Quaggan DO have beautiful singing voices…. but we have 3 lights, 3 mediums, and 2 heavies, cant do another light/medium, it breaks all the rules of OCD numerology

Engineer is a bad example, turrets are weak and immobile, and die to aoe pathetically easy. Rangers have spirits, guardians have spirit weapons, ele’s have elementals, mesmer is obvious…
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Too powerful/weak. I didnt even ready any of this… But its probably true. In WvW, your pets? AoE fodder. Unless they are tough enough to survive AoE, in that case they are literally blocking the damage for other people since aoe only hits 5 at once, and thats too strong. Theirs a reason you dont see many pets being used in WvW. Summoning would just be a mechanic like necros life force, it cant be a focus unless its like Ranger where you have one powerful pet with the option of more weaker ones.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I wouldnt, im generally not a fan of traits that make only one skill more effective, and its redundant on WoR to make all wards reflect. If a trait only effects one skill it has to be good, like Grenadier for engineers. If you make Ring of Warding ALSO pull enemies inside as it casts, THEN its golden.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I’ve yet to see this happen, usually two sides gang up on the weaker side because its EASY, you farm kills and points. Thats how people tend to be, go the easier path.

I dont even want a heal skill, ya know? Why should i have to lose my health in the first place?
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Before i agree or disagree.. Guardians quickness technically counts as elite, so its safe yes? :P
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
So that you cant use them while stunned/knocked down? So that theirs strategic sense in saving interrupts to stop enemies from healing?
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Actually they should make you earn less loot for using siege weapons anyways, its pretty lame.
You could of stopped using the cannon long enough to loot, or were you afraid someone would take the cannon from you and thus steal an easy ticket to riches?
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
If they do any skinning of anything, it should be for cloaks that everyone can use, not for a quiver for a few classes, cloaks first, cloaks for everyone, cloaks for quaggans.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I’ve never seen an engineer repairing a turret with a wrench.
But right now, no class has any unique WvW functionality, giving this to engineers would require a mechanic for each class, which i wouldnt be entirely against.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
i suggest let them main hand the focus, then they can dual wield focus’s which would look cool, and would save them the trouble of making a new weapon. Offhand focus has a bouncing light beam to support, lets give main hand focus a similar beam of light that burns and bounces a couple times. The secondary would be a dragon-tooth like explosive pillar, good for the burst damager builds, the third would be a condition manipulator of some sort.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
If by melee, you mean short range, then Bombs are extremely viable for engineers. Throwing hammers, Javalins, or Crossbow, i would love any of these to be for the guardian ranged. OR maybe let us main hand the Focus? That way they dont need to work in the new weapon for other classes. Focus is a magical tool, we can use it.

