Well if they’re going to consistently be at noon on weekends I will never be able to make them unless I happen to be sick.
Instead of bragging rights I’ll just be annoyed with GW2 every time one is announced. That is not fun.
It seems that I just don’t get to participate in these one time events typically. Yesterday I was able to because I was home sick but that was the exception and not the rule.
I tend to work on weekends so one time only events serve no purpose to annoy me.
Food for thought.
Well I did TONS on the first couple days. Afterwards thought the second phase sounded uninteresting so I missed that, I’m not one for tedious jump puzzles. When the third phase came around I had work for the “special one time only event!” so I haven’t bothered logging in since out of annoyance. Shame too, cause the third phase sounds fun, I might check it later.
Underwater combat is never fun in any game ever and I wish devs would stop getting the impression that it’s a good idea but they never do.
At first I enjoyed underwater combat in this game. Then the bugs/leashes/absurd multipulls/etc. happened and I remembered.
I have work at that time, so it doesn’t really matter to me!
HoD is just fine. They’re just called Blackgate now.
But Blackgate is only staying competitive due to constant cheating. HoD was legit.
BG truly is tough to beat with these… strategies.
I just won’t bother trying it. I’m not huge on JP so this doesn’t seem like something I’d enjoy.
I have no interest in discussion other than simply the reply of whether you plan to buy into the black lion trading chest random number generation again or not.
The idea of this thread is to give them a better idea on whether or not the majority of their player base will buy into this from a financial standpoint alone. No morals, no discussion. Pure data.
I want to keep this thread very short and hopefully very long detailing nothing other than your response and no extra information or argument. The idea is that maybe they will see this and gather an overall idea of what the player base is wanting or sticky it. Gauging customer likelihood to buy things is difficult so lets make it easier on them.
You may copy paste the section below to quickly reply and state your general views on the subject in a yes/no pattern. No extrapolation.
Five main responses are acceptable, please:
1. Will you or will you not be buying black lion trading company or random number generation materials again?
Example: Yes/No.
2. Did you buy them in the past?
Example: Yes/No.
3. If you would not buy trading post material/gamble, would you support direct to buy weapon skins and what general price do you find acceptable from a business standpoint both as a customer and realizing that they must make money as a business?
Example: Yes/No. I would/wouldn’t buy them even if they were direct purchases.
4. Do you believe that future events will also be handled with random number generation to make profit based on limited time item acquisition?
Example: Yes/No.
5. If you believe that the future events will be handled in the same manner, does this realization negatively effect your trust of Arena Net in regard to handling micro transactions for permanent content?
Example: Yes/No.
6. Did you obtain a skin or whatever it is you were looking to get from the black lion trading chests? From the Mad King Chests?
Example: Yes/No I did/didn’t obtain the item I wanted from the chest. I also did/didn’t obtain the item I wanted from the Mad King Chest.
Keep it simple, keep it civil, keep it short: My gratitude.
Yes/No answers to the above questions are alot easier to read and faster if ArenaNet wishes to gauge their audience. I am not taking sides even though I have my own opinion and wish to act as an intermediary within the confine of the thread.TLDR; Copy and paste the section above with yes or no answers, please. If you are incapable of keeping things short and QQ (in either direction) we will all assume you have the inability to follow directions in order to give ANet another way to gauge customer satisfaction and the desire to buy gems or purchase other things.
If someone does start ranting and/or making page long arguments I ask that you please simply ignore the fact and move on in the short and objective manner.
1)No
2)No
3)Yes, though I don’t have a set pricepoint. For example, I will probably get chainsaw the skeleton since I know what it’ll cost me.
4)Yes, and I plan to avoid those as well. It’s rather frustrating.
5)I’ve played games by Nexon before. I know how this stuff goes. I’ve never thought that Nexon had their claws fully in til this company til now, but wow this holiday has been frustrating.
6)No, I opened about 15 chests this holiday and got absolutely nothing of value. I refuse to waste more currency, virtual or real, on them.
Yup, I got some of the crafted ones to work.
Granted, I got nothing for my efforts through about 10 chests.
Huh, shame I have so many tonics from before they became homogenized.
