It’s a bug. They know about it and are working on it.
To possibly stop you from making a mistake, the new hairstyles and other character cosmetic things can only be selected from a makeover kit. Not by default.
Guild ore synthesizer 1 only gives copper instead of the stated copper and iron (I’ve mined several days and only ever gotten copper). Also, the guild lumber synthesizer only gives 3 lumber with the output 1 upgrade unlocked. I get 4 copper from the ore sythesizer, but just the 3 from the lumber.
So why is it that the WvW daily for capping the Ruins and killing the veteran creature are still in the rotation when they’re impossible to get? That now forces you to possibly cap a tower or even fort to get any of the WvW dailies. This doesn’t seem like it’d be that hard to fix.
You can’t sell the new insignia’s for the same reason you can’t sell celestial insignia’s: They want you to actually have to do the content to achieve a goal. Not just but everything on the TP. Although technically you can buy a legendary weapon on the TP and just stat select it =P
And the stats would be the same as any other 4 stat set 2h weapon, just with different stats (power, condi instead of toughness, vitality for example).
HoT seems more a DLC than true Expansion

It does feel like DLC, but a large meaty chunk of DLC at least. I feel that I’m going to get my money’s worth out of it as long as they continue to put in LS elements and upgrades as time goes on without additional cost (until the next substantial xpac). As per that line about all future LS updates requiring HoT, I see the $50 as a season pass.
That said, I’m not going to buy any more gems for the game (and haven’t since they announced HoT). I’ll use my game budget to pay for the expansions instead.
Btw, the living world season 2 was completely free if you were playing when it released so if you’re playing when future LW episodes come out, it’ll most likely be free for you =)
So wait… you’re saying you’ve been playing a game without mounts since beta, and that you also feel that some sort of mass exodus will happen because some mobs use mounted models?
Uh. Dude. If mounts were that important to people they would have left a long time ago. There is no mass exodus happenning over a few mounted enemies (that are mounted for gameplay design purposes, not for travel)
I hate to break it to you, but “immersive travel” has never been a staple of the guild wars franchise. We had fast travel between every town and outpost in the first game as well (and it was free) because the game isn’t designed around wasting people’s time. Running isn’t a plus in GW2. It’s a death penalty, and it has always been that way.
The idea of someone that won’t play a game because there aren’t “beast races” is strange to me. You’re missing out on a huge number of fantastic games for reasons that I don’t quite understand.
^^ Exactly
No achievements for existing leg. weapons?

The original precursors aren’t account bound. The original precursors that you actually craft with the precursor crafting IS account bound. And the achievements are for going through the process and story of getting the precursor the craft-able way. You already got your achievement for making your legendary when you bound it.
You guys must be doing something horribly wrong then, because Ranger is just fine for me. Good damage and team support. Lot’s of stuns and abilities that can break bars. You can literally heal your whole team in a few seconds if they’re positioned well. Try different builds. It feels good to me.
You can play however you want and use whatever build you want. You’re not required to do whatever other people suggest. Play your favorite play style.
You don’t need to equip the new weapon. You can still run your normal weapons and use elite spec.
Some damage on staff and CA form would be nice as most everyone else has said and not being able to move in CA 5 makes you so incredibly vulnerable to everything. I also noticed that sometimes when I’d switch into CA from I’d immediately the sent out of it and lose all my energy. Don’t know if it was from someone CCing me in PvP just as I was switching into it, but it really messed me up whenever it happened. I do actually like the current animation for the staff as well, it looks pretty cool in my opinion.
I’ve been playing since the 3-day early access of the game and only ever got 1 (maybe 2) BL-key drops from mobs. I haven’t taken any big breaks or anything either. They’re extremely rare. Increasing that rate doesn’t mean they’ll drop a lot now. It just means it’s not quite as minuscule of a chance.
So I was on the main website and decided to look at my achievement points and how they rank up against other people in my different guilds and friend list and the world in general when I noticed that it said I was top 90% and thought “Hmm, that must mean I’m pretty high up there” being that I have a bit more than 13k AP I’d believe that’s a decent thought. Then I looked at the other people’s AP that were also 90%. And it looked like basically everyone that played on a semi-regular or even spurt basis is top 90%. I looked around on different filters and found that everyone ranging from about 3050 AP to about 22550 was top 90%. That is a big gap. In that whole range of 19500 AP, everyone is considered the same and that just doesn’t seem right to me. I was wondering what it would take to do like they did in GW1 and expand the leaderboard top scorers or at least go from 10% increments to something more accurate. Or maybe put all the people who have played under a certain amount in a different category all together. Or split the top 90% into it’s own separate section. Something to set the people playing the game a few months apart from the people who have been playing consistently for the entire life of the game that just don’t happen to be in the top 1000 people. I don’t know if anyone else really cares about this at all, but I’d like to see it sometime. Maybe after HoT releases and isn’t so busy. Thanks!