If i go mace/anything else i know im going Honor, spec into those symbols and that mace symbol becomes a large 400-500heal per tick area for all allies. I think valor could use something for Wards, (since you mentioned staff empower, and staff has a ward, and so does the hammer, also in this tree) back in beta guardians had a couple Ward traits for Circle of Warding and Line of Warding and stuff like sanctuary, but it was all taken out, hopefully it will find its way back.
Anyone remember the hilarious ‘wards hurt people for like 100 damage when they run into them’ trait? Good one a.net good one lol
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Rely on your utilities… Spirit Weapons underwater are beastly. I know i super-owned a thief who chased me underwater, even without spirit weapons, because Trident gives me reflection bubble and im a condition build, so i can still burn people.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Does it matter where they get the arrows from? It wont run out. I think this was brought up during beta and shot down because it would require re-skinning a lot of armor for just an aesthetic, and they wont draw from it anyways because that would require re-skinning and re-animating every attack for every race/bow using class in combination.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Why cant my guardian use an axe? Its just like, a mace with an edge on it. Why cant they use guns either? Are guns ‘evil’ ? Its a trigger you pull, and i’d just use the gun magically like mesmers use greatswords. Why cant everyone use a gun infact, its the easiest weapon ever, you point and shoot ! Infact, why dont we have asuran rayguns yet, everyone should get an asuran raygun because THEY EXIST. Infact, why cant my guardian dual wield swords? Infact, i want a raygun thats shaped AS a sword since gun swords existed. Infact i want a sword made out of rays of gun.
Infact, give light sabers to everyone.
Why dont rangers ever run out of arrowx? Or axes for that matter, geeze they got a batman utility belt going on, but speaking of which engineers wow, they store like unlimited bombs in their pockets, i’d hate to see how expensive that must be, in fact, i want my guardian to be able to use bombs, you just light a fuse and BOOM.
But back to the main topic, yes im all for giving Guardians crossbows.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Siege Turtles? Like Age of Wonders, lol
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
/me shrug, i just think that dominating servers will be attacked by neutral PvE forces much more often and have more difficult holding onto all of their territory.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Support siege toys. Like a crossbow rack built onto walls, lets defenders use crossbows as an environmental weapon for people who arnt specced for that or cant do good ranged dmg (guardians)
Funny thing about the flame ram, it doesnt have wheels, it actually hovers, which would both make it very mobile and very bad at ramming things while not moving.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Regeneration already works like that, so the passive is out for stacking, but pulling multiple downed people out of battle could be effective. People would just need to learn to focus more and not give them a chance instead of just all aoe all the time.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
People were asking about the ability to ‘drag’ downed team mates to safety, WvW is all about having the burst to actually kill people, forcing respawn. This siege camp would have the ability to pull those downed players to safety, but on a cooldown so it cant save everybody. Elementalist can do something similar but much more limited.
As for the fear of stacking them, stacking lots of catapults or trebs is worse since you wouldnt need anyone near the wall, just bombard it! Either way you do it, siege weapons are a threat to be countered, how people do it is up to them.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I dont think this is really a ‘needed’ thing, more of a convenience for everyone… A buildable defense/support siege weapon, like a medical tent that functions the same way as other siege weapons, but instead of shooting enemies and gates, it provides a regeneration aura passively, and its active abilities would include condition removal AoE’s, a guardian-like bubble (targeted) and a skill for retrieving downed allies (but not dead), pulling/teleporting them to the station to be revived.
Like siege weapons, it basically does what some professions can do but it a stronger way.
It would probably cost between a treb and a golem, can be used ontop of a wall in defense or on the field in offense. Naturally you’d want to keep it out of siege range and defend it raids.
Silver costs/supply costs/power of abilities/cooldowns aside, anyone else want to see something like this in WvW?
I’d like to see a variety of support siege weapons, not just all offense.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Use condition damage, or maybe some boon removers, a few classes are really good at that. Everyone just wants to go DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE and whine when it doesnt work. Retaliation is a great way to counter mass AoE and is infact the only way to counter it since wards do not block AoE.
Yet.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
No. And i’ll tell you why….Crossbow.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Yes, fully support the Crossbow. A long range good DPS weapon with a little guardian flare.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I remember this being brought up in beta, i forget what the results were.. I think it was an overall ‘no’ because this would make actually killing people in WvW very difficult.
However, giving it more thought, i could see the potential for some kind of medical siege weapon, something like the engineers elixer R, and maybe with other utilities, like the suggested ‘drag team mates to safety’ via rope thing.
That would be really neat to see, its just another siege weapon, its a threat to take out just like all the others.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Crossbow would suit guardian very well, its a long range powerful weapon. I would love to see them have some kind of self-root, mount their crossbow on a shield of light and shoot like the fortified tower they are. Not like, ranger long range, but scepter long range with actual fast projectiles. The targetted AoE thing is kind of overdone and scepter has that, he’d probably end up with some protection/regen buffs, cleansing/blinding crossbow blasts and maybe a new ranged symbol and a pull. A pull would be cool.

thief/warrior/engineer can auto-attack weakness, but weird on a guardian still, we only just got Chill. Have you ever faced a guardian with spirit sword and hammer? Working together they hurt a lot, and can set you on fire. Theirs a reason the shield and bow are not offensive, it would just be too strong. Necromancers, engineers, elementalists, they dont have a weapon skill to summon another minion.
Although… Temporarily turning the halberd into a spirit weapon, and locking you into your alt weapon set, would be an interesting twist… giving your weapon life.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Guardians have first dibs on Crossbow, as were the only class without a two handed ranged weapon. Makes me think of Battleforge, there was a guardian unit that used a crossbow, big crossbow built into a large shield, they’d plant the shield in the ground and mount the crossbow on top. Guardians could do that, make a shield of light, root themselves, let loose wrath.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Those are what i had in mind, halberd or spear/pike, Crossbow (viable ranged for guardian?) or Javalin, since they had it in GW1
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I’m all for a Halberd, but im also a Guardian. Weakness is a pretty serious condition, not many auto-attacks inflict it. Guardians are also unable to inflict weakness, or many other negative conditions, part of being a Guardian. Most guardian attacks cause some kind of positive effect instead. Also, we HAVE a symbol of wrath already, and they are called spirit weapons, and they are already very powerful with hammer/sword, a third offensive spirit weapon would be nuts !