I love lists like this because it’s so easy to see how many QoL improvements could be easily made to the game.
Less than half of this stuff will ever happen, and I’d be surprised if even a quarter of it happens soon.
Probably the main reasons I don’t do WvW.
…
Other than the imbalanced matches, of course.
I think it’s kind of amazing that there has never once been a match for my server (SBI) that was ever in doubt. I’ve been waiting all this time for an even match before I tried out WvW but it’s starting to feel like it’ll never happen.
I’ve noticed that when I am in dragon fights mobs and players randomly appear and disappear. This looks horrible and makes the fights significantly less fun; why does it happen and how can I make it stop?
Warriors are top tier at leveling and stomping scrubs in spvp, therefore bad players think they’re OP. It makes sense really.
Not a cool change. I hope it is reverted.
Oh trust me, I expect my warrior to get nerfed every patch. Never seems to happen though. It’s pretty awesome, not gonna lie. lawlfacerollomnislash
I have all the classes rolled though so it’s easy for me to stick with what is fun. I just pray anet leaves in the other things I enjoy.
Wow, I was really digging my ranger as well because of how crazy the SB felt.
Guess I’ll shelve him. =/
I agree with the OP 100%. This is why I have alts for lowbie zones.
I bet a lot of people find your charr’s armor sexy.
They’ll probably be the thing that eventually makes me stop playing this game.
I like to pop around the map, do a few quests in this zone, a few events in another zone, catch up on my story, do some crafting, maybe some pvp, and repeat. At the moment every time I want to switch things up I get annoyed due to the price. It kinda sucks that every time I want to do something else I get hit with this bill.
It’s never a big deal to pay the silver, but every time I want to do something new it makes it seem that much less enticing. Making every aspect of the game less enticing seems like a bad road to go down. I’d vastly prefer paying 25g or something for a mount. That way I’m in the world to join in events instead of just teleporting from place to place, and I don’t get nickle and dimed CONSTANTLY.
Mounts in WoW made exploration boring. Flying mounts even more so. I’m glad this game does away with ’em.
Maps made it boring as well. I think we should eliminate in game maps and go back to ones that the player makes themselves.
As somebody who had no idea about the exploit til I started getting spammed with the message as I was leveling normally, I have to agree. It looks abysmal and I’m not sure what you’re hoping to accomplish.
The mobs are just playing smart and spacing intelligently.
Not a bug, it’s a feature!
I understand that, but it seems to be random when they decide to get bored with me. I pull them, move them a bit, get them under half health and they decide to leave.
…are they supposed to be this common? I get a mob halfway dead and it decides to turn invincible and run away from me while regenerating health rapidly. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? It’s can be extremely frustrating.
I just wouldn’t use oranges if I were you. They’re unreasonably difficult to acquire at this point.
38 war
35 mes
30 necro
17 guard
7 thief
all other classes at 2.
I play as few humans as possible. I made one just out of obligation and can’t motivate myself to even try him.
Learn 2 MOBA?
All of us who have understand the mechanic.
I think you get put into the emptiest server with the lowest ping if you hotjoin.
But who cares, free glory
I get 30 glory, 1 for each point I cap. After that, nothing at all.
What you’re telling me is that the join game button is 100% useless.
There really needs to be some sort of check in place to prevent 1v0 matches from occurring. I typically get matches with less than 4 players when I join a random group and on occasion get solo matches. Why am I not being placed with larger groups?
Allow groups of 2 at least. That shouldn’t be too influential.
I run an Asura guardian and she looks amazing with a 2 handed mace. Just throwing it out there.
Henge will continue to have scrubs join it tons at a time til server transfers are cut off.
Not free server transfers. Any server transfers. Get used to it.
Enjoy your queue.
Why does it reset if you change zones? That is absolutely absurd…
Black Lion salvage kits should be exempt from karma item salvage prohibition.

For several days after launch I was happily breaking down karma items, and vendoring them too. Unfortunately the developers fix to exploits is to eliminate a key source of coin and crafting materials.
It was really absurd that they did this.
Punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty.
Also very curious about this.
