Guild Wars 2

My only ‘complaint’ is that I am maxed out on the EXP bar in Central Tyria because I have only one CT MP and to get any more I have to do areas I am not accustomed too.

Not that I won’t do them at some point, and none are impossible, but it doesn’t motivate me much when I can’t train the next bar in the progression even if I can’t master the previous one.

It would have been nice to be able to switch bars even in the same tier, max them out and when I accumulate enough MPs, click ‘train’ and the trait(s) become active.

This way I am at least seeing progression.

As for Grinding? I’ve become quite accustomed to the task in any MMO I play, so while it can be annoying, it’s not a deal breaker in any sense.

IMO, any section requiring a wait to get into a map to do, I.E. Dragon Stand, should not be on the list of dailies; ever.

I’m perfectly fine if the over all list has items I don’t want to do and I am limited in collecting my three; but at least the choice should be mine, alone.

And yes, I am well aware DS was one of so many dailies… but that is not the basis of my opinion.

sigh same here, just tried to do the Blighted Pale Tree, and went to activate the Rift… about 9 times, no luck.

Need this fixed, or given credit for it, whatever, cause I am attempting to finish the end game for HOT and can’t progress.

When I began GW2, I went ranger.. enjoyed collecting the pets and having a second to fight with me.. did ranger types in WOW when I used to play. So, I put everything into Ranger- 20 slot bags all across the board, all the harvesting tools, ect ect.

Then I played Reaper.

Ranger’s now a cat ‘lady’ at home with all her pets.

I was thinking the same thing, to have a mini-version of my character tagging along… or, better yet.. any of the chars you may have on your account as select-able minis, but as you said; because of the skins, beyond doable.

The only comment I’ll add to this, is speaking solely for myself, I am having more difficulty collecting masteries in Tyria to complete levels than I am in HOT where there are much more Masteries to collect, and an easier time doing so. Many of the masteries in core Tyria come from content I do not enjoy, or have much experience, in playing. Because of this, my EX bar has been maxed out for over a month in Tyria where as in HOT I am slowly leveling up just fine.

I have my own issues with the expansion, but I paid for it, and I am playing it and I still enjoy GW2.

Or, another idea: When ever a player logs into the game, a pop up appears (similar to the hints early on in the game) with a message about Gold Sellers and tips on what the usual messages will look like and not to purchase Gold from unknown sources. Every single player will see this message and then they can click on “Don’t show this again” but now, those who may have been duped have been given a heads up.

Cause not everyone comes to the forums but anyone who plays the game will have been given the heads up and once they dismiss the message, they carry on normally.

There’s no end all be all fix to this issue, so I know it may not be the best absolute solution, but one that doesn’t trigger false bans or the like. Perhaps it will spark an idea that actually works best down the road.

Suggestion – Anytime "someone’ sends a whisper or announcement that has certain key words in it, like “So much gold for $” since most messages have a similar delivery, immediately after you get such a message, Anet sends a auto message as well warning that the message you just received could likely be from a suspect account.

This way, every honest player in the game, especially those who could be duped by said gold sellers, gets a warning message that pops up in their chat box directly below the message they received from the spam account.

This doesn’t ban anyone, it just gives every single person a heads up that what they just got is likely a spam message… and maybe even Anet’s message could add a link for you to fill out a form with the name of the person/bot who sent the message, the time day and so on… so Anet can research the issue more.

This way all those fake/spam accounts not only get tracked and banned but no one will take them up on their offers to begin with and with no way to succeed many will eventually stop trying.

What extra bank space from HoT? I may be remembering wrong but I thought HoT gave you a character slot, not a bank slot.

If you’ve bought a bank tab you can’t use you should contact Support and get it refunded.

My error, I do know that I got them as part of ‘something’ and I did not buy them directly as I was already maxed.

And I can agree one can manage their banks differently than another.. I do have a weakness for hoarding. But I don’t buy the storage ex panders for a reason.. regular bank expansions would have been more usable.

