Hey guys its Dannyle go by Danny in game, just was wonderin if any Spvp teams are lookin to recruit? I’m a r80 I Main Guard (Have mained it since launch) and am a great Necromancer as well. I’m would consider myself very knowledgeable of my classes and feel I could offer a team a great deal of experience. I would love to try out or whatever I need to do to prove myself to some teams, I hope to hear from some ppl i would love to fill a Guardian role any build needed. Have no problem playin necro if needed.
We are now really looking for scrim partners to practice with as we are newly formed but good talent. Practice is Mandatory on Weekend (Saturday)(Sunday) and will try hard to practice during the week if we can.

Hey Man our Team “Your Dumb” [Dumb] could actually use a full time engi! ur ranked right around were most of our team is as well except me im in the 400’s due to decay from a break i took ill hit u up in game we have great players knowledgeable and rotate well. Think u would fit in great and no tryouts needed for you as u seem to be legit.
I think it would be cool if (ONLY when match starts and its 4v5) that you shouldn’t be credited a loss and the opposing team still gets there win but this way at least bad matchmaking didnt screw you over :O. This couldn’t work for teams that have leavers due to ppl would spam it so they dont get losses but if a match truly starts 4v5 you should be exempt from a loss on ur record

hmm its very different ill say and its good to have more guards trying to make more builds but just imo my suggestion is 1 of 2 things 1 either swap ur heal for shelter so that way ur getting more out of ur “Healer’s Retribution” quicker while being a free 2 seconds of block, or 2 just completely remove the 10 out of radiance all together and pick up 10 in honor for “Superior Aria” and get the CD on 2 of ur 3 utilitys shorter timed. 5sec of Stability and Retal and a breakstun every 24sec is to good to pass up!
Also forgot that i would swap the trait Strength in numbers for “Retributive Armor” it will give u a much needed boost to ur crit chance so that u can more reliably dish out ur potential dmg
So youd prefer a rank 35+ guy that farmed his rank over a level 20 that actually pvp’d?
Careful what you ask for. You could have a team of level 60+ that has no idea what theyre doing.
umm actually that would be any rank ever anyone could “farm” rank but 35+ is being nice imo if it were me i’d set it 40+ lol, but u can’t lower a standard because ur “assuming” every r35+ is a farmed ranker thats just so we can eliminate alot of inexperienced players ultimately its on the team owner to decide who fits and who doesn’t. Besides its not an issue as u can quickly tell who is legit and who isn’t.
Hey man whats up i played as the bunker guard with u in team Your Dumb and believe me as much as i loved that name XD it just never got off the ground. If u need a core bunk guard hmu i tried to take initiative with last group but no one was ever on lol. Im r40 as well and 1500+ plus hrs on guard and 1000+ on rangers and i have right at 1000 tournys played and was ranked about at 200 but have decayed off since ive been breaking for couple months but dont confuse that with not playing i still maintained all of my skill and am very knowledgeable and have played with many top teams as fill in so i have high level play experience ^^. I actually have matured a bit and realized climbing leader-boards is great if achievable but i just want a team to play with and enter tournaments and have a great time. Also i work tuesday-fridays so a weekend tourny group is actually spot on with schedule :O!.
thnx for the response and i def understand the importance of ascended items as far as what they provide, but my question was why is the back piece the standout. All the other pieces can be obtained by laurels or laurel+WvW badges or laurel+ectos things like that. But why is the piece that literally if u don’t fotm its not even worth the 140g’ish that it would take to craft if u were to start from scratch at this moment. Only reason i can see is for the fotm farmers its a extra way to gain AR but if ur not one those players then making the back piece probably wouldnt even benefit u as u could spend the money somewhere else. I was just wondering what is the point of not making this obtainable the same way as all the other pieces?
I Know they been out forever but i was just wondering what the difference is between the ascended rings/accessories/amulets? why is the least giving item the hardest to craft? whats the point of making it so expensive. I have 4 toons and i dont have any 1 of them fully ascended trinket wise but all of them have 3 to 4 pieces so im deciding to just finish my main but just got to wondering lol. this isnt a complaint or QQjust a legit thought and question?
I was a lucky one who finished and got my rewards but glad this topic is up i literally had same problem yesterday and my whole group filed a report to anet we had the same thing happen in AC p3 last night i know full and well ill probably never see those tears or the time i put into the dungeon back but ill suffice if they fix these type of problems QUICK!. Thankfully there is a dev saying there working on it and i believe them ^^.