A.Net has not ran out of realistic and traditional weapons, i really hope they do not jump into exotic territory. One weapon at a time, each weapon will have a ripple effect on class balance and builds, new traits will need added to account for new weapons. Full credit for creativity though and thought out skills.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Survivability comes in many forms… I’ve seen thieves, eles, and mesmers get out of situations you just cant ‘tank’ out of, by means of quick and easy escapes.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Compared to spirit weapons, shouts, and consecrations, i didnt really like meditation EXCEPT for judges intervention (which is already instant, making the trait to make it instant useless). It just seems to have the most JUNK traits inside of it, while honor is so hard to pick between buffing symbols, buffing shouts, or one of the two amazing revival skills.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Of course, i tried to make it clear that gear was the same. Is this +100 condition damage food, or the temporary 200 condition damage after a kill food? AND a master tuning crystal which is 6% toughness into cond and 4% vit into cond ? It must be a lot of stacks of might because thats the only possible explanation (ontop of 3 orb bonus). But the burning duration is still so long, but it could be a bug as i tried the same rotation twice in a row and got much different results, plus the trait to increase burn length for VoJ didnt make any difference when i tried it. Glad im not the only one though who, even though were the same stats, our traits differ. Awesome customization in this game.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Yeah a lot of you knew this was coming. They are the best race, and should be playable.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I’m really confused here… I’m wearing the same gear, all exotic, all carrion, all gemmed. I have the same build, 10/30/0/0/30. I’m using a scepter/torch, i focus on burns. But im hovering at a little over 1200 condition damage. WITH +!00 condition damage food, WITH a Master tuning crystal, and WITH 25 stacks from a Suprior rune of corruption, i still would not have 1800 condition damage.
Since your sigils and runes dont give condition damage, its not that. Infact my armor runes give me 30% burn duration, and a fancy pizza gives me 40% burn duration, and i specced my virture of justice to have increased duration upon activation. I couldnt get more than 40 seconds burn duration with all of that, i threw down the purging flames to burn, i teleported in with judges intervention to burn, i spun with my sword to proc a burn every 4th hit, i popped VoJ to burn with another hit, i swapped to torch to throw zealots flame for another burn.. Couldnt get more than 40 seconds, infact the second time i tried this, it ended at 28 seconds for some reason. Again, same build, same gear, except with a 40% duration pizza and two 15% burn duration runes and 10% from Zeal.
Were you in WvW with 3 orbs and a few stacks of might at the time? Because the numbers are simply not adding up, almost 600 missing condition damage that i would like to have.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Zeal is amazing for spirit weapons, especially if you want to burn with them, Plus 10 points into zeal is amazing for any damage dealer, your targets going to be on fire alot, thats a free 10% damage boost for all weapons.
@Tomkatt I’d rather spec into Virtures and Honor to make Aegis good, auto protection, faster cooldown, faster aegis refill, not to mention the boon duration boost. So what if aegis blocks and burns the enemy? Zeal will make that aegis AoE burn enemies, AND it applies to allies who receive my aegis.
Zeals got greatsword damage, which is the most popular Guardian weapon, and if your going for Greatsword, zeals got your power, and condition duration, which synergizes with the 10% bonus vs burners too.
The stats in this tree dont benefit meditation that much either, one of them burns, one of them heals, one of them boons and one of them hurts, toughness/crit dont belong on those, your forced to get precision just to make the crit damage useful, otherwise its a wasted stat.
Whether it was dps/condition/tank/heal/support or a hybrid, i always ended up working Valor out completely.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
You think bleeds have it bad? HA! Try fire ! If you try to burn someone with a circle of fire, watch out for team mates shooting projectiles, because now they set the target on fire too, and their weak burns are clogging up the stronger burns in duration.

