in general players queue up for solo and team queue for almost 5mins, plays, and then a player DCs ( which is not surprising when my line is fine but somehow the SERVER decides to boot you, pretty sure regular pvpers knows what i mean).

Im quite “regular”. Rank 50+, been in the top 100 and pvp pretty much every day.

I never had these server side DCs that you speak off. I must be really lucky.

What i do have is a lot of 4v5s where ppl have issues like yours (its never their own connection or PC that is the issue). Weird isnt it? In fact half of my games where 4v5s today…so much fun. And ofc everyone was the victim of anets server side problems….right?

im rank 50, and i dont get what does rank have to do with a design flaw such as this again?

who likes a 4v5 in pvp? nobody. point is, you DC, at the NEAR END of the game which has NOTHING to do with your connection, and you dont get your points, thats all im pointing out.

Fact3: the old reward system doesnt have that issue, i dont mind if they find an alternative method to fix this issue

idk why suddenly Anet decides to remove ranks and rank finishers frm pvp, the only reason im even doing pvp is with the motivation of rank finishers.

i thought that i could just play pvp casually due to irl work responsibilities, and slowly and steady earn myself that shark finisher

basically you’re on a time limit now to reach the finisher you want before they implement the new system.

D: im not someone that wanna “farm” pvp just for that, i was expecting a Shark Finisher as some sorta rewarding goal for my pvp runs, did they say when exactly will they implement the new system?

Sry about this, im rather confused when i read the new post about future rewards for spvp, lets say im at tiger rank atm, and im aiming to get to shark rank just for the finisher, will the future update remove my chance of obtaining a shark rank finisher? hope there is some official clarification on this.

They said not to post pics, and even if you do post pics it has no point if you actually don’t hover your cursor on their food buff cause it can be anything and not the healing foods. That way innocent players might get hurt for your mistake. And I won’t bother going to Dragon Ball and report players. I’ll just wait till it’s fixed. Not like the exploiters get something big out of it >_> they’re fun will end soon

ive got a screenshot with the name and type of foodbuff listed in it, pls do tell how to proceed with this, it clearly states “gain health every second”.

i think the main point im heading with this is, ppl know thakittens an exploit, and yet they choose to do it.

Hi guys, im fairly new to ranger, my main is an elementalist, since the 1st day ive been to spvp on my ele, ive always love the look of Spirits ( we get dolphins and whale underwater!). So after some time playing gw2, ive decided to give ranger a go, and i went with some sort of healing/condi support build that can bunker abit, still able to pressure, and give everyone dat Spirit Love.

At first i tried this build in normal hotjoin sPvP till i was doing well, but when i shifted to test this build in tourney matches, i got rolled pretty bad, so it was back to figuring out whats wrg, and after some tweaking, i think i finally got my sweet spot suitable for my playstyle, and many thx to several players that posted their ranger builds here to give me an idea of what to expect and what to be prepared for as a ranger, it helped me alot to be a able to play what i want.

Weapons:
Warhorn/Sword

Pets: Jaguar & Fern Hound

Again this is something i made to enjoy Spirit Ranger, it is by no means a competitive build.

My 1st problem playing this build in free tourney’s was the fact that spirits die fast to aoe, ppl tend to stack ALOT of conditions, and not to mention burst thieves that ran together in pairs, in the end i manage to play smarter abit by positioning myself better to have the full effect of spirit buffs and skills, dodge during critical shots by enemies, and know when to commit or flee a skirmish, at the end of the day, my spirits turn out to be very useful in other terms of taking dmg for me, dropping those immobilize/chill/blind to full effect, and not to mention, clearing conditions/ress me and ally/heal for me and group(elite spirit)

Weapons played a huge role in supporting my team too, ill explain why i chose warhorn/sword and shortbow.

Warhorn/Sword:
Warhorns buff is one of the reason why i took offhand training traits, so that i can give my group might/fury/speed most of the time, and since i do not use signet, its one of the speed buffs i will use often to get around the map, and the 4th skill is decent when im not facing my enemy in a direct angle to throw down some dmg, especially in Khylo on treb.

Id use sword on Necro’s, cuz they are nasty with conditions and hard to kill, shortbows tend to stack bleed on them and they might transfer em back to me, the skill 2 and 3 are good evasive skills that i use when i run out of stamina, and skill 1 is when im going all out at a target with my pet

Shortbow:
Its mostly used for putting pressure on enemy, and taking down guards or bunkerish enemy, not all thou, its also pretty decent stacking bleed and burn(sun spirit) on burst enemy, like shatter mesmers and thieves on some occasion, skill 4 to cripple, and skill 5 which is the most important skill, to save my team fast frm getting piked or interupting foes frm getting that important cast out.

