Once a farming spot gets too profitable, ie much better than others, it will get nerfed. If the scale thing gets nerfed, that meant too many people were doing it, and it was bad for the game.

The one good thing about Southsun and the zerg that farms there is that they’ve pretty much left the rest of the game to us real players.
No more farming zergs getting in the way of enjoying content in places like Orr.
Whatever happened to anet philosophy, “play the game the way you want.” Maybe he enjoys farming it, and that’s how he likes to play.

Up to you my friend, think of the risk reward factor, either you set yourself back, or you get a spark and finish your legendary.

I was going for twilight, saved up about 300g, was gonna buy lodestones and runestones, and maybe some t6 mats to try to finish up some of the gifts, but instead I played the mystic forge praying to the rng gods for a precursor. 300g later nothing, setting myself back, so I gave up. Nobody to blame but myself haha

I can guarantee you most MMO players don’t play for the story. I didn’t read all of your post, but from what Ive read, it seems you’re trying to force players to focus more on the story. The whole loot/reward system is what makes most MMO successful.
Dang 600g, getting a ticket is almost as bad as trying to win a lottery.
Lots of people complain about the drop rate, simple solution; don’t buy it, you’re just supporting the awful RNG system for the weapon tickets, and they will continue to do it

Sadly anet will continue to do this whole rng thing because they are having success with it, cause suckers will continue to keep buying those RNG boxes. Fortunately, I’m not one of them.

Cliff side bugged, we killed both seals left and right, gate did not open, so we could not progress. Doesn’t happen often, but does happen.
Nah man too easy, why not make it open once a year, and it be a 20 player dungeon, that takes 24+ hours. And to go in, you gotta sacrifice a legendary weapon of any kind, the dungeon would have no wp, repairs, and on top of that you can’t leave the instance until you beat it. If you die with all your armor broken, you die forever!!! And the end reward would be 5g to each player, cause we don’t care about the reward we just want super hard content.
There is a point imo. If I write dungeon: AC LFG NOT SKIPPING and people skip, i should have the right to close instance on everyone and kick them out if they try to not listen. Since im solo creator, I dont have a second on vote kick. I like the idea, the maker of run is the master.
Now it does have issues to be addressed, there is a potential for griefing etc… but nothing is perfect, and if people have ideas to solve the problems, I would like instances kept the way they are
I get your point, since you did clarify before the instance that there will be no skipping, and idiots who can’t read joined. But that’s all I can agree with you there, but that’s not a good enough reason, the system is flawed. It unfair that when the leader leaves, everyone else loses all progress, instead it should reassign someone new the party leader status.
You wanna make a lot of gold in this game without real life money? nonsense, anet will not allow it. but Bro, don’t worry, have you been to place called, the gem store? there is no DR there.
I know the feeling man, it’s fustrating, I would spend an hour and a half doing lvl 38+ fractals, and literally come out with a bunch of greens and some fractal relics. I could haven spent that time and do cof and make 10x the money doing something soooo much easier then Fotm.
Fotm is one of the few reasons why I log on nowadays, but every time I do fractals I get this fear of getting the dredge level during the run, which can easily double the time I have to spend in fractals.
I resent this fractal, it not fun, innovative, nor is it interesting , so basically WE hate it. I’m saying we because I’m pretty sure 99% of the GW population agrees with me.
Do you know how demoralizing it is, doing 2 fractals, then getting dredge on the last one, just makes me almost wanna quit and just start over and getting 3 new fractals (praying not to get dredge again), cause quite frankly I think it would be faster.

Make it shorter or make the current one count as two fractals.
There’s this ATM in game called, citadel of flames (aka cof p1). Don’t worry it only takes 5-10 min of your time. Requirement you ask? Just be lvl 75+, that’s it, no skills required, so easy a cave man can do it.
Then you need to start the instance yourself instead of leeching explorable mode from someone whose completed the story. It isn’t flawed at all.
How would you know if OP hasnt done story? This has nothing to do with that, this is a flawed system because when the instance holder leave, it cause the rest of the party to lose any progress on the dungeon/instance they are doing. How would you feel if you were on your third fractal, and the instance holder leaves, causing you to lose all progress. I agree with OP their should be a system where it can reassign the role to someone else, if the leader leaves.
If they have done story then why not start the instance themselves? The only real reason is. 1: They are too lazy to guest on a different server if whatever dungeon their doing is contested and or does not want to initiate and finish the quest that makes the dungeon uncontested.
Or 2: they have not completed story and are leeching explorable mode off of someone whose done the story.It is NOT flawed. Otherwise Anet would of fixed the issue months ago, if you want to do a dungeon, start it yourself, it’s that simple. I start all my dungeons to avoid being griefed out and having my spot sold. And or network errors.
I understand where you’re coming from, the safe bet is to start your own group. But in the original post, the OP never mention if the instance was even contestable. Which is where your whole argument is based around. He could be talking about AC or even fractals which you don’t need story to open. And for your reason number one, you have to put into accountability that you can only guest once per day.

