Thats sounds more like signets and phantasms/clones.
I like it and it reminds me of an idea i posted of giving the drones clone/phantasm a.i it that they will attack either the target youre locked on to or the target they are deployed on.
That self-destruct idea works and i like it, i just dont want a replica of an destruction turret but mobile. Would prefer no manual self-destruct button but rather a trait that would apply different effect to when a drone is destroyed…. Thats assuming they are destructable things

So with the reveal of the warrior elite, the Berzerker, one other piece of information was also revealed: it looks like Berzerkers will receive a new utility skill type; Rage.
This makes me very happy as, if it is a new skill catagory, it would mean theres a chance the engineers new Drone skills wont be a previous skill type from another class but a new skill type exclusive to the engi.
Thoughts?

Contrary to popular opinion I’d like to have Bots (minions). Now I’ve not played with turrets that much but one thing I wanted when I started gw2 were mobile bots/drones. After trying the turrets I felt they were lacklustrr, in my opinion, and only used rifle turret in my SD build. Now after the HoT trailer seeing what looked like an engi swinging a hammer and being followed my ‘drones’ I got excited. Never the less here is my concept of what the engi spec could be:
Engineer Specialisation – Machinist

Weapon: Hammer
Utility Skills: Minions (Bots)

Static Bot – 1/2sec – 20sec
Deploy a Bot that fires a beam of lightning your target. Activate the bot to deploy a static field at its location. Bot becomes immobile for 5sec
Toolbelt skill: Zap – Stun Target for 1sec

Blade Bot – 1/2sec – 25sec
Deploy a disc blade bot that slices through enemies in its charge playing bleeds.
Activate the bot to make it spin in place damaging and applying bleeds to enemies in range.
Toolbelt skill: Shredder – fire a disc that cuts through enemies in front of you applying bleeds.

Med Bot – 1/2sec – 25sec
Deploy a bot that applies regen to you.
Activate the bot to revive a downed ally.
Toolbelt skill: apply 10sec of regen to up to 5 allies.

Hologram Bot – 1/2sec – 30sec
Deploy a not that becomes a hologram of you taunting up to 3 foes for 3sec.
Activate the bot to Fear up to 3 foes for 2sec
Toolbelt skill: Phase out and grant distortion to yourself for 3sec.

Cannon Bot – 1/2sec 30sec
Deploy a bot that fires an explosive volley and applies vuln. Activate the bot to self destruct dealing damage and launching up to 5 foes.
Toolbelt skill: evade with an explosive dodge back and cripple enemies.

I haven’t bothered with damage but you can get the general idea. I envision them performing more like clones/phantasms than turrets/minions in that they pick a target ( either one you are targeting or the on you targeted when deploying the bot) and have it pursue that target until destroyed or returned.

eaper:
Augury of Death/Decimate Defences/Blighters boon
Spite:
Reapers might/death shiver/close to death
Soul Reaping:
Unyeilding Blast/Vital persistence/Death Perception

My idea is with vuln pretty much at 25 stacks i can maintain 100% crit chance. The valkyrie gear is for a larger Shroud pool as well as raw damage and crit damage. My trait spread helps me maintain a good number of vuln keeping my crit chance up as well as helping me keeping my shroud up as long as possible. The weapons chosen were for a good way to ramp up the vuln.
Ut may be a selfish build but we necros are an inhenrantly selfish class. And with Reaper giving us a way to really chunk through health nicely who needs group support when youre just reaping through everything in youre path XD

For everyone whos excitedly anticipating the Reaper will you be changing your outfit to better suit a more heavy armed behemoth? And if so what are you thinking of?
Im planning to go for this when my Necro gets to max; a mix of CoF, HotW and Arah skins plus Naegling to paddle everything!

This has been happening to me too. seriously thinking about hanging up this game if it continues, which is something i dont want to do, as have been playing since pre-launch. but if i cant start playing until 12am because of this latency/lag nonsence then i dont see the point in playing.

Currently playing a pow/crit static discharge charr using med kit grenade hidden pistols and tool kit. 20/20/10/0/20 went for 10 in inventions for the little boost to toughness and healing as I like to get in nice and close to take advantage of blunderbuss, overcharged and the double hit from jump shot while being agile and mobile thanks to speedy kits

Apologies if any of these are repeats;
1) shotgun skills on the rifle to reflect its close range nature. Something like replace the auto attack for blunderbuss with 600 range that maybe bleeds within 300 range. And add maybe an explosive ground target shot that burns for skill 3 for 900 range.
2) an elite kit that may be a mix of the other kits, so maybe wrench for auto, bleed nades for 2, big med kit for 3, napalm buff for group on 4 and a super mine for 5. Could have a 60s up time with a 2 min cd
