I have been working on my legendary crafting and I bought all of the tier 1 collections. I have been just getting the items as I go the areas in normal play (not actively farming these collections).
My question is that after we get the items needed for these collections, can we get rid of them or will the items be needed for the tier 2/tier 3 collections or for anything else? All of these collection items are filling up my bank. 4 of my 18 characters are now being used as extra bank space.
This question also applies to non legendary collections like the books for Zinn’s Prize Student, the Specialization Collections (eg Mistward Pauldrons), and every other collection.
Can I dispose of the collection items after I get them and they show up in my collection?
I am requesting mod response just to be certain.
I asked this question a couple weeks ago. I got PM’d by 2 players both said that they are very rare to get; but you get them from any mushroom node in game (button mushrooms, portabello mushrooms, varied mushrooms, and sawgil mushrooms).
One of them told me after 12 hours of jumping map to map to map farming only mushroom patches he only had 5 indigo mushrooms.
On Behalf of myself and everyone else that was effected by this loss of map completion (re-fogging). Thank you for finally getting this fixed. It is very much appreciated.
I was in my guild hall, I clicked leave guild hall to go run a story with my guild and as soon as I loaded back into Divinity Reach I had a pop up stating that the first HoT story is now available.
I am currently on story #10 (this still shows where I am story wise). However, the BIG ISSUE is that everything in the HoT maps is reset on my main character which I use in HoT. I had roughly 70% map completion on all 4 maps now all show 0%. I had to use a teleport to party member item to bypass running through silverwastes or exiting from our guild hall.
The same thing happened to another member of our guild but not the other 2 who were online at the same time. Both of us who were affected by this were in the guild hall then we left when it all started.
I love my candy corn node in my home. I was almost able to buy a new halloween pail (20 slot inventory bag for 3000 corn or 3 cobs) right when the halloween event started.
Although I really like almost everything about HoT, I do agree with Wiseguy. HoT is much too small to really be considered an expansion. When HoT was announced I was expecting it to be similar to Eye of the North Expansion of GW1; encompassing all (or at least most) of the maps surrounding Tyria.
The events are fun, the maps are beautiful, but there’s not enough variety and it has become a “grind fest” repeating the same events over and over and over…and over. Which I find gets quite boring quickly.
I think that was the main point in Wiseguy’s post. Heart Of Thorns is just too small to really be considered an expansion.
I’m wondering is anyone has found any Indigo Mushrooms. If so how do you get them? Wiki only states that “This item is not gathered from any resource node.” I have looked on Dulfy and Reddit and there is no information to be found. I am in need of some for Legendary Crafting collection(s).
Please if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
I was testing this new specialization out in WvW with a regular size party and occasionally with 2 parties present. I really thought it was cool and enjoyable; I especially loved the animations and the looks of the new skills. However, casting wells in my opinion has too long of a cast time. Even just with a 5 player team by the time I started casting a 3rd well all NPC’s in a camp were dead.
Well Casting needs either a cast time decrease, an animation time decrease, or a mix of both.
… Never hardcore..we don’t care what you play, how you choose to play or what armor you wear. We only care if you’re a fun person.
I think you left out …“or any armor at all” after “what armor you wear” LOL.
Although it’s quite common for many people to get used to using certain words to display emotion. When they are over used (as this thread states) they often lose their appeal. its like an achievment saying good job for sticking with this character so long.
Wait long enough and your other characters will get it as well
You get the birthday gift once and that’s it, not once per character. I know this because I created all 8 of my now lvl 80 toons within the 1st 10 min of the pre-purchase release.
I was looking forward to this years birthday gift just to be let down, all 4 items are completely useless to most players who’ve been around the 2 years.
First of all, the experience booster that makes a toon lvl 20 doesn’t stack with the ones we got last year and how many players are going to buy a new slot and create a new toon just to use this? I already have 18 toons (16 are above lvl 20 and other 2 are parked at jumping puzzles).
Secondly, The skill point scroll. Big woopi, you get these (well the 1 skill point ones) on a regular basis. Although skill points are very useful for many things, when you’ve been playing for 2 years, you’re less likely to need this scroll.
Item 3 the Birthday Booster, ultimately the only decent thing from the year 2 birthday gift.
