The “fundraiser” was over 3 months ago so has nothing to do with ZDs.

1. I’ve never say this is, heck, I didn’t even mention the word “parliament”, I just think the “1, 2, 3, 4” way would help us clarify the sentences.

We got outplayed by SoR on the weekend of the first match BG/SoR/TC, then we bought back the pain on Tuesday and reclaimed the lead and SoR disappeared completely.

During the SoR/JQ/BG match SoR had queues all week, as did every server, suddenly SoR loses it’s ability to queue maps? That isn’t due to fairweather pve populations, that is due to guilds not showing up to lead the pugs.

We haven’t ever given any guild 15k gold to transfer, that is way too much gold for anyone to fork out for anything. You can go on about our Warchest and server fundraiser all you want but I can tell that "fundraiser" which you guys love to harp on about after we tallied in the cost of the prizes etc netted us under 1000g which is nothing and nowhere near all the hearsay bull shet you love to spew.

ZDs made their own choice to come to BG as we had approached them in the past just after IRON came to T1 and unbalanced the match up. Half of ZDs had already transferred before the server was aware and they funded themselves to get over we have given them some funding once they were already here to help get their poorer members across but I can assure you it was nothing close to the figure you are fabricating. Take your lies and misinformation back to your server forums where it belongs.

1. Mind I ask where are the "1000g" at the moment?

3. Are they going to return the 1000g or whatever the sum is they borrowed?

Problem is, dear Kiff, SEA guild(s) is what Elano was hoping to see. Not paying attention and actually read the words is probably what caused this thread to become so long.

I don’t know who fired the first shots, but to answer your question on my end and probably a lot of other rallians. The fact that BG is saying SoR has completely given up the fight, which is not true, we are not fighting as hard as the first 2 weeks because most of us are used to only playing within our time zones and minimally outside of it, when the league started the feveor of 1st place took over and many people overplayed. After the weekend is over our score grdually tanked in the first week, then drop massively in the 2nd week. Most of us realise there is no way we can compete with the coverage. certain times of the day we can only maintain and slowly bleed until our timezone ends and SEA/Early NA takes over, by then we have lost by many PPT.

Start of the 3rd week, PPT war has ended for SoR, we went back to just playing in our own time slot, or at least minimally, while BG still hang on to it’s coverage. As with any server though, demoralization of the pugs and possibly WvW guild members is always the case in these situations, so the numbers of those drop drastically on SoR. While BG pugs see’s the win and every pug and their mother joins in the fight. Keeping the numbers lopsided.

Personally, I am here for the fights and not really sure how or why the back and forth of this pointless thread started. I do have a few friends on BG from my old server and one of them did question me on why SoR quit the match, and I only try to explain to him as I do now, but his fear was losing guilds on BG because a lack of a fight on SoR. And I don’t think he whole hearted believed me when I told him SoR OC this week is pretty much how it has been every week, that is how much we have every time we play.

But I know some BG will keep going on about every SoR quitting WvW. But I can assure you the WvW regualrs are always there doing their best every day, regardless of what goes on in this thread.

Well, if you’ve read my previous post in a few pages back, I pointed out that I don’t agree that SOR is giving up completely. The definition of ‘give up’ could be different for anyone. I don’t know about NA cuz I can’t get up that early but I understand why some will think that way.
The only give-up attitude I saw happened mid of last week when SOR full map zerg was hitting kitten our WP bay at SORBL. We had no commander at that point because ND floated to rescue in BGBL and everyone scattered over the map. The assault was so fast and fierce at one point I thought we would lose it. Few ZDs around and one of them tagged up, leading the pugs with no one on TS we held bay and started to raid the north part. There was still 1 hour before SEA prime time ended. Soon we capped one of the north towers knowing the next target would be garrison, SONG/NYS and the whole map zerg logged off leaving only few pugs in garrison holding it.
In a league, I don’t agree completely with such kind of attitude but maybe this is their lifestyle and they really care about fight only despite they knew that losing garrison meant further demoralising the whole server.

I hope a NYS person can confirm this but, NYS was never in SORBL last week.

Well, because it sounds like your servermates are blaming BG for inviting ZDs to come over to fill in the empty slot. Mind scrolling a few pages back? Ugh nevermind, the whole thread is about that. Any page will do.

