’t actually activating the holograms after killing the aetherblades, thus the projector is not resetting and the aetherblades are not resetting, seems plausible.

after killing the aetherblades the hologram ist automatically disactivated

Hi, the event with Scholar Anders in Queensdale is broken at server Drakkar Lake [DE], so we have no gates to the mad king’s realm.

And at the moment no overflow server for us at Queensdale.
