Make the system Remember which option we chose last time. Please.
Maybe I don’t want to see achievements every time I log in and want to look at my medals instead. (I personally want to see what I’ve earned already and not some milestones I’ve not yet earned)
I understand that in theory this would make me say ‘oh hey I need to do this and that in order to get that ’chest’, thanks for reminding me’. As it can be helpful, it rather bugs me than helps. I already know ‘where I am’, so let me choose myself. Thanks

Surely Ascended weps will cost a nice chunk of gold. And it would be kinda okay if we needed just One weapon, but we have multiple weapons for different purposes/specs, and upgrading them will be very long and grindy.
I can already see many ppl saying “Well, you don’t HAVE to get them, exotics are still exotics”. And there was a similar talk when Ascended tier itself arrived, but these are Weapons, they don’t only have stats, but also weapon damage, so if you want to be good, you Have to upgrade, many times. (And probably forget about specs that need different stat combos)
How is this not a GRIND of all grinds? And as I remember GW2 ‘’manifesto" saying "There won’t be any grind in our game, grinding is not fun and noone likes it", I gotta say that someone has no respect for their promises.
P.s. I Really hope I am mistaken in all of this and this implementation won’t cause more problems than the ‘advantages’ it gives. And I see it only as anoher-carrot-on-a-stick to keep people playing and grinding for something. Uh.
Knight’s armor, boon duration runeset, rest pure zerk.
10/30/0/30/0 traits, scepteter/GS, key traits were right-handed strength, pure of voice, shelter, triple shouts + renewed focus.
Basically this. After 50+ tries with various builds and weapons. But I used Staff instead of GS for healing. Used Mango Pie for extra regen (replaces AH here for good) with pure of voice/triple shouts (syg, retreat, sy), Sc/Fc+Staff
P1 – use staff until picking up 3rd orb. Switch, pop fc5 if more than 1 shade is near, safely pick up and throw orb.
P2 – first learn the pattern of shadowfall so you know where the safespot is and the Next safespot will be. Pretty easy tbh.
Make sure to target Liadri herself, not some vision. While kiting you don’t have to make circles all around arena, just kite between two safe spots. If you are in the ‘other’ (wrong atm) safe spot, use Shelter/Invul/dodge and STAY, so you don’t have to run anywhere during the next shadowfall. While in the Right safe spot, start running to next safe spot asap after shadowfall, don’t forget to Smite on CD, VoJ and autoattacking as much as you can. And don’t rush, surviving first, damage after.

When I join a party, its UI gets stuck, so I either don’t see full list of members, or even if I do, UI just gets stuck. So if someone leaves, I don’t see that. If someone joins – I don’t see that. More to that, even if we proceed to the instance, their nameplates aren’t party-colored for me. So I can’t track party members location, HP and everything. Leaves me blindfolded.
This happens Only with a regular manually created groups. So if I soloq or do hotjoins, everything’s fine.
I’ve not seen anyone else talking about that issue BUT it is REAL for me. Any hope for fix?
Does it affect condition damage?
Can’t really test it in the HotM due to dummies lacking any boons, and I didn’t find anything regarding that on forums or wiki sadly. So maybe someone knows?
15 radiance has its use sometimes. VoJ blind when stomping some professions, and it gets refreshed when the stomp is done. But in reality most times it’s on cooldown, but it’s very satisfying if you manage to do this little trick.
I’ve been running this build for the past week, I think it’s the strongest of all the builds i’ve tried. Strongest for Me at least. I use soldier amulet with celestial jewel, Divinity runes.

I suggest that pvp’ers don’t buy that much gemstore stuff as pve-only players do, but this is also true because there ain’t much of it at the moment in the gemstore.
Here’s my list of suggestions:
- Various finishers or even endless finishers.
- New special item to be used in PvP mystic forge to get a 1-slot stack of 100+ pvp salvage kits.
- PvP template/build slots
- Cosmetic weapon enchants (permanent unlock) with a new section in pvp locker to draw them from (they are added to the locker just as you purchase them, and can be withdrawed as many times as you want)
What would YOU like to have available in the gemstore for pvp reasons?

