I’ve been looking for this post because I wanted to post much the same. My thoughts are as follows.
1) Revert to old system.
Failing this, there are some others.
2) Add more increment options, 100, 200, and 600, for Gold to Gems,
3) Add a slider with small increments, around 25 gems, for Gems to gold.
3)Add a way to bring up the old system while keeping the new system there.
Since I don’t buy gems to turn into gold, I have no opinions on outlooks on that side. Only Gold to Gems.
For the second week in a row my guild and buddies have gotten Sotzz the Scallywag as a target for our bounty. Finding him is not the issue. When we do he is a vaporous greenish blob that burbs and belches when we interact with it. We can’t start the fight or anything, he just goes “(Belch)” at us. If someone could look into this, fix it, some combination of the two or point me to a place with an explanation of any kind I’d be very greatfull. Thanks!
As the title says, and as some people my know, SE got tinkered with. I’m trying to teach my friends and guildies path 1. However, the three champion golems are stomping us hard. In the open, we go down in less than 30 seconds. If we stack it, we can’t get one down before we all die painful deaths.
Before this run however, I have never had an issue with newbies and lowbies in path 1. What was changed? Why isn’t it listed in any change logs or release notes? If it is listed, where was it put?
Hope someone can help!
We just got done doing guild missions and it cost us in terms of completion and rewards for some. We can’t get people to the same maps fast enough with some bounties like Mayana who spawn when you kick a tree and such. I’m also one of those nerdy grief deserving Role Players in tarnished Coast and the influx of griefers has made it a lot less fun to do anything in open areas, unless you count watching them sit there for 45 minutes pressing 1 while we go about our business.
Having never looked positively on the outlook of mega servers since Anet made the announcement, I am growing to hate it more and more. And more. Its hurting every part of the game I enjoy and making it less fun.
If you are looking for PvE options, I’d say go with rifle. You can use Rifle and Greatsword with similar traits, no need to swap any out (Even though its free and fast now). On hit damage, bleed damage, vulnerability stacks, cripple and hard crowd control. It also has more range than the bow. If you need to heal up, walk to long range and take pop shots safely.
You know what’s really OP and really strong? Someone who know’s their class and how to play it to counter the class they are going against. Sure warrior’s offer a lot of forgiveness to the new players on them, but as it has been said the warrior can be countered once you know how to counter it. I wonder how often the same could honestly be said for other classes, and how many other classes become much better with teamed up with allies?
Lots of, well, everything it seems on a warrior. Insane damage, health, healing, control, everything right? Just remember, a glass cannon will always take a lot of damage and warriors have to put a lot of trait points into one thing to be very strong with it. Sure I could be an unmovable object with shout or banner healing. But I wouldn’t hit that kitten the other hand I could focus my traits into dealing lethal amounts of damage, but a few well placed conditions will end that.
Note, I am not an expert warrior. I just know what stops and slows me down. If you plan on standing next to a high damage warrior and letting him cut you down, I’m sorry. If you plan on baiting the warrior into a back ally and jumping him with a few buddies, nicely done.
Time played, number of classes leveled to 80, where you queue and how many dungeon runs you do a day doesn’t mean much if you can’t learn from your mistakes.
If you are looking for a PvE power build, there’s a lot you can do. I would suggest at least 20 points into Arms, taking the Deep Cuts and Forceful Greatsword for Might on Crit, or Blademaster for higher Sword Crit chance. 20 points into Strength will give you access to the Duel Wielding Trait and Slashing Power. That last 30 points can go to help with the Arms or Strength Tree, improving damage, crit chance, condi duration and damage or into defensive trees as needed.
For the past, well, while, I have been trying to level alts in dungeons. The EXP is great, a whole level sometimes two. But these alts? They are often around the recommended level for the dungeon. My Mesmer, for example is lvl 36 right now. She’s meets the level needed for AC exploration mode. it will get her to 37 or maybe 38, it will get me almost 2 gold and 60-70 AC tears I need for my legendary. So with all this I can get on my alt, I am finding the LFG tool is something I want gone simply because I will stop using it entirely to find groups.
Why? PuGs. 96 out of 100 people I find in the LFG tool assume my toon is a lvl 80 zerker DPS/Utility Mesmer who can blast damage, provide support and that I personally know every little skip, exploit, and glitch. I know many, and I also know how to use the Mesmer’s Great sword to keep up. Now why, oh why, can PuGs not stand my lvl 36 Mesmer in a lvl 35 dungeons? Also, why is the routine to skip Kholer at all costs?
My reasoning: Pugs can’t take a fight with a difficulty rating higher than “Very Easy” and if you aren’t is full zerker exotics/ascended you aren’t welcome in even the lowest level dungeons. I have similar issues on my main, a level 80 high DPS great sword warrior. I pull my weight, I do my job and everyone else is mucking around unsure of what to do when the mobs decide to shake up their agro table even a little.
Also, the Champ Troll in AC? I haven’t seen a dead one in a while. So I will leave with this. I think PuGs are the worst way to do dungeons and would recommend every player out there find a core group they can do dungeons with, other wise you’ll have a bad time.
To start, here is what I am sticking to: Great sword. Here is what I do not want: A build that can do all the damage, take no damage, provide utility to my team and heal them. Why? I can’t make a 30/30/30/30/30 build.
Now, what do I want with my great sword (knight’s of earth) and my knights of strength armor? High damage, good mobility are tops. If shouts can be used, that would be nice. However, shouts are secondary. Also, I will stick to healing surge (OP heal) unless you can prove beyond any doubt healing signet will kill anything and everything before I am hurt. As for my build, consider it empty. Gear? Like I said, Knight’s Draconic Armor of Strength and A Knight’s Great Sword Of Earth. I have two exotic Berserker trinkets. Lets see what you got!
