To everyone commenting on this saying we should roll another class like a LB Warrior or a SB Thief, it’s not the same. Rangers are bow oriented and with their traps and non-pet related skills they are a waaaay different playstyle than Thief or Warrior. Some people just want that hunter feel, which the Ranger has, except for the pet…
Anet should really add the option to permanently stow a pet, so that it only comes out if a person wants it to. I would play a ranger for traps and such, but the pet just annoys me.
I suspect some kind of horrifying ending for dragon bash… I mean, put a life sized, roaring holographic dragon in the sky, a real dragon is bound to show up wanting to fight for territory or something… And how can the organizers be sure they are not playing a dragon mating call?

I would really like to be able to put basic info on my account that can be seen by friends and guild members… Very basic info like age, country, and gender and maybe a short status message would be nice…
Anet should implement a huge dungeon underground somewhere, and if someone gets banned their character gets sent to a cell… There should be no way to get out of the cell. This way someone who has been banned can still log into GW2 but not be able to do anything with the banned character… Now THAT would be punishment..
If Anet wanted to take the more realistic approach, they could have made the requirements for recipes higher, like needing 50 vials of blood instead of one to craft something… But then again, is it realistic to have different kinds of blood, some more potent than other? Blood is made out of the same cells, is it not?
Interesting fact: Discworld is somewhat based on the ancient Babylonian worldview of the world. If Anet used that idea it would be somewhat unoriginal(seeing as it has been used in fiction before). Based on what we have seen in GW lore, Anet likes originality…
I,ve searched the forums and found no lore explaining why the dinosaurs disappeared. Did Anet decide remove them for no reason at all? A lot of people are saying they want Dinosaurs back, and I totally agree. Bring back our Dinosaurs!
I’m really hoping they put this creature in the game in the future, either as a playable race, or as a mob. (I would go crazy if this were a playable race :P)
The game has its own universe, and might even have slightly different laws of physics than us. And there is always the use of magic.. Asuran golems work on magic, the helicopters might also make use of magic to keep from falling… I know Charr aren’t really magic users, but it must be considered as well.
To everyone who says it looks like a Charr, I don’t mean to burst your bubbles, but firstly it has no horns, secondly it is obviously reptilian, not feline…
It would be awesome if we could see this implemented as a playable race.. They could have enough strength to wield war hammers and great swords one handed or they could get a new hand cannon weapon..
He can’t change the e-mail because if he tries to log in (the game and the GW2 website) the system first needs to authenticate the attempt. The authentication e-mail is then sent to an address that no longer exists.
He gets stuck at the login screen when it says verifying the e-mail address, but no email goes through. his last ticket he sent was in August, with no reply, so he kind of gave up, but the other night we changed his e-mail address, because he wanted to try again. He changed it to an old address, but his parents had closed that account, so now he can’t log in anymore.
I recently got the Legendary Defender Of Ascalon title in Guild Wars 1, but I was dismayed to see there is no change in my GW2… It’s a title that takes quite a bit of dedication and work, so could we please get something for GW2 players that completed the title in GW1?
Is there a way to contact Arenanet directly? I’ve got a friend who has’nt ben able to log in since GW2 came out and Anet seems to just ignore his cries for help. I really did’nt expect this from Anet.. If possible can an admin help me?
Sorry, let me just make it clearer.. Am I allowed to buy gems with in-game gold and sell them for in-game gold with profit in-game.. No real money in play here…

Just before my game crashed to my desktop, I put my character in autorun up the stairs to Jeb’s Wheatfield in Queensdale. When I restarted the game, I was surprised to find myself stuck in a bale of hay, totally unable to get out. I had to teleport to the nearest waypoint to go on… Maybe the cows attacked me, and thinking I was dead, hid my body in a hay bale…
Hi, I’ve been seeing alot of people wanting the Skritt released as a playable race. This won’t work, as the Skritt are too small. What if Anet made an event where a new race appears due to some underground tremors or something. The new race could be a larger species in the same family as Skritt, with a very deep mining culture(no pun intended).
In a dynamic event in Nightguard Beach(Harathi Hinterlands) the character you help is named Guard Muldoon. In the end he goes into a cavern to confirm rumours of spiders, but finds none. As he turns to go back to camp, a small group of spiders descend from the roof. Guard Muldoon says “clever girl” just before they attack. These are the same words said by Jurassic Park’s game warden, Robert Muldoon when he sees the Velociraptor before it attacks him.
My apologies if there is already a thread about this, I couldn’t find anything. Is there a cowboy hat for medium armour? I saw a few pretty awesome coats that have a western feel to them…
I don’t really like the idea of dying weapons. Weapons should be what they are.
For example, the sword and GS from CoF. They are basically a chunk of cooled lava with chains. There’s no way they should be dyed blue or pink or any other color.. cooled lava is not blue.
The lava doesn’t have to change colour. Dyes could change like the hue of the blade slightly, or just the pommel. Some weapons in GW1 had very minor colour changes when applying a dye.