Pets:
Jaguar is awsm bite bite bitey pretty much my equal staple with fern hound(f2 skill gives me regen)

I do have my losing matches, which makes me sit back abit and think about what to improve, hopefully some of our fellow rangers can point out abit on what to improve on my Spirit Ranger, thx!

if you think running 300+ fractals and getting 1 warhorn and trident skin is bad, my track record is 500+ fractal runs, NO skins. So yeah, RNG works in mysterious ways.

So as usual we were at last boss, and we decided to kill the zerker 1st, guess what? Last boss Firestorm? we got BOTH bosses up. Firestorm threw down his large AoE choke with Zerker stomping us in the mid with 0 hp, Ultimate Tag Team KILLLAAAAA!

So we wiped, its ok we thought, we just kill firestorm 1st right? after killing firestorm AND zerker? no end chest and the whole dungeon bugged, we were stranded in the middle platform. tried all sorts of methods, suiciding etc etc (which was funny coz brahms and rox keeps ressing us 1by1 before we can total wipe)

Dear Anet,

Let us trade blueprints for an account bound container item (like a bag) that when opened, gives us the same blueprint. So that way, you walk up to a vendor on an alt, trade say 5 Flame Ram blueprints for 5 Packaged Flame Ram Blueprints, go deposit them into your bank, switch characters, take the 5 packaged blueprints out, open the 5 of them, and then the other toon now has 5 Flame Ram Blueprint instead.

It’d be a bandaid fix and it’s not perfect obviously, but it’s better then what we have to do currently (spend ages giving prints to a friend and then have them give them back) and would make a nice quality of life improvement. Especially if for some reason there’s no possible way at all to make the blueprints themselves account bound.

The reason i thought of suggesting this is because ive meet several players in WvW that are mainly sPvP orientated players, they rarely pve and to be underleveled at with certain charc they owned when they go into another realm such as wvw is kinda a handicap for them. I wonder if Anet could consider adding other types of rewards for sPvP players such as consumable tokens that gives exp when they are at pve realms such as wvw. Since sPvP hardly rewards much other than sPvP gears and chest, id thought it would be a great addition. What do you guys think?

there is a solution, you guys that wants to crawl dungeon, can just group up in a guild, and do it the way you guys want, that way, not everyone is forced to play the way you want to play, just saying

rly no point in complaining about it when the instance was designed to give players an optional way of doing it legitly, skipping trash mobs had been discussed countless times, where the red tags has already said its ok no? this game was meant for casual players that has real life commitments, it would rly suck if we have to spend like an hr killing something that i deemed pointless.

Feedback on SE path2

Personally SE is my fav dungeon compared to the rest of the dungeons in GW2. Sadly its popularity is not as high as other dungeons such as AC and CoF, the amount of players willing to do it on a daily basis is small and rare, ESPECIALLY path2.

The reason im opening this thread is to give my thoughts, share my experiences or maybe to tickle Anet’s memory bout this path so it may not be forgotten. Here i will list down 3 issues IMHO that should be looked and worked upon.

1. NPC Tarleov
This part which appears right after defeating the 4 foreman was already tedious and long, but with NPC Tarleov’s Alzheimer, this part seems to be extended another 10mins coz he seems to have forgotten something…or not. NPC Tarleov’s Alzheimer is as bad as it sounds, he walks back and forth after every wave of dredge for “something” which apparently is nothing. If Anet could cure his Alzheimer, many players running this path would appreciate it. Poor ol mole.

2. Third Wondrous Bag
I noticed that all my runs on path2, the dungeon only have 2 champs that drops the bag, the 3rd one seems to be missing. I have killed all the champs available in this path, even the one guarding the mortar. Hopefully Anet would take a look into this issue as the only means of getting a soldier stat accessory through PvE is getting the “Shukov’s Launch Code Recipe” and craft it. Id say this is a serious issue.

