Imo it’s PU. PU builds (condi especially) take little skill to play. I love Mesmer. It’s one of my favourite classes. I hate the fact most people seem to think you have to take it to be viable in WvW though. It’s not the only viable build, it just makes builds OP. Mesmer probably has the best most balanced traits of any class in the game (I play all the classes, quite a bit). You can take any number of trait combinations and make it work. Hell, you can even go glassier than any class and make it work WITHOUT PU.

PU does have one of the lowest skill floors of any build, but a high skill ceiling, the latter being like all mesmer builds. I remember a guildy of mine speccing PU condi one day, and laughing at how easy it was to kill people. He mains warrior kitten , the most generally OP (and widely recognised as being so) class in the game atm.

Kinda wondering if any of you Ele QQ’ers have played since the patch or are trolling. Mine seems a lot stronger, and thats with 4 pieces of celestial armour, 2 celestial weapons. I’m getting bigger crits than pre-patch with only a rune change.

On topic: The condition meta atm is horrific. Truly. It was already a condi meta before, now it’s gone bananas.

I am sorry but the words roaming and gandara at this particular matchup sounds like a bad joke. During this week i had more chances to run into an omega golem walking to a zerg than a single roamer.

I’m finding the same of the other servers, especially GH. Say what you want, but Gandara was always a server with lots of roamers. That hasn’t changed with our influx of bandwagoners, we’ve just been somewhat diluted. I can count the times I’ve had fun small scale 1v1 or 1vX fights without getting ganked this season on 1 hand.

I’m still getting this error. Wasn’t able to log in at all last night, despite trying for 3 hours, and still can’t get in today. All my chars are in LA (They never will be again after this)

Never had any troubles like this before without there being a server problem.

EDIT: Just got in after an age of loading. Moved my char to Rata Sum, can now get in on him but can’t use any skills and I dc every time after 3 minutes or so.

You even in your video ask for all AoE on BORD, where would the AoE have gone if we hadn’t come? It’s not a matter of ego it’s that you put us next to the category of pug like we are less and it’s frankly insulting.

To bad we weren’t recording our view off the fight, it would actually be entertaining to watch instead of a guild group on siege. Lucky we were in the neighborhood to keep them pinned or this would never have happened

I took my Ranger out yesterday for it’s WvW debut after just reaching 80. Had some awesome small scale fights, even got a couple on video.

Funny you should say that, I’ve been playing a relatively bunker Mesmer. Well, it’s got 1600 toughness. Been toying with the idea of making a more bunker version, with reflection on the Focus.

Yeah I think it was one of your video’s that got me interested in running a build like this. To me it seems like it’s the Ranger version of the D/D Ele, as in it’s a veritable tank with its healing, and is imo the strongest build for this class, much like D/D is for Ele.

It makes me wonder why more people don’t use it. Bow Rangers are no problem with this build. There’s one in the video I posted, popping in late in the fight.

I just got my Ranger to 80 earlier today. It was my last 80, last because it never really excited me. Bu now it’s become one of my favourite roaming classes. I made a variation of the RRR build, using Cleric’s trinkets instead of Apothecary (Apothecary’s too expensive) and a trait or 2 different from the norm. I got a lot of great fights in my first few hours, below are a couple I managed to get on video.

I always found the bow to be boring, running Sword/Dagger and Axe/Torch is great fun though and very action packed.

Anyone have any good Ranger 1vX videos?

Is it open anywhere in the EU right now? Needs me some Cavalier trinkets.

The duels were awesome, I truly enjoyed the fights even tho I ended up tanking the floor quite a few times. I hope next time there will be less mesmers tho, mesmers are kinda sorta the worst nightmare rangers can face :< Feel free to poke me again if anyone is up for duels, be it in wubwub or sPvP!

That Hammer Warrior was awesome. He beat me every profession I played, had a 10 minute fight among others with my Ele, nearly beat him with an experimental Mesmer build I was using, and he beat my new experimental CC DPS Warrior build (I usually run Mace/Mace full PVT, was trying GS/Hammer with some knights, but with same traits). Very tough!

Also, the 5v5 and 6v6 we did were good, although we got beaten thoroughly :P
