So I’ve heard the claim that Norn Engineers don’t really make sense cause Norn see using technology as weakness, but there are Norn in the Pact and Priory that have no issue with using turrets and such. I’m looking at maybe making a Norn engineer but trying to figure out a proper background still.
Yeah, I’m a bit disappointed too. I think visibility is an important thing, but making it an option seems like a lot more of an elegant way too fix it. For me personally at least the animations help me read the game, don’t obstruct it.
Yes, especially since I don’t just get crashes but I get full bluescreens. :/
sigh
64 bit client stopped my computer crashes for about a week, but now straight back to Machine_Check_Error blue screens, I’m so tired of this. I’ve tried everything, this computer’s only 2 months old I just want to be able to play my game.
And all support ever does is advice me to do the same steps I’ve done several times before already and told them I had.

I don’t think it’s out of place for something that’s really a luxury, with the best bags you have a ton of bag space and considering this game has both a deposit materials function and access to sell stuff on the AH everywhere having full bags is hardly ever an issue.
Undercutting is ridiculous and I laugh at people who do.
- A piece of iron ore is a piece of iron ore. Doesn’t matter if you get it from a bag, a boss or mining it. Why would a person list theirs for less unless they’re stupid? Unless they believed that selling theirs first is the profit, instead of the coin sitting in their bank.
- Supply and demand means nothing in a world where supplies are infinite. Think about this. Supply and demand is based on the premise that when materials are low, the price goes up. There will never be a limit on cloth, ore, leather, or any other material. Therefore, there is no demand to cause materials to rise in price, except out of greed. The only materials that should get expensive are seasonal, like candy corn. T6 mats should never cost more than any other tier of material. Once you reach 80 the access to all tiers of material is equal.
- Value and worth. There is a difference between these two words and I believe a lot of people don’t know it. A piece of Mithril ore is roughly 50-60 copper. This is how much it’s worth. However, to someone that really needs a piece of Mithril ore might pay 2 gold because they’re in a pinch. That’s value.
- When listing an item, charge more than the other player. Why? Don’t you think you’re time is worth it? I certainly think my time is worth it. If you and another player are fighting the same boss at the exact same time, why would you put yourself in a position to lose money by undercutting, when you get the same item and have put in the same amount of time and effort?
- Prices will never get out of control. Sure they’ll go up when everyone is listing them for more. But soon the price will get to a point where a person will say – “That’s not worth it.” And will go farm it themselves. The prices will come back down since the value of the item will have reached it’s peak.
That is not true though? Materials get consumed and leave the market. People gathering puts it back into the market, but drop chances and just, the amount of people willing to gather a certain thing do influence the supply rate.
Mostly a problem with you RAM. I don’t trust diagnostic programs and best test
is mostly to remove some if your chips and test the first half .. then exchange them
to test the other half.
Oh and maybe set you BIOS to default to make sure nothing is overclocked or
has false timing or voltage.
Well oddly enough half my RAM is like, literally part of the motherboard (that suprised me too), so I can’t take it out to test that.)
How would I check if my BIOS is set to default? Right now it’s on the factory default.
At random times the screen will freeze, the sound will loop the same distorted sound for a while. This will continue a bit before the computer bluescreens showing a Memory_Check_Exception. (am on a laptop, newly purchased less than a month ago. ASUS X/K555LJ)
Have tried eliminating background processes, repairing client, 64 bit client, memory diagnostics on RAM, using the integrated graphics card instead of the Nvidia one, updating to windows 10, updating BioS, taking everything but the RAM that’s stuck to the mother board, etc…
That’s one of the few things I miss from wow, the pet battles.

I don’t get what’s so odd about the idea that you should actually participate in the event to get the reward associated with the event.
I’m a very casual player myself and I’ve found no issue levelling up. Food and boosters help a lot and just, explore the map, don’t rush ahead, adventures give out good amounts of xp as well.

If you buy say a WoW expansion you’re also paying that price and have to pay a monthly subscription. If you buy an expansion to a non-MMO game same case. You’re getting a bunch of extra content, paying for that doesn’t seem unreasonable in the slightest.
social justice warriors.
Do tell. Is it the fact that they acknowledged that hey, lesbians and disabled people exist???
No, the fact that they beat us over the head with them using pretty stereotypical blunt force theatrics. “Oh, lets go pick out curtains” Really? I am disabled BTW. Tiami makes me a bit ill in both design and characterization. Designed to be pitied. No thanks. Honest, subtle integration would have been far better. Obvious tokens are tokens.
shrug I’m both a lesbian and disabled and I liked both Jory/Kas and Taimi a lot.

They ran a so called Beta that ended up being a bait and switch. Players did not actually test the content to gain Elites, they got them on a platter to give the most positive experience possible.
They lowered rewards and changed core content to leverage HoT buys. Even worse, Guild upgrades already earned in the core game were removed and the means to achieve them again put behind a pay wall. Really unethical. I’ve never seen this so blatantly done in 14 years of MMOs.
Huh, and I went to the new guild place in Lion’s Arch and my guild got a bunch of stuff unlocked based on its pre-existing progress. Have you done that?
The guild initiative hall near the guild banker in Lion’s Arch. (North-eastern side)
People have various expenses. And it’s not only a case of not wanting to, it’s also a case of a) buying a new computer for a single game is not going to be a high priority expense for a lot of people b) lots of people (very rightfully so) won’t buy a new computer for a single game, thus causing Arenenet to lose players.
Grenth guards the afterlife, making sure restless spirits can pass on, people get proper burial rites, etc… all seem like very good guardian qualities.
Same issue, started with the balance patch two weeks ago, went away for a while and now is back. :/ Haven’t found a solution yet.
On Advice of support I shut down all non-windows processes through MSConfig, and that reduced the crashes by a lot.
At random times my computer will freeze up while playing guild wars, before showing me an error screen and restarting. The error I’m getting is a Machine_Check_Error.
Been having a similar issue since patching yesterday, game will run fine for a while, then my computer will randomly freeze up requiring a manual shut down, paired with static noise.
