I am so glad I’m not the only one having these issues! I’ve been crashing like mad crazy since the expansion released. Usually a tell-tale sign that I’m about to crash is that I get these strange graphical glitches somewhere in the UI. Most of the time it’s either on the map or my Hero interface. It seems to be related to how long you play, so it’s probably some sort of memory issue.

I’ve crashed in WvW, Southsun and several times in Maguuma, so it’s certainly not related to a specific location… Seriously hope this gets fixed soon.

What is the conversion ratio from Skill Points to Hero Points? My Warrior had well over 400, if not 500 Skill Points before HoT with World Completion as well, but I still don’t have enough Hero Points to unlock everything. Albeit I’m really close…

EDIT: Nevermind I just read on the wiki that:

Skill points earned through level rewards or skill challenges (now known as hero challenges) were discarded.

…and the majority of the skill points I earned were from leveling.

So is obtaining Mastery Points different from unlocking Mastery Tracks?

I’m still a little confused how I obtained 31 in the first place? Where did that number come from? The Wiki isn’t very detailed about how much you obtain from each source.

Level 80, beat the game, World Completion, had over 400 skill points, etc…

I agree autoloot mastery skill should apply to WvW as well…

I could see a special Mastery line for WvW being useful. Especially for those of us who LOVE WvW with a passion. I wouldn’t mind being able to unlock new skills for WvW. The only rewards we have now is just our ranks.

The first time I jumped into the new borderlands I found a large zerg to follow. We had no problems breaking into the (formerly) Garrison and continued to pound on the Keep Lord for awhile. Then a huge enemy zerg ported in and my game crashed.

Haven’t played WvW since.

Yeah i’m curious as well. I have 31, but I cannot spend any of them?

I’m assuming you have to unlock the “trees” first in order to spend the points, but then what’s the point of having them in the first place when you still have to unlock them?

Also I have World Completion.

Honestly I do NOT like the “Hero Points”. I think they should have just kept them as Skill Points instead. It makes finding them on the map more difficult compared to all the new icons they threw on the map. I miss the blue chevron.

Although I do appreciate the reduction in total Hero Points required. Thank you.

Well that’s pretty lame! I hope they change that, because I agree it would be super beneficial in WvW.

I cannot agree more! Allowing free players into WvW will destroy the community more-so than it already has been. PLEASE Anet restrict them to EOTM, or AT LEAST only allow them to join using level 80’s only and not take positions in the queue’s before those who do pay.

OMFG they roll out this new patch and break more than they add… First off it takes me multiple attempts and variations in order to get the game to launch, and that’s after completely removing SweetFX, deleting the bin AND manually setting the ‘assetsrv’ to a specific address. Then we cannot even speak in Guild Chat and I attempt to set my status to ‘invisible’ and the game crashes. Now I cannot even get the game to launch again >.<

I’m pretty sure “professional players” don’t browse these forums. I myself am a pretty decent support elementalist but I don’t consider myself a “professional”.

Concerning the topic at hand I personally feel that you should stat towards your playstyle. Every, if not most, Elementalists play different.

No copyrighted music that doesn’t belong to ArenaNet. Doesn’t matter how you acquired/streamed it.

Well that ruins most of my videos!
I can’t play GW2 without my own music playing, and I tend to record at the same time. How about if you guys mute the audio and throw in your own? Either way I can’t guarantee that ALL my video’s have music, so look around you may find one that you like!

I’ve had Verizon for the entire release of GW2 and never had this issue until today. Hopped on a Comcast VPN and it worked great. What is going on Anet?

I’d vote for this.

I’d love to see some of these screenshots because personally I’ve never seen or heard of anyone hacking in WvW. Besides the usual glitches and bugs.

sPvP players don’t get experience by playing in it. In WvW, players gain experience from events and killing things.

I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, just pointing out that the two don’t really compare.

Players also got experience for the LA events. And much more of it than they would have gotten if they’d spent that time playing WvW. And yet, they could still buy tomes.

Fair enough! That is a better comparison, although the LA content was not permanent content.

As I posted in the other thread I’d return to FOTM if they added this. I quit playing FOTM a year ago when I realized RNG hates me nearly 300 fractals later.

I play just as much as OP but I’ve gotten the 10/10 on the first week! The tourny achievements are super easy. If you want to complain about difficult and nearly impossible achievements to obtain then talk about the regular WvW achievement where you have to grab 1,000,000 yaks, 500,000 escorts, or spend 10 supply!

Mine seems to be lower than I expected as well. I play WvW a lot and I seriously thought I had more WXP than what I was given. I had about 3-4 characters with about 50 Rank on each and another one with about 100, but I only got Rank 138? What?

