I have been traveling in Europe and return tomorrow. I miss all you guys immensely, but the Internetz on the cruise ship (it was a European river cruise) was sooooo terrible that every time I tried to post the entire thing disappeared. I wish it was today… but like the others said with both the Mesmer and Guardian it followed the Tuesday = Teaser Image; Thursday = Article; Friday=livestream. So it looks likely that the pattern would follow.
I’ve heard rumors that we might get a break after the third reveal, but not sure how reliable it is.

I would safely assume the end of august….if you look at the fact that we still have at minimum 6 more weeks of elite specializations, plus part two of the revenant, plus the rev’s elite spec, thats a total of 8 weeks, plus a GvG blog or two, and then you know a few other blogs about random things….puts us right around the beginning of august…

And as others have pointed out, would put it releasing right around the 3rd anniversary

I hope they switch it to something different since Moas have been done before with Mesmer.

Engineer already has elixir S. Maybe you could have some sort of AOE shrink potion on enemies that would (unlike S) still leave them vulnerable.

Can you image how fun it would be to throw an elixir on a whole group on enemies, and have them all turn into tiny little toy figures that you then clear up with your flamethrower?

Ehh, from what I saw the CD was 25(?) seconds…but that is, as always, subject to change….And the Moa only lasted for what? 2 or 3 seconds?

We also don’t have a heal which would properly benefit from Glamour traits so I don’t see this happening either.

Chronomancer could have a Glamour heal. A healing field that we drop on the ground would make a lot of sense if it’s a defensive/supporty spec, which seems likely.

How about reverse-confusion field that will heal allies on action instead of damaging.
Or a swarm of butterflies that would bounce on allies, healing, granting a random defensive boon and restyling their outfit.
Or immobile phantasm that slowly breaks into butterflies, healing nearby allies.

This whole shield mess just proves that either the balance team don’t know what they are doing or that they couldn’t give a kitten about Mesmers and have no interest in listening to the people playing their game.

Its incredibly embarrassing for them, I already know people who are leaving the game because of their attitude. I’m currently just logging in for dailies just to keep up a bit on the off chance something amazing happens with the specialization. As soon as the spec information comes out and its as kitten as I am expecting, I’m uninstalling.

Or it could mean that you have no idea what changes are coming with the new healing, utilities, elite, profession mechanics, traits, and you are speculating an entire specialization will be unbalanced because of a 3 second long video clip that shows a mesmer with a shield. Then again seeing as how you are saying you are going to uninstall the game based off that 3 second long clip I guess a rational thinking is a little much to ask.

People, please stop stop assuming the sky is falling from the little bit of information that we have received. They are, of course, allowed to play other games in their own time.

Not only does the company not have the authority to restrict that, but sometimes playing other games gives you good ideas for your own. (Or warns you away from ideas that sound good, but don’t work as planned for that other game.)

Stress Tests are early versions of a game. Please don’t judge something based on a stress test. In fact, I have tested a lot of games over the years and I’d highly recommend you not judge the release version of the game on the beta tests, either. (For, looking back, I’d have gone into StarCraft with some really unfounded concerns about balance, given that the game was tweaked between beta and launch, as is intended with the beta test process.)

Basically, it’s too early to judge the story so please hold on that until release.