Finally, the Birthday Blaster. I thought this item was cool initially, but when I noticed it’s soulbound, you only get one birthday gift per account, and it doesn’t stack with food it then becomes another item to clutter my inventory or bank.
I was very disappointed with this year’s birthday gift.
If you are from North America or South America and have ever considered transferring to an EU server and have loads of fun then [NUDE] is definitely a guild to consider! I am not a member of [NUDE] (I am in a guild of close friends since GW1) but when they were on their former NA server I hung out with them alot and had a blast. I found WvW boring until I started to hang out with [NUDE]. So if you want to make the game more fun while playing in am EU server, I would highly recommend giving [NUDE] a try!
I finally got credit, what I did was stay on top of moa’s spamming my 1 skill and occasionally an AOE skill I do not think I got any killing shot on any mob. Just make sure you’re at the spawn when the event starts (40 min past hour) and stay on top of the moa’s (I stayed in the middle of the moa’s). Attack mobs quickly so they attack you and not the moa’s
I’m not fully understanding how to get the achievement for the moa’s. I personally stomped 7 mobs and did aoe damage to many more while doing the moa escort event on Crystal Desert main server. I did not get the achievement; however, there were a few who did the exact same event at the same time who got the achievement. One person said he didn’t attack anything and got it. Would a mod please explain exactly the requirements to get the achievement when all 7 moa’s are saved. We had a Anet Mod running with us (it was approximately 1:45pm Eastern Time).
I extremely disagree with this. I feel that the crafting stations in the BL’s should be removed. They are of no use in WvW. Players crafting in WvW are just taking up a player position that could be given to a player who will actually be useful to the team as a whole.
So, Tequatl still hasn’t spawned. It’s been 4 hours and 45 min since he spawned last in Crystal Desert and it’s been 3 hours and 30 min since server reset. People said that Anet posted on Twitter that he reset to his old timer, which if I remember right was 3 hours + a 30 min window after the end of the previous spawn. Well if that’s the case then his window just ended. I have constantly been monitoring these forums in regards to Tequatl and seen no response from any Mod. I’m not impressed. We should have seen some response by now in forums. I can not confirm the twitter post because I don’t use and refuse to use twitter. This is the official forums for GW2 why aren’t Anet using these forums for communication to the players? This should be their first response location then twitter, facebook etc. If I knew that it would have been 5 hours between spawns I would have left the area to do other stuff. Again I’m not impressed.
This is a suggestion thread to the developers of GW2 for achievements more specifically dungeon achievements. I’m writing this because I know many people who are in the same predicament as myself.
What I would like to see incorporated into the achievement section is a list of what part have been completed for the achievement. I would like to see this because I find it hard to remember which path’s I have completed to finish the achievement. For example: My Manor Magnate achievement is sitting at 3/4 because it’s been probably 8-9 months since I’ve done Caudecus’s Manor.
My suggestion to make this more user friendly is to incorporate a list of all the paths needed for the achievement where it states “suggested locations”. When you complete the path a check mark appears beside that path.
This suggestion I would also like to apply to the dungeons discovered achievement in the hero tab. A list of all the dungeons instead of the “suggested locations” and when the story mode is done a check mark appears.
This would save many people a lot of time in redoing dungeons just to try to figure out which paths they have missed for their achievement. There are many players who don’t overly enjoy dungeons and only do them for the achievements. (BTW I’m not one of those, but there are some dungeon paths that I did find rather tedious and long that I would rather not have to do again because I cant remember which path it was.)
To sum this post up, ANET please add a tracker to achievements so us players can figure out what part of the achievements we are missing.
The same has happened to me. I’ve ran zones 1,2 and 3 all in a row and all separate a few times now both solo and with groups and my scholar is stuck at 1/3 . Since this is my last achievement for the overall achievement for world 1 “Miner in Achievement” and my “Distinction in Applied Jumping” title I’m rather annoyed that it’s bugged and not giving me the achievements.
Well I figured out what it was thanks to this thread stating that it will not reward in infantile mode. However, I dont recall ever doing it in any other mode to get my 1/3. Oh well, I have it done now.

During the Halloween event I was running around with the Master Carver title, now it shows I have 0 pumpkins carved. What happened?