where is the CoF path 1 nerf at?
I think the laurel system is cool, but I do agree there needs to be another way to obtain ascended amulet and accessory, beside laurels and rng from guild bounty. And I’m not implying a I want it now attitude, but I hate if I want and ascended amulet or accessory, is through obtaining laurels, and I can only get one a day, after that, there is nothing you can do to progress yourself toward that piece of gear. Waiting 1 month to get enough laurel for one piece is pretty rediculous.
I’m not an owner of a legendary nor am I striving towards one, but I do agree they should make it account bound, I simply don’t understand why weapons are soul bound anyways. As much hard work they put into obtaining, at least give them the ability to show it off on their other characters.
What do you guys think having a set time to refund an item from like a dungeon/laurels/etc vendor. I know many of us have bought like 2 of the same name ascended item, then realizing we cannot equip both, or buying a wrong piece of armor with dungeon tokens. Maybe like within 5 mins of the purchase, you have the chance to return it, because you made a wrong purchase, and after 5 minutes you can’t.
I’m sure there are pros and cons to this, what do you guys think.
Just to clarify things on this refund idea, this is for vendors only like laurels and dungeon vendors. Stuff you bought from TP or the gemstore does not count

… you seem to have missed a number of engi’s saying they always find a group quickly.
There’s three people claiming it’s easy for them and two saying otherwise. Those numbers don’t really help with your claim. Please, again, read the thread carefully.
In addition, the only people that have it easy with that class are those that are in guilds or run with steady groups. If you were trying to find randoms, you would see how that goes.
Feel free to make your own group, with the same conditions(place an add specifying the class) and you can see for yourself. But this is something you should have done already since you call people as “doing something wrong”

You shouldn’t have problem at all joining a group, I do not how understand how you should be. And if you’re having trouble finding a group as easy as the dungeon is, nerfing the dungeon making it harder, wont help your chances. Trust me, I’ve played GW and and now Gw2, knowing Anet, Cof is bound to get nerf, any efficient/fast way of farming/making money Anet will nerf. Sure nerf cof, doesn’t mean more people are gonna start doing it, people will just abandon it, Ascalonian catacomb is a prime example.
If you’re usin gw2lfg.com then you shouldn’t have any problem getting in a group with any class. There are a lot of nonelitism group out there.
Elitism is part of every MMO, I never have problem finding a cof group. There are a lot of non elitism out there, gw2lfg.com is your best bet, and as long as you know what you’re doing, doesnt matter the group or class, you should finish in an efficient amount of time.
Gw2 is always there for you, as long as you remember your log in.
What do you mean? When you’re trying to avoid buying the windows version?
When you buy the game, you are buying an account, you can download the client, as many time as you want, anytime on any computer as long as you remember your log in. Mac or Windows.

i really want a character re-customization as well guys but for the people that are quitting until it comes out. Thats only hurting you and youre losing out on progress/gold that can be made just because you cant be the opposite gender or your face looks a bit off. Please think about that for a second. After i did I realized that it was an extemely stupid reason to stop playing im sure most would agree
I agree with you, it’s sounds silly and stupid that the feature of not being to change my appearances is keeping me from enjoying the game, and not playing until its available. But I had high hopes for it for a couple of weeks, just to be let down. I’m not quitting the game, I’m just not interested in logging back in, until this feature is available.

I was expecting and I was disappointed, I waited two weeks for last night patch, just for this makeover kit, thinking for sure this was gonna be in it. Im a little annoyed that all these people who didnt get the game on release or were too lazy to level up are expecting to have all these items handed to them at level 1.
What is wrong with Anet rewarding high level players with content when they have worked hard and supported the game from the beginning.
Iv supported this game from the beginning, I bought the art of guild wars 2 book when it was released YEARS ago.
I prepurchased the game and have have 2 lvl 80 characters and a lvl 65.
I dont think its wrong for people like me to benifit from these events more than others because we have worked harder and prepared.
I dont think its wrong for me to want to be rewarded for my support and hard work over people who just bought the game a week ago and now want all this high end content for free.
I bought over 2000 gems for this event with gold that I earned through legitimate means. Let me benifit form that please.
All im seeing when im reading your post is selfish, just because they didn’t get the game on release doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to participate in the halloween event. And no one is asking stuff to be handed to them at level 1, they’re are just simply asking if anet have content for all level characters. No one is being lazy to level up, the game has been out for about 2 months, new player are coming into the game everyday.
I am in the same boat you are, I’m bored with dungeons, and not interested in PvP, or WvW, so i don’t bother with them. I have done dungeons loads of time, already geared my character with all the dungeon stuff i wanted. That being said, I don’t agree with adding higher tier weapon, or add high lvl cap, that would just ruin the philosophy of the game. I’m waiting for this content update for the halloween, maybe it will give us more content to enjoy. If not i can alway take a break, and come back one day when they add loads of more content, that i have no doubt anet will do.