3. Mark II’s static field
Playing Elementalist as my main, im surprised how superior Mark II’s static field is compared to ours. Maybe Anet could consider giving us Mark II’s version of static field instead of fixing it! ;p
I realized Anet previously addressed this issue like around last year? Saying that its mistakenly overbuffed. Hopefully Anet didnt forget about this it posses no huge issue for experienced and REALLY tanky players, but after running with multiple PuG’s, ive seen way too many players quitting on this part which is sad, it IS a lvl65 dungeon after all…

Hopefully Anet would at least acknowledge these issues and put serious consideration into fixing it, it would be a waste for such a beautifully designed dungeon to go to waste due to such flaws. SE dungeon is so underrated atm. Sincerely frm a SE dungeon fan.

Are you 100% sure the third bag comes from the chest?

So far I gathered lot of data on these drops “introduced” with Lost Shore patch and it seems that the bag gets replaced by named trinkets of masterwork/rare quality and on specific bosses by an exotic drop (recipe or backslot item).
That would explain early complaints about not getting 3 bags, since no1 used to notice named low quality non lvl 80 trinkets.

AFAIK tonics come from chests and in this particular case it might be possible that they replace the bag. All the considerations in the above posts would explain why this is the last one to have yet to appear on the TP (Arah 1 and Arah 4 showed up recently)

I have a thread where I’m trying to gather all the data (I’ve pinpointed almost ALL drop locations)

The fact that some of them have yet to show up for the ENTIRE population of GW2 might be a hint of something not working properly, again my main concern being that some of these have stats that are otherwise unobtainable-in-a-finite-amount of time.

i doubt so, i have been killing all the champs available in that path, no named trinkets whatsoever seems to drop from it, hence my doubt on where the 3rd bag actually is? given the history of SE path2 been bugged and overbuffed(which havent been fixed, mark2’s static field is still insanely OP lol, they said they were gonna fix it ages ago, but still not fixed i think)

So i was at least expecting an official reply on at least facts about path2, like is it normal that path2 only drops 2 bags?

My first message in this thread listed all three bags of wondrous goods obtainable from SE path 2.

This is exactly the reason why the recipe hasn’t been found – everyone skips the last chest.

Bag of Wondrous Goods in SE path 2:

1. Foreman Kreutzerova, located just before the room with the 4 boss foremen, after you get passed the first door.

2. The Taskmaster (big golem with rock shield)

3. The chest which appears after you destroy the door with the tank, at the place where you have to gather the sparkly rocks. This is the one that most people never get, cause it’s way back at the start of that room, near the stairs doing down to the room.

hmm odd, i just did path2 few hrs ago and only got 2 bags, ill double check again once i find a party willing to do it, dont recall getting one from the chest after the tank

That’s not an educated guess, that’s just a guess with no data to back it up.

I’ve never seen a dungeon drop more than 3 bags of wondrous goods, and I have listed all 3 bags from SE path 2.

The last bag is in the room with tank.

Shukov doesn’t drop loot, as he’s friendly. the golems don’t drop wondrous goods, no chance of them dropping it.

Last night I full cleared SE path 2 with some friends and explored every crevace of the level. I did find some monster spawn I hadn’t seen, but they didn’t drop loot.

I’m still 99.999% sure it drops from the lone chest after the tank destroys the door.

it feels like SE path 2 is missing a 3rd wondrous goods thou, is there other dungeons that drops 2 wondrous bags only?

Hello Azriel. I too have been looking for this recipe, here is the data I gathered, my educated guesses and theories.

We know that dungeon recipes replace the “bag of wondrous goods”

In SE path 2, there are 3 bags of wondrous goods

1. the first “general” mob, right before you kill the 4 bosses
2. the taskmaster
3. the chest that appears after the tank breaks the door.

The last boss of SE path 2 is called Shukov, so we can safely assume that this recipe is available on that path.

I highly suspect that recipe to drop from the chest that appears after you break the door with the tank, as this chest appears way out of the way, and I’m willing to bet most people don’t even know it appears.

That could be the reason it hasn’t been found, because most people don’t loot that chest.

So compound all these factors: SE is not popular, SE path 2 is very not popular, and that chest is most often times forgotten altogether.

I’m pretty kitten sure it drops from that chest. Also remember magic find doesn’t affect chest loot.

But nonetheless i hope someone from Anet’s side could give us at least a hint that it drops or exist at the very least Dx

Just curious about Shukov’s Launch Codes Recipe, does it even exist in GW2 yet?

I checked TP but it isint even listed, and as how other recipes drop, its either replacing “wonderous bag of loot” or chest, but there is no “wonderous bag of loot” nor chest to loot at the end of path2 SE

hope there is an official reply to shed a little light of assurance, the path alone is tedious to do, if some of us have been hunting something that doenst even exist yet….. D’:
