If Rune of Thorns procs from the raid boss aoe dmg, than yes it is very good. 250-300 condition dmg wins against berzerker 5% condi dmg bonus.

I know that and and you use Scepter+dagger all the time. It is not rly the biggest problem of geomancy . Only problem is the melee range.

Agree with you on condi reaper > power reaper, anytime.
But about your damage, seems pretty good if you can maintain that. For how long you can keep the jagged horrors alive? And after they die how much your dps suffer? What is the average there?

As you can see Lich is on cooldown 105sec. They live easily 180sec than you can spawn them again(till split phase, they die in split phase because of no heals). They take 95% less dmg and with bloodmagic they lifesteal a lot.

I can confirm ~12k DPS with my condi Reaper and it is much more better than a power Reaper. With Ranger Sun Spirit(yes it is bugged but who cares, icebow was bugged too) I can reach easily over 15k dps in Phase 1 ,after that it drops because of Boss split mechanics. But I can confirm ~ 20k-25k DPS spikes. It is not the whole time, but Im still doing my 12k dps after that burst dmg.

Look on the 2nd screen. Im not using Dhummfire Reaper and no capped Mightstacks in a random Raid. Im already at 20k “burst” DPS and Soul Spiral CD is rdy with only 20 Might stacks, Soul Spiral will push my DPS in a fire field over 25k “burst” dps.

p.s: Im 99% sure CondiReaper > Gravedigger spam. Power necro is ok for tanking.

All what you need is Rise+Bloodmagic Traits. Go max Berzerker if possible. Need only more toughness to get the aggro.

3. Viper gives up Precision. You apply bleed on crit; the higher the better.

Condi Reaper has already 100% crit chance no need to go sinister for more precision because it is useless.

For long fights Condi Duration is always better like high level Fractals and Raids. Cap your Condiduration at 100% and after that go for sinister.

If you’re playing condi reaper, you need to be taking dhuumfire and reaper attack speed. You can turn that 1k chill into an easy 3-4k burn consistently. Be sure to get your mushrooms too. Not to mention the auto attack damage not being half bad in its own right. Not to mention minion and life siphon ticks

I dont get it, disagree with Dhummfire.

First of all you dont have 100% uptime with RS. Lets say mabe 70% uptime. What this means is 5k bruning dps doing only 3,5k dps.

And how do you turn 1k dps chill to 3k-4k dps burning?

I imagine we’re pretty great to have around for break-bars, especially Reapers with all the Chill to the Bone and Shroud 5, plus the fears.

Flesh Golem > Chill to the Bone for break-bars.

Sry but dungeons are so easy, necro is always viable, people that laugh have no idea what they are doing and just copying stuff from meta builds and think oh necro is not meta just not take them, sry but if you dont want a world record speedrun than play it and dont give a kitten what others think about necro.

25 sec 50% dmg reduction in raids?? They dont degenerate life and take 95% less dmg from aoe attacks???

Reaper is maybe the best tank in raids while still doing over 10k dps.

Yes Curses may give more tools to Hybrid then Spite, but the Spite gives u Might, 20% dmg below 50% HP so Id say its still a hard choice. I think it depends what Weapons u wanna use in your Hybrid Sinister build or if u gonna base it all around AA in RS.

I think spite is better for RS AA, it gives you easy 25xMight and 25xvulnerability stacking and “close to death”.

This way you can drop Sigil of Strength, which is pretty useless as Necro. Get Sigil of Earth or Force. Increased condi duration sigils are pretty bad too, Sigil of Earth will do more dmg than

Im not 100% sure how much condition:power this build does, but for runes I would take Rune of Flamelegion, 45% burn duration,+ power and 7% dmg against burning enemies.

I thought first this skill is for PvP but, there are 2 encounters in Fractals where you can abuse the unblockable mechanic, which is very helpful. We can do this with unblockable marks but meh.

1) Thaumanova Reactor Fractal : Champion Subject 6 “Shield Form”. Instead of waiting, you just interrupt the boss and DPS him down.

2) Volcanic Fractal : Legendary Imbued Shaman “Shield Bubble”. Stun/Chill/Slow the boss. He is never going to reach a NPC even with bad DPS groups.

Anybody knows more encounters like this, where unblockable attacks are helpful? Maybe later in Raids this is going to very important.

They dont force you to play pvp or wvw. They only want to create a new market for pvp and wvw playersBut this can backfire, new players will think omg he is 80 with uber gear and he is stealing my kills. Many PvE players are going to buy them because they can earn faster gold than getting it from playing pvp

Can we please get DS always as a Staff weapon kit? The rarity should scale of the player’s equipped weapon.

It makes no sense to do less dmg while holding Dagger and Axe in DS than while holding a Staff.

I would just like it to be a combat log that gets saved to disc that we can comb AFTER a fight to determine what went wrong.

Yea it doesnt needs to be a live DPS Counter on my screen , it is even enough to see some combat details after the fight is done.

Well you can already see if someone is supporting you or not, you can see the buffs, ress etc but not the dmg done by a player. I sure want a complex DPS tool like in Wildstar too, but I think not gonna happen.

GW2 is realy like driving a car without a Tachometer. Imagine, you need to calculate everytime how fast you drive from A to B, because your car has no Tachometer.

If Raids are going to be that hard, that only the experienced and coordinated players can kill it, than give us please a DPS Tool, at least the ability to see our own DPS. With “Enrage Timers” I rly want to know how much DPS I`m doing, without knowing your DPS, you cant improve your gameplay. Players will start to test new builds, new rotations etc. I know from other MMORPGs that you are never going to use the same build/rotation for every raid boss, it will be different. In a 10min fight you are going to mess up a lot with your rotation, but with a DPS tool, you will start to improve yourself each week.

