A minor factor may be that you can’t see that easily that it is a current spike when buying gems. Before you might have waited just a day or two if it looks like a spike, now you have to watch the gem price regularily to do that or use a 3rd party site.
This is not about the word filter, but about the category filter. You can’t alter the spelling there, just select category and sub-category. The search box isn’t involved at all.
Appears to be broken to me. Searching for the word “dye” still works however.
Taking away white swords will shift the advantage to the higher population servers. There are simply more people around noticing attacks on those.
Anyway, what will happen to waypoints? Will they still indicate an attack, or will they appear normal but don’t work if you try to use them (or even take you to a “random” other uncontested waypoint near)?
Happens to me too trying to filter for “other/dyes” or “crafting materials/recipes”. I can find the stuff when searching via word filter and yes, I did select buy first. This worked a week ago.
So, is there actually someone for whom those filters work?

Talking to a scout there should help.
The level 80 jewels don’t work, because the backpack is only level 78 equipment. But the next lower jewel level works and the end result is still a bit better than the backpieces from Orr karma vendors and only a little bit worse than the ascended backpieces.
Well, the buff shows in PvE too. So wether the magic find applies in WvW is not clear, but I guess not. There are a number of buffs that say they are not to working in PvP but they do in WvW.
So this are not just mesmer clones? Those often show up on top of the wall or behind the gate. But those are killed fast and cannot port people in.
That looks like the eternal alchemy video sequence as seen at the end of the current living world 2 chapter.
Well, you should never be stuck, you can just buy stuff from other vendors even if you don’t know the profession – the runes are the same. It’s just a bit confusing and inconveniant at the moment.
Currently Armorsmith and Leatherworker sell them to me, but not the Tailor (Lions Arch, Fort Mariner).
I can’t find the Mushroom Soup recipe. Laewyn there only sells the Warden Rations recipe.
Think of it as a future investment you can use once you reach levl 30. But you probably don’t want to buy any more until you reach that level. And a few more will probably be unlocked automatically by doing content anyway.
Skill points will be really plentyful later on, to the point that gold is not as easy as skill points.
And you really shouldn’t buy all the traits. Unlock the ones that are easy for you by doing stuff, buy the ones you need and don’t feel like unlocking the other way.
Being able to reset points at almost any time would probably be abused: Got the guard stacks? Fine, now redistribute to carry more supply, after picking up supply, redistribute to siege abilities.
But reset by speaking to an NPC near spawn would be really nice.
Your cheaters only stay under a keep so its contested? Sweet. There is a cheater on FSP that’s usually beneath Stonemist that can take like half the HP of everyone in a stacked 30 man zerg with AoE burning attacks (I think its an elementalist?). You’re hit by unknown so you cant even report him. And even if 50 people reported him, do you really think Anets automatic system would care? I mean seeing as how we used to report teleport bot like 50 times a day for months.
Class skill AoE’s are limited to hitting 5 people max, so it’s no that. Some siege weapon?
Would working together with the enemy server on the issue work? They should at least be able to see the name for the dot on the minimap.
dulfy writes something about the kite movement speed increase stacking with swiftness…
So… just theoretically (since I can’t test it due to lack of luck by now)… Let’s assume I stack up swiftness with staff on my ele and then use the kite…
ele waves bye-bye?
Meh, I usually don’t bother with swiftness, since the increase from 25% (air sigil) to 33% isn’t that noticeable. So 5% more will do nothing real. Seems to be really useful in a sandstorm only.
Happens to me everytime I WP to Prosperity in Dry Top. I fix it by loggging out to character select and in again. Have bug reported it, so hopefully we see it fixed in the future, it starts to get annoying.
Well, if you just want the skins of those items, you can always make alts that select those items to unlock them. The alts can be deleted right after that.
When I gathered mats for levelling crafting, I got the same impression. The first kill of a new creature type usually had a much higher chance to drop mats than the next few. But it would need controlled experiements to verify that, could be just selective memory too.
Anyway, I found bats (and minotaurs) to be good blood sources, so the ones in Frostgorge Sound should do (if at least level 78) for Powerful Blood – they should drop faster than Young Karkas. But didnĀ“t try that myself, got my Powerful Blood from random risen in Cursed Shores (but that is mixed mats).
As for general mindless zerg farming, Edge of the Mists seems to be used for that a lot lately.
Well, I’ve fallen to death in Dry Top quite a bit lately, so I guess I should unlock that trait. But will be something I’ll select situationally only.
Hoping here for a chance at the Consortium Sickle too, it has the least annoying animation of the sickles. And the last two sickles offered didn’t sell to me specifically because of the animations (did get me the Dreamcleaver Axe and the Watchwork Mining Pick). I guess this is not a case of not offering tools with animations at all, but having alternatives for people not liking them.