I agree. It appears that Anet is neglecting WvW yet again. Of course the WXP Account Bound change is epic I was expecting more.

What? In my opinion I think they should allow MORE players into WvW maps. The map is just way to big to have 40-50 player caps. That’s just not viable. Are you trying to make WvW as empty as PVE zones? If you don’t like it go play sPVP scrub.

Personally I always hated having those annoying solo thiefs hiding near spawn picking off people and instantly running away when they’re about to lose. I think this tactic should stay in sPVP as it does not belong in WvW. Yes it may be a unique tactic to help benefit your server but I highly doubt that’s why people like you do this…

Yes solo roaming has it’s benefits in WvW but again I’m almost positive most solo thieves don’t care about their own servers score when they do things like this.

Let me start off by saying the new Traits are freaking amazing! I really like what you did with them.

Now one suggestion that comes to mind is concerning how you unlock new traits. There was this one Warrior Trait that I wanted to unlock and it pointed me to one location in Orr. So I spent the 3 silver to travel to Orr just to find out that there is no event for me to complete. It appears that you have to wait for the Group Event to spawn and there HAS to be other people there in order to complete it.

Personally I believe this should be altered to allow people to do events when they like. Or have them as some sort of quest or dynamic event. I don’t know just a thought. I just hate having to wait for an event to spawn in order to get what I want. Typical RNG BS.

WvW suggestion here.

WvW seems to be neglected with features as of recently. The best thing you did so far was to make WXP Account Bound. Thank you kindly for that, but we expected more.

How about making a similar Rewards Track that you have in sPVP function the same way but in WvW?

I figured I’d throw in my two cents as well concerning this new wardrobe update. Because who knows maybe one more comment about this subject may be the tipping point for Anet to finally listen to its playerbase.

First off let me say that this new wardrobe feature was a step in the right direction but I personally think they could have done better. The ability to use outfits on multiple characters and in combat easily with the vault is brilliant. Although I’m extremely saddened that we can no longer mix and match sets. I, along with many of my friends, had customized their costumes with multiple sets such as my GW2 t-shirt, Mad King boots and gloves, Devil Horns, and Rider pants. Now all those sets are separate from each other and turned into tonics.

Why would Anet do this? I’m not sure anyone knows why but we are confident that they can fix this and will fix this soon! One simple solution would probably be to have all costumes/outfits/items into their own vault separated by pieces. That way you can customize your costume like you can customize your armor. Head, chest, gloves, pants, boots, item. Instead of having just one slot for everything.

Please Anet, please from the bottom of our RP hearts can you re-think your decisions on doing this? Can you return the highly customizable outfits/costumes back to us?

This was an epic relief to the WvW stress as of recently. Glad to be a part of the GoM community!

I honestly don’t care that much about the Downed State. Doesn’t bother me or anyone I play with.

I’ve said it before, and I will repeat it here. We are aware of the problems with the WvW achievements and will be doing more to address them in the near future. Currently it is more complicated to solve the problems than I would like, which means we need to have a fully comprehensive solution before doing anything.

What does ANet consider “in the near future”?

I like the idea of bringing old items back but then that makes them that less special…Now more people will have the items that were limited and they aren’t so special anymore.

I’d still like to see the ability for us to have larger parties/groups. Instead of a five player cap. Many times have we wanted to group everyone together and easily communicate between everyone, see their resources and location on the map. Having a ‘raid’ like party would benefit a lot of guilds/teams in my opinion. Squad is something they need to work on and improve.

Then it is going to take us a LONG time to get AP.

Heal-o-tron is a brilliant idea in my opinion. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen players laying of the floor dead waiting for a revive. Especially at events like this where you cannot waypoint back. I myself find it difficult to revive players when I’m too busy trying to avoid lasers and a bunch of adds especially when I’m attempting to get some achievements.

I’m seeing a lot of these threads after Anets ‘fix’. I’d hate to have to respond to each of these threads saying the same thing. I really hope that we’ll hear from a Dev soon. I know this isn’t being ignored but not having a response to this is just frustrating.

I’m also sure that Anet is just as frustrated with our response to their ‘fix’ as we are with their attempt at removing ‘zerging’ of events.

It’s sad to say that I kind of agree with the OP. I understand that Anet wanted to remove the zerging of events, but I don’t think they should have attempted this IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EVENT. While everyone has already played through the event and figured it out.

Now like most players I don’t want to play the event again because it is highly unlikely that my server will even GET to Scarlet again. Here’s hoping that Season 2 will be better!