Anyways, I don’t want to tell you this but, actually, we invited ZDs because we need to fight maguuma.

The thing is, ZDs normally plays when SEA logs off and EURO is not on yet. the slot is “empty” for all of us. I just don’t understand why would ZDs go to a time slot where they are nobody to fight. But hey, maybe they’re having fun with it, who knows?

Gaming is supposed to be fun. People can have fun in different ways.

As I said before, SONG never had, have not and never will run more then 20. That is, mathematically, <=20. We would ask gently for people to not follow us (around 90% of the time, or even 95%, we run without a tag), but hey, if there are no tags on a map, would you not follow the sole group (that you see) instead of standing at the spawn? And of course we would gather up forces to attack an objective we estimated that need us to gather up. To be honest, the number of people TC has playing (I assume you’re from TC) on a given map during SEA night tonight is quite impressive as well .

For the PVD part, I don’t think its forbidden to attack a gate, at least the developers this is not a illegal thing to do at this stage of the game. Doesn’t mean I personally agree it though. What needs to change in my humble opinion is that trebuchets shouldn’t be able to damage rams on the other side of the gate given the fact that catapults were disallowed of such ability. By the way, PVD down a gate takes greater time :o

Most people simply doesn’t know or don’t care about the rating system. I doubt people would encourage server-mates that "Hey! We’re gaining ratings this week, keep it up!" while losing in scores.

So, how about adjust the starting scores of the match-up according to relative ratings. For example, if A server is 1500 rating, B is 1200 and C 900, maybe let server C starts at 50k points, server B at 20k with server A start at 0 (requires precise calculations, I know).

In this way the lower-rated server would actually know what they are fighting for (which is holding the point lead until the end of the week) and this gives them a actually feel of the relative server ratings with the opponents and how big the uphill is such server fighting.

It does seem like SOR does have a larger fair-weather player base then most servers. Over the past few weeks they have added [KISS], [SONG], [WARD], [ACO] that I know of. All guilds who run 25-30 in WvW on a given night. Yet they still have difficulty getting their people base out. Maybe they’re trying to recruit more guilds and are making it seem like they are the underdogs? It seems to be working since they’ve added more guilds then any other server over the past few weeks.

I wouldn’t doubt SoR is doing poorly to try and get TFV to sympathize and move over. We’ve seen them do this time and time again.

TFV is not moving. I heard BG is going to get a big SEA guild tho.

I would like to recommend you guys look at FA and Mag closely, the impact you guys can make during Oceanic/SEA/Euro times on these servers will be immense!

Although DB could always have more Oceanic and Euro as well

You’ve missed the point completely…
For instance its not fair for TC lose rank to DB just beacause db got a matchup where they can hold all maps for most of the day while TC has to fight round the clock and is losing rating even though its winning.

THAT is what sucks with this system, and it will keep happening. And the way this system works with its randomness, it will never “stabilize”

You’re not looking at the big picture. Currently most of the red server (except SoR and HoD) is gaining ratings, which indicates that the blue and/or the green servers aren’t doing as good as they are supposed to be. Which means that the OLD rating system, with the tiers, doesn’t indicate real server’s fighting power. Without the interactive match-ups between tiers (random match-ups), we would never know, from the old system, that the red server actually deserves more ratings then they actually have. It will stabilize.

1. It’s in beta testing at the moment.
2. I am 99% sure that it will not be compatible (you can’t switch servers with gems) with the known servers.
3. I believe most of the Taiwanese people already playing will not change to it, but it would surely get more Chinese speaking people to know GW2 tho.

That being said, it’s impressive to see how many people DB is having,even on this time of day. I don’t think KN ever had these numbers and I fight at this slot all the time.

I didn’t say we (everyone) can use exploits and I don’t see anywhere that I approve using such exploit. And that was a light-hearted joke about how good you guys can defend hills, being outmanned!

YB will lose again to us in MAG just like they have every other week. Once we start to pull ahead they never seem to be able to recover. YB is very strong on reset weekend but from Monday forward they slowly decline. I hope you guys from YB & DB liked getting owned in EBG last night in Zerg versus Zerg battles from 8-12 EST (NA). Especially you YB, does Mendons ring a bell?!?! Thanks again for all the loot.