Has there been any discussion about expanding the bank tabs limitations past 11? I’d already purchased the max amount before I received the extra bag slots from HOT and I can not use, sell or gift them, but would much prefer to be allowed to have even more space in My bank.

Would be nice, and would potentially sell more bag slots in the gem store.

A solid idea; eliminate the account bound limitation, allow them to be sold on the BLTP, gifted to friends or traded.

As a casual player, I can not put in any valued opinion on WvW, PvP and many of the complaints I have read here; However, for My own personal view; there are many changes, additions and so on that could be offered to entice players to play more often.

I’d love a ‘home’ that is unique to each account.. that you can perhaps place rewards and items into to show off to anyone you ‘invite in’. Though, now that sounds like playing Sims.. but whatever.

Less of a gold/gem sink for items of little value over all. Skins should be earned IMO, though not as difficult as they seem to be for casual players.. outfits look pretty but spending money for gems to get them? meh… at least offer them both as a way of obtaining them in the game by completing missions or so on, AND offer them for gems for those who want to skip the progression of the game.

Oh, the bugs.. floating Dylaks, creatures fighting from inside rocks.. funny but annoying.

I know the GW2 touts itself to keep players even in certain ways but a bit more openness on altering the GUI interface with weapons and skills and maybe, in the same vein as WOW, having the ability to place some items into slots on the left/right of the action bar for items we may want to use regularly without opening bags would be nice.

Oh, and expanding the 11 slot limit in the bank! If you charge 400gems for a bag slot or bank slot, allow for more slots so people will chip in gems to get them. I have all 11 and two bank slot tokens sitting helplessly in the bank… that could open up so much more space.

Shared account item slots; nice, but 700 gems for one slot? Cut it down a bit or allow bags and harvesting tools to be utilized from them… that would be quite nice of Anet to allow

Finally. a ‘dream’ request which is just for kicks and I know wouldn’t be taken seriously; but it would be so much fun to be able to swap toons while IN the game… in a battle as a Guardian and think the Necromancer would do better, one click and woosh, you’re in the same battle as the Necro (of course, only if you have said characters already).. Just a whimsical thought.

it is happening to Me as well. My auto loot functions are unchecked every time I log in, my bags are set to show all bags, rather than hide bags. There’s likely more but those are the ones I have noticed the most.

Thing is, ever since HOT, there’s been numerous issues I have discovered that have never happened before.

Floating creatures like Doyaks, just sitting in mid air.
I logged out once while standing on crates in Lions Arch. Logged back in the next day and I was IN the crate. Simple waypoint fixed it but still…….
Fell INTO barrels in a zone instead of ON them.. so I had to waypoint back and run through the section again.
Just little things that are adding up to breaks that Anet is not focusing a fair amount of energy on.. and it’s getting pathetic.

Same with me, but while I am bummed the system seems to be down, I am glad that it’s nothing to do with MY system.. I thought I had a virus, or something wrong with My router… till I was finally able to log in here and read that it seems to be a system wide issue.

So it apparently is on ANET’s side, which is now a wait and see for when it’s repaired.

Sucks because I finished a ten hour work day and looked forward to coming home and killing things to de-stress. Ah well… as long as its the network and not my computer, I’ll patiently wait.

My wife and I enjoy playing GW2 as casual players… but we know there are many benefits to joining a solid, well run guild.

We are primary PvE, though we will occasionally dabble in PvP and WvW.. and we both want to run the dungeons, fractals, events and garner tips and information on how to build up to ascended armors….

Things we don’t want in a guild are overly serious people to run events/trains and so on with.. we both mess up from time to time and play for the fun of it, not the RP aspect of it or worry much if we don’t successfully complete every single daily/monthly and so on….

But we would like a guild that when we collect the items to build rep with (I have a few in my bank).. we can contribute.

And honestly; those with the portal ability cause those vistas can be a real PITA!