In general, Guardians are in a very sweet spot in my opinion, but surely some of the traits could use some love. So, yes, another trait ideas post, but I just love throwing my ideas to public.
Zeal:
- 5 pts: Creates a symbol of wrath when hp drops below 50% (up from 25%).
- IV Downed damage trait removed, replaced with: Burning has a chance to crit (or steady chance to deal damage twice)
- VII Healing portion from GS attacks is increased (up to 75 per attack)
- IX Added 20% CD reduction on scepter skills.
Radiance:
- I Gain 6 seconds of retaliation when using healing skill (up from 3)
- III Burn nearby foes for 5 seconds when health reaches 50% (up from 25%)
- V Boon removal on burning has CD reduced to 10 seconds.
Valor:
- III – Downed state trait removed, replaced with: When hit for more than 10% hp in a single strike, gain 3 seconds of protection (30 sec CD)
Virtues:
- I Bonus damage lingers for 2 seconds after Aegis is removed.
- IV Gain 5 seconds of retaliation when controlled (up from 3)
- VII Added 20% CD reduction on Elites.
- XII Stun breaking trait replaced with: Your successful autoattacks reduce remaining CD on virtues by 1 sec.
Weapon skills
- Focus 4 skill now no longer triggers full CD when failed to cast (Should be 3 seconds I believe as if you were interrupted)
- Shield 4 – CD down to 25 sec (from 30) -(nice skill on Way too long CD even if traited)
- Spear 4 – Added 3/4 evade frame (not necessarily needed though)
Don’t tunnel vision this as ‘buff guardians’ thread, these are mainly reworks for traits which don’t find their use for the majority.
Sure many will still go for 10% dmg to burning foes for example, but the goal is to buff another options to be at least Considered taking. Good example is Honor traitline, which is in the game. I find it perfect in terms of trait distribution and their competitive quality.
I don’t know if this all will really overbuff guardians, probably Not, but hey, these are just changes which could be done Separately, so the balance is not shattered.

I’ve tried almost every build on every single class and still they just don’t work. You can’t bunker, you can’t run skill-based power builds, you can’t even go glass efficiently, because in 2 secs you go down in AoE, be it conditions or not.
Spent dozens of hours theorycrafting, reading forums, searching builds, trying to set them up with various runes/sigils and some traitswaps. Then I get into pvp and guess what? AoE fest, everybody down, the fastest team to stomp 1st basically wins the teamfight.
Don’t know if I should just give up on my hopes to see some balance in this AoE Wars.

Yes, it’s NOT the starter, though it shares same names. It’s ‘Free tournament’ rewards, so you can get free tournament tokens sometimes when salvaging this stuff. Good luck on it though.
No prob:) But my point is that Listening is the key to improving the Game. They have ‘Suggestions’ section on these forums and I hope they DO read it on a regular basis. So the more they listen, the faster they polish the game, and as a result, the game is better, so it can attract and Hold much more players.
For a company of around 250 people the game is more than great tbh, and I tend to be rather optimic about its future.
And tbh I don’t really need a regular forum-poster CM job to be done, just wanna know that they Do know about all of these stuff and working on that. Maybe too much to ask?=/

‘Average CM salary by skill’ says that Games have an average of 23k pounds aka 34k $. Per year.
Okay let the average be 50. Divide by 12 and here we go, about 4k dollars monthly. More close to reality.

I know that it’s not that massive as Blizz, but they are hiring and GW2 sells pretty well I believe, so is it such a hard task to hire about 5 community managers really… Many people are knocked off because of lack of ANY response. A good company never EVER puts community service in a back of a train.

The Game has been around for almost one year and still many of us express clipping problems, and that means that almost Every armor+weapon clips somewhere at least on asura. Yes yes, I’m not the first on figuring this out, but Seriously. I love my asura look, but the clipping is on the edge of being undearable to look at constantly.
-Oh, you want that new fancy Zenith Greatsword? How about it would clip through your kitten as every other Gs does, huh?
I can barely find Any leg armor [talking ‘heavy’]+GS which does not clip together.
Just PLEASE change the angle greatswords are sheathed on your asuran back, I know it’s not That hard.
Just some community managing work would be nice, guys, atleast RESPOND on forums more often than once in 3-4 months. You should seriously learn from Blizzard here. The game is great and I love it, but all these little things are very, very annoying. Atleast we should know you LISTEN…
You mean Adrenal Health as an active ability which is in our spellbook? Interesting, but 75% over 5 sec is too much imo. I’d say 4-7-10. Hey, 50% plus a standard heal is more than good. But I’d adress movement abilities more.
WEAPON SKILLS:
Sword:
- #2 Savage leap: strike on landing inflicts bleeding.
- #5 Counterattack always crits.
Burst skill: pretty hard to land, so make it either instant cast or add a 300 range leap to it.
Hammer:
- #4 Staggering Blow: ½ sec cast time (down from ¾). If no enemies are hit, reduce active CD by 50%.
Longbow:
- #1 Dual shot: Now bleeds the foe with each arrow if target is on fire.
- #4 Smoldering arrow: Now uses ground targeting.
- #5 Pin Down: Now strikes all foes in line.
Axe:
- #4 Dual Strike: Damage increased by 30%.
- #5 Whirling Axe: CD reduced to 15 sec (down from 20)
Greatsword:
- #5 Rush: Now hits faster when reaching the target.
Burst skill: ½ sec cast time (down from ¾)
Mace:
- #1 Now hits slightly faster.
- #2 Counterattack always crits.
- #5 Now travels faster, CD reduced to 20 sec (down from 25)
Rifle:
- #3 Volley: CD and damage reduced by 40% (is now on 6 sec CD). This makes overall damage more steady, and you spend less time just autoattacking.
- #4 Brutal shot: always crits (still 1 sec cast time).
Warhorn:
- #4 Also grants regeneration to all allies affected.
Shield:
- #4 CD reduced to 20 sec (down from 25). If an enemy is immune to stun, gain 4 secs of Fury.
- #5 CD reduced to 25 sec (down from 30). If you are not hit for the duration, gain 3 stacks of might.

TRAITS
Make all the falling damage traits minor for all classes.
Strength:
- T1: banners do (2x more) damage and grant 4 secs of Fury to all allies in 600 range when summoned.
- Minor: Using a burst skill gives 3-5 sec of Vigor (old – ‘restore endurance’)
- T2: Apply 3 stacks of confusion each time you interrupt a foe.
- Minor: clarify the damage bonus in tooltip (when endurance is not full).
Arms:
- T1: 33% chance to gain swiftness on critical hits for 3 sec (up from 10%, 6 sec cd).
Defense:
- Minor: Extra armor while health is above 80%.
- T1: When you rally, you gain 3 seconds of stability and protection.
When you strike a weakened foe, you gain might (5 sec) - T2: 170 bonus toughness while using a shield.
- T3: 5 seconds of retaliation and protection when receiving a crit. (15 sec cd)
Tactics:
- T1: Gain stability and regeneration when your health reaches 30%.
- T2: Longbow damage is increased by 20% against burning foes.
- Minor: Grant might and regeneration(or protection) to you and your allies when you revive them.
- T3: Warhorn skills rip 1 boon from all enemies affected, convert 1 condition into boon on you and your allies. WH skills -20% CD. (okay, may sound like an overkill but 2 boons ripped with pretty long CDs on WH even with reduction is pretty balanced imo).
Discipline:
Passive burst damage gain increased x3 (up to 9%)
- T1: Your burst skills are refreshed when you kill a target.
Run even more (25%) faster while using melee weapons. - Move ‘movement skills break immobilize’ to T1 from T2.
- T2: : Increases damage done by 50% and 100% chance to rally if you kill someone while in Vengeance.
- Minor: Gain fury for 3 sec on weapon swap.

SKILLS:
- Healing Skills: Due to warriors having high HP, their healing skills heal for rather low % of overall HP. I assume adding like 15-20% to each heal.
- Throw Bolas: Bolas need to land either Really fast or even instantly, followed by fast animation to make any real use of them.
- Bull’s Charge: 25 sec CD (down from 40) but the knockdown is 1 sec only.
- Stomp: 35 sec CD (down from 1 min), the damage is doubled.
- Dolyak Signet: boost passive toughness to 170 (up from 90).
- Frenzy: The attack speed bonus is 50% now, so +25% damage taken is enough.
- Battle Standard: reduce CD to 180 (down from 240). Initial stability buff is 5 sec. (up from 3). But this also leads to tweaking active duration time of the banner.
- Rampage: 1.5-2x damage boost while in this form (make it on par with Lich)
Hello everyone, these are my thoughts on fixing and balancing the warrior.
The goal is to make it more competitive in t/spvp and not make it an overkill in in pve/wvw at the same time.
In my opinion, the damage is fine IF you can stay on your target AND stay alive for a reasonable amount of time. So generally, my tweaks address mobility and longevity of a warrior, but some damage tweaks also take place.
[!] Note that it can be also achieved by further splitting of skills, which Anet said they will do, but some tweaks are needed to be done in general.