Disable helmet, or put a new model on it with transmutation skills. If even one person disagrees with you and likes how it looks, your point becomes moot.

This would allow people to farm CoF, the fastest easiest dungeon, to get gear from any dungeon.
Which is why its a bad thing.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Of all the guardian builds i’ve tried, i’ve never found myself ever going deep into this tree… From the start, it offers toughness and crit damage.. Kind of weird right there, one trait that requires high precision, and another trait for tanking..
Its passives are extremely weak, any support you can gain from this tree can be gained twice over in Honor, which in my opinion has TOO MUCH GOOD STUFF!
The minors.
Adept. Auto aegis at 50%? That can be good, if you trait into aegis (in other trees)
Master. I guess that helps after you’ve already lose, if you get back up a free aegis is good (if you trait into it elsewhere again) Honor has a trait similiar to this, but it gives you AND your ally protection/aegis/regeneration when you revive them.
Grandmaster. Might when i block? With my shield? No? Mace can block one attack with the counter, so thats one stack of might. If you go mace/focus you can get 4 blocks, so thats 4 stacks of might.. by using tank/support weapons.
Major adepts. Burn attackers when you block, like fireshield but less useful, again we arnt warriors with shield stance. +30 toughness to allies? One of the most useless things ! Warrior can give like, +70 power to allies.
Lose HP slower while downed, very narrow, still weak, healing is better.
Purity only duplicate what our signet does, its supposed to tick every 10 seconds but given how conditions fly around, and that theirs no counter for this, i’ve yet to actually see this ever make a difference. Purity/signet SHOULD act like an Aegis for conditions, blocking the first condition to hit you every 10 seconds.
Retributive Armor, 5% of toughness = precision boost, FINALLY some Synergy ! 300 toughness for 30 Valor will give ya 15 precision, but 3000 toughness will get you 150, but even with the crit damage boost, your power wont let you hit that hard, unless your some kind of power/toughness/precision/crit damage tank build.
Major Masters.
Mace of justice, 5% mace damage… Mace is your defensive weapon still, and we’ve already seen most skills like this be improved, usually by combining existing traits, so maybe we’ll see 5% mace dmg +20% faster cooldown.
Glacial Heart. Since when did guardians use ice? This is our only Chill effect… We could do without, i’d rather use a weapon sigil and gurantee it, not rely on precision and luck, you cant even actually chill someone when you want too, it could go off at a useless time.
More shield and meditation skills, shield is in desperate need of help, this bad trait path makes it worse. The only meditation i use is already instant.
Grandmaster Majors.
Both of these are healing, but this trait line doesnt offer healing boosts, the heals are minor, warrior shouts AoE heal for more than you’ll self heal with meditations.
In conclusion, whatever build you are going for, you can probably make it better in other trait lines, if you want to DPS with good crit damage, no prec/crit for you, your stuck with some toughness. If you want to tank, no heal/toughness or toughness/boons for you, stuck with crit damage.
This trait line needs some serious help !
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I think burning does 7x more damage than bleed, so its basically 7 stacks of bleed, which means bleed can do several times the damage once stacked up. And confusion hurts the most, i was hit for 1000 damage from confusion, i didnt see how many stacks it was butkittenit hurts.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
If your entire guild can clog up all of WvW, than thats no fun for everyone else. Next thing you know, people will want level/gear requirements for anyone entering WvW…
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
If you had everyones fire burn at the same time, fire would kill people in seconds, you cant combo Bleed like you can combo Fire so that wouldnt work ! But its true that having more than one person apply burning just makes burning worse, especially for game mechanics that are designed to have this happen.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
So another guardian? WoW did not invent the death knight. The guardian is a very original ‘paladin’ archtype, im sure A.Net could make an amazing dark knight.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
I was also thinking a DeathKnight type of class be brought in as a heavy armored dark caster is not available, its really the only gap there is and theirs sort of a empty slot for a 3rd heavy profession… But i think ANET stated no more classes, but will add more weapons which kind of create more classes.
Burn them burn them burn them whoooaaaa!
Even if no one agrees that burning needs a ‘buff’, i think everyone can agree that speccing into condition damage and having your combo fields/Virture of Justice share the casters condition damage, not the finishers. Its our fire!
