Change the beast mastery spec and make it an elite spec so that rangers don’t have to use pets if they don’t want to :P

If you hover over where u choose your specs for the bottom line, it’ll say something like specializations and elite specializations; whereas the first two just states specializations.

For anyone who bought the game prior to Jan 23, 2015 and will be pre-purchasing HoT, you’ll get an extra character slot.

My question is:
Will you be unable to receive this extra character slot if you purchase it after it releases? And why should it matter when you buy it if this is for “loyal player” as Anet claims?

I remember having 169 on one of my characters and now they have disappeared!
Did they get converted into hero points or something?

It’s been a few months since I’ve played my ranger and I have recently re-geared to berserker’s.

I’m curious mainly on my pet’s damage:

1. Does the the trait ‘Remorseless’ affect the F2 Skill of the Jaguar?
2. Does ’Pet’s Prowess’, ‘Spotter’, Frost Spirit, Hilt Bash, “Sic” em , and the (active) Signet of the Hunt and Signet of the Wild work in conjunction with each other to increase my pet’s damage?
3. If I’m under 25% health and I have the trait ‘Bark Skin’ (50% dmg reduction) , protection (33% dmg reduction, and weakness on a boss (50% dmg). How much damage will the boss do, percentage-wise?

To my knowledge they still are.

Who was the first to confirm this and when did they test it? I’ve very vague memories of reading bugged dungeon potions on the forums.

I got Dawn on my first try.
I put four exotic greatswords (probably from dungeons) in the Mystic Forge.

My elementalist is lvl 58 and isn’t fully geared. Should I focus my trait points in Water and Earth for survivability? And what weapon set should I use? I’m currently using S/D.

What is the primary role of the elementalist in dungeons?

I hit 2k condition damage the other day (buffed). Burns were ticking for about 850. I prefer the self proclaimed op ascended gear +condi +tough +vit +prec (very small amount of precision) as it makes you and insane tank while dishing out the highest condi damage.

They have that O.o?!? I know what armor set I’m going for!!

If you go to the Trading Post right click on Twilight and then click on preview your character will show equipped with it.

I know this but thank you. It looks good because it’s more close up in the menu but once in combat it might be totally different if I were to zoom out a bit more than in the preview menu.

I wish the WvW rank could be account wide. Then purchasing the Commander title with a rank requirement seems more reasonable. Of course some badges and some gold as the OP mentioned before would be needed for the purchase.

You could ask someone in your party, maybe a friend or guildie to target you if you aren’t in a dungeon or something.

Other than that, I agree with you.

I like the ideas here but I kinda cried when I saw Zommoros Support (500 Skillpoints)

So I don’t really know if many people have mentioned (or complained much) about this but I would suggest:

1. Filtering option: Light/Medium/Heavy
It can be tedious to continuously search for the right armor that suits your class. Especially the named ones (e.g. Aidan, Shiro, Zho, etc.) Nothing worse than seeing red text.

2. Filtering option: Backpieces
Currently you need to search “spineguard” for backpieces.

3. Filtering Option: Stats – Major/Minor/Minor
Okay, so you can’t have Cond. DMG/Cond. Duration/Precision – this doesn’t exist. So maybe instead show the prefix or suffix names and their (available) stats.

4. Trading Post as Default not the Gem Store
I would like to see the trading post as I press "O’.
Most of the players use the trading post more than the Gem Store.
ANet, I know you love money but I’m too lazy to click on the Trading Post tab after glancing at the Gem Store.

Mind the relationship between Sigil of Geomancy and Sigil of Earth, as activated effect Sigils share a cooldown. So, if you swap Geomancy, you’ll have to wait before Earth will proc.

Why do they share a cooldown? Can you explain?

I recently decided to play my ranger again and currently using 10/30/30/0/0. However, I was thinking of going 20/20/30/0/0. Losing a bit of crit/precision and some trap traits for extra power, cond duration and the trait, Piercing Arrows. As my utility skills aren’t always (traps) the same; depending on the situation.

For armor i went with Rabid with Undead Runes since I felt a bit squishy with Rampagers (Masterwork).

Originally i favored the axe over sword for main-hand but because I don’t have any melee weapons I decided to give it a shot and maybe even try the GS again. However I do prefer the shortbow as my primary weapon set since i am using a condition build.

So any advice or improvements for this setup?