Raids are for Guilds, if you are in a Guild than the people will accept you, they are not going to kick you out of a raid because of your DPS. They will accept you and even teach you to get better at the game.

BTW there is already a META or KICK without any DPS tools, so it will not change anything for the pugs. Im only asking for a personal DPS Tool, that only shows your own DPS.

Btw with Death magic you have already 30% protection uptime without any boondurations. .With Speed of shadows 42% protection uptime + Spectral Armor 65% protection uptime, Dropping under 50% HP gives you again a 9 sec protection (in a 40 sec fight that would be 87% protection uptime. 87% protection uptime without any boon durations. You say REV has 90% protection uptime, yea dont need that kitten. Get with necro some boon duration , example from a Rev 50% boon duration you are on a necro over 100% Protection uptime!!

Protection -33% reduction, Poison -10% , Chill -10%, Rise -50% (73,7% less dmg?), let say all Raid bosses have unblockable attacks. Than necro is maybe the super tank.

No it wouldnt , what this means is they cant increase our dmg, and what more important is our ability to scale our damage is already at maximum, you can increase your crit dmg and get some multipliers but thats all.

Gravedigger spam from what I saw does at least 20k DPS. 32k crits every 1,25 sec =25,6k DPS , I dont know the aftercast animation times. Add to this Nightfall+Wells+Whirl Finisher.

Back to engineers : 4k burn ticks, 4k bleed ticks, 1k poison ticks, 5k direct dps =14K DPS without Sinister Set

I dont know what you guys are talking about…Reaper Meta incomming? I have no time to calculate the numbers in the beta , others will do it for you.

Spite line is already the strongest , it doesnt matter what you play, you should always take Spite for condi or power, because it makes stacking Might and Vulnerability easier and that is a lot of dmg. Dont need to buff it more.

Its just an example you can change the numbers. Nobody going to use this terrible Shouts with casttime. The question is what do you want with 50 Might Stacks that you cant have, because its capped at 25.

I think the reaper can stack to easy 25x Mights. “You are all Weaklings” gives you 20xMight for 5 sec. But nobody needs so much Might Stacks. Its already very easy to stack 25xMight with just spamming Shroud 1, or from the group members etc.

What if one of the Shouts REMOVED 10xMight(10-15) stacks from the Necro and give 5xMight to our allys? Something like Boon transfer.

People will still use precision because outside of the reaper you loose 50% crit chance. Take Dhuumfire instead of Deaths perception. Still 100% in and outside of Reaper + Burning.

Necro in Raids

What dou you think , will we get a place in Raids? If Raids are just “full dps dodge everything” than nobody is going to take a Necro, because we have 0 group Buffs.

There are only 3 things where a Necro can be useful in Raids :

1) 10man Condition Raid: Everybody stacks conditions on 1 enemy and 1-3 Necro spamming Epidemic to spread them out(Imagine +50bleed, +50burn, +30posion 3x Epidemic). This is only useful for very hard AoE Encounters or for bosses where Condition does much more dmg than Power Builds.

2) Boon removing from enemys. Maybe Bosses etc will use a lot of Boons where you need to remove them. If not needed than this utility from Necro is useless.

3) Removing Condition from Allys : Other classes can do this too, I dont know if you need a Necro for this, but at least we can do this very good.

If we dont need this 3 above in Raids, than what is the “Job” of a Necro in Raids? We have no group Buffs. Im 100% sure nobody is going to take a Necro if you dont need this things in a Raid. For DPS there are other classes which can do the same or more DPS than a Necro and still giving Buffs for the group.

Use both.
1) Before DS, change to axe.
2) After DS, use axe2.
3) Switch back to dagger for non kitten dps
4) have enough LF, go to (1)

or do this, it is more faster without the dagger.

1)Before DS change to focus
2)After DS, use axe 2 and focus 4
3)Switch back to Warhorn and use 5
4)Back to DS again in nearly 4 seconds.

Warhorn 5 + “Reapers Precision” is op for DS build but a lot of people dont know it. You will gain LF instead of losing in DS while Locust swarm is up.

Who uses dagger for LF generation? It is to slow.

For DS build use Axe+Warhorn(for aoe)/Focus(for single target) and axe trait gives 10% more dmg for DS.

Warhorn 5 with DS gives you against 5 targets more than 70%-100% life force in 10 second. Spec “reapers precision” if you are using warhorn and a DS build.

Well PvE balance is very bad. while warriors are doing 80k dmg with 1 skill you are kitten with your conditions. Im not playing condition anymore but, even with berzerker gear I get the aggro most of the times because some bosses will just only attack people with ranged weapon and ignore melees(even if you stay in melee range). So sometimes we are forced to use that dumb dagger.

Well that is not that much, with some of the last patchs they nerfed the dmg. Icon says 1500 dmg but it does only 200 dmg per hit ,maybe a bug .No need to nerf the dmg in pve.

Just wanted to tell you guys. This rune is same like Undead and it is in my opinion even better because of the 1000 hp lifeleech. That means your heal has 1000 more heal and you can get a 1000hp heal every 15 seconds. This is better than the 50 Toughness. You will lose as a full rapid player ~30 condition dmg, but as a dire player gain more condition dmg.

People are complaining to much. just play the game. Before this meta Necros and Warriors were weak like Mesmers and Eles are now.(they changed the places)

But Necros and Warriors never complained so much like you guys.