I have always agreed that pve/pvp should be seperate and u explained it perfectly thank you. its sad that classes will suffer, all for 1 build in 1 mode type. But yet get cut across the board smh
Just wondering what fellow rangers opinions are the current meta state spirit ranger? In my honest opinion i dont know how this will avoid the nerf hammer and i cant even make a case of why they shouldnt when im asked lol. Do you think nerfing spirit rangers is justified if so why or why not? no class ever wants to be nerfed and i play spirit ranger in a couple of my teams so i have def enjoyed our rise but honestly when i think about it from another persons perspective it does need to be toned down. so leave comments with ur ideas of how A-net could balance this class either one way or the other.
Also i did realize that save yourselves when i made this might not be the most optimal considering its a higher cd and im only running 2 shouts i did struggle with that decision of not using hold the line and after reading i agree hold the line might be a better choice so i have more cleanses coming out more often. Ill def look at that again thanks for the post but besides my last post and this i think ill stick with what i have as it has been working wonders for me and this is only 1 build to fill 1 role this is not a “Bunker” build which is what a few have mistaked it for as it is pretty much a 100% support ^^ with some bunker qualities
thanks for the feedback yeah some of these i have known about but especially the book elite which is not popular i guess it comes to down to how a person actually uses it ive played against a lot of top tier teams with this build and have had major success with it, a problem to me with things like sanctuary in the line up is now teams have to much access to stability and even traited its still to long a CD to throw up just have ur opponent stand right in it and continue cleaving the downed body which is all i ever see it used for is rezzes nowadays. The reason i take hallowed ground is not solely for the book elite, it has numerous other usage such as making such as preventing warriors form perma stunning you/keeping necro’s from fearing ur team off points etc. these kinda constructive critiscm is what i look for when i make builds thanks alot and ill def go and check those out like shield over focus, im very aware that it offers more support but that was one of my more selfish weapon choices simply because t synergizes with the mace so well, the mace 3 + shield 5 = 4 blocks from bursting not mention 5 blocks theortically if u have an aegis up i just find that well worth usage
from a lore standpoint torment makes no sense to put on a divine figure such a guardian, but in game we do need t least just 1 more condition or buff the chill amount we can apply even if just a small buff, so that we can make up for our poor mobility by slowing enemies down if traited, because ppl forget that we CAN apply small amounts of chill XD. If all of this sounds to OP to add then at least do one of the following with the shield 5 skill. 1 Either give us a melee blocking shield like the warr/engi or 2. At least make our 5 skill a blast finisher
edit: scrap that first one a melee blocking shield would be OP tremendously in a utility line up that already contains “Shelter” and “Renewed Focus”
hmmm yeah its a typo in the description i gues :O i def mean to have the Signet heal(I hope to see a day when we can make healing breeze viable XD) and yup the dodge heal is exactly that a extra HEAL so might as well make good use of it
This is a new build im running as a high end r40 tourny only bunker guardian, this is what i have come up with that has been helping me when games as i have moved slightly more away from the bunker position and more toward the fully support position^^. I have played over 800 matches and very experienced so just want to share with you what ive come up with XD. R38 Bunker Guard(Main) also very high skilled ranger (Heavy Alt) he, very experienced player, I have been looking for good team to go full time and would love a chance to tryout for something like this. Been wanting to enter alot more tournies i have been ranked highest around 370 or so and i lost soe rank due to not having a team lol solo que has gotten quite tiresome and would like some competent friendly enviornment like this so hit me up in game “The Lawful Danyyle” or “Xanthoas”

Alright this does sound fun though let me take a swing at this. I think Charrs should be banned from tpvp cause i was fighting a team of 5 charrs and they all were so big they were taking uo the entire node and i died dude to not being able to see where the enemy necro/rangers were throwing there wells/traps . Hows that does that sound legit or what!?
Because i wanted to play front line that deals less damage than every other class in the game with tied lowest health pool with thief’s and elementalist.
And rely on my boons that get stolen or turned into condition.
Only so i can have traits to overwrite my friends 25 stacks of might or why not follow the guardian way and play defensive support with meditation that heals …. me, or giving boons heals, once again only me.
Oh well, atleast i got retaliation dealing 150 – 300 damage to enemies striking me for 6k damage. Oh wait, that is a boon. Nevermind.
Well atleast we still got wall of reflection to do something awesome with, guess they are going to give it some more love aswell soon.
You can write a hate mail like this for EVERY class as well :P. Pro and Cons every class has em, pointing out things we already know wont make us like them any less, how bout mentioning things like a “dodge heal” and a “healing auto attack” with mace and GS if traited to go along with our passive regen virtue, not just heals how about the amount of blocks/blinds we have, I love watching a thief spam his heartseeker just to be absorbed by my focus shield+Aegis and watching him run out of initiative while u took 0 damage XD. Not to forget all of our available cleanses if made for it, also u gain life for every boon u give your allies around, wish we had access to decent amount of boons that would be amazing oh wait we called BUFF BOTS for a reason.
hey i was just wondering if i could get a answer from anybody really(devs hopefully but unlikely i know). nothin bad im just curious as to why there is no lances or greataxes in this game most traditional RPG’s and in most adventure lore such as this game those are one of the standard weapons that most offer and i only ask cause i was just chatting up some friends and maining a heavy class (Guardian) a lance would be so kitten amazing. Same with a two-handed great axe these are very popular weapon choices at least from my experiences in gaming since childhood.
I mainly play WvW/Dungeons/Fractals and feel that I can really bring a difference to a group when I am running the Guardian. I don’t know how many times I prevented my Teammates to get stomped by Banishing the stomper away, or even down a cliff. Or running through an entire enemy Zerg without them getting me lower than 50% hp (this beeing a very big Zerg…) due to Block/Invuln/Blinds etc. I love beeing in a dungeon realizing my whole team got wiped and I still have 75% of my hp left and can kill those stupid Vine’s on my own due to perma protection + retal while using my awsome Hammer.
To summ it up; I can take quite a beating while dishing out some dmg myself and play a very important part in a team.
lets me know hard work and critical thinking didnt go to waste
